I bought the 8 in pewter. (I normally wear 8) and they were a little tight. I do no think that I will be able to wear socks with them, I have contemplated returning them for a big size but they are not super small so I can live with it. I have not worn them out of the house yet but they keep my feet very warm during these cold winter nights.

I'm still debating whether to return these, I received as a gift I wear a size 8 and they are very tight, I usually buy Minnetonka slippers which are way more comfortable and 1/3 of the price, I am wondering if they will stretch out or should I return!

These slipper are so very comfortable. I had foot surgery recently and I can wear them without any pain. My only concern is that I purchased a pair in red size 10 (had to return size 9 as it too small) but the 10 fit perfect. Therefore, I ordered a size 10 in the black. They are still comfortable, but the depth of the heel is shorter than the red pair so they slip on my heel - just a little. I have kept them because they are still very comfortable. I just wish that they had fit as well as the red pair. I am giving four stars only because of the difference in the heel measurement.

LOVE the Aster color but I personally did not like the color of the lace. It has been painted/dyed gold. I would have preferred a natural; therefore I returned.

I hadn't bought shoes from the UGG brand in a while, so long ago that they were "Made in New Zealand" back then. However, I didn't find the craftmanship to be that different with these "Made in China" Dakotas, at least upon first opening the box. The leather tie feels very secure, and all the stitching looks in place. The sole looks and feels durable, though I don't plan to use these shoes on a hiking trail. Now UGG shoes come with the UGGpure branded name for the wool, and a authenticity sticker, which is all a little silly to me. They are still incredibly soft and luxurious. I bought these shoes as driving shoes for the colder months, but not so cold as to need a full boot. The downside to the design is that if you're not wearing socks with them (which I wouldn't, since mostly what I'm paying for is to have the soft wool against my bare skin), is that it gets a little cold on top. You don't risk the overheating that happens with the taller boots when wearing them indoors. I am usually a perfect 7.5 in shoes, but I was falling out of the size 8's, and still get a bit of slip with the size 7's. However, I'm happy with the way they fit now. Lastly, I need to add that Zappos was, as always, amazing with the customer service. I used the 1-Day shipping service, and got my shoes the next morning. Actually, the package was delivered to the wrong place, so UPS didn't get the box to me until 5pm that day. I decided to exchange them for a different size. I completed the FREE return/exchange online, printed the FREE return shipping label, and I dropped off the box at a UPS store that evening for FREE. My NEW shoes were already out for local delivery by 6am the next day, and in my hands before noon. WOW!
