I've never been an Ugg girl and I never thought I'd ever own a pair in my life. I never liked the popular ugg boot, so I guess I had a bias against them. But alas, when I went on a search for the perfect house shoe, these were the ones that kept coming up over and over again. I needed something with a good amount of cushion on the bottom, as the reason I need house shoes is my feet hurt after walking on hard wood and tile floor all day. I also wanted something warm and stylish, that I wouldnt be embarrassed to wear around the house. I think I tried on at least 7 different pairs of house shoes, and this one is the one that really meets all my needs. It's a lot of money to pay for a pair of house slippers, but according to the reviews, these should last a long time, so Im considering it a good investment. Also, I listened to the other reviewers. I normally wear an 8 or 8.5 and the 9 fits perfectly. It fits my feet snuggly. It's not TOO tight, but it's just slightly snug, which means they're comfortable out of the box, but will fit when they eventually stretch, too. Also, they have a back to them, but I've found I dont need to bend over or use my hands to put them on. I just need to wiggle my foot into them, which is what I wanted, as I wanted something that would slip on easily. Also, I LOVE the chestnut color. The color shown in the photo is pretty spot on.

When I first received these moccasins they were extremely tight... which was weird because I have a pair bought years ago and never had this problem. Give the shoes a try and wear them for a few days and they will form to your foot!!! Very comfortable and cozy!!!

Listen to all the reviews - order at least a size bigger than you normally wear. Yes, they will stretch out some but if you don't order a bigger size, you won't even be able to put your foot inside the shoe. All that being said, I love my grey Dakota's and would gladly choose this to be the only thing I ever wear on my feet but I wish I had ordered the 11 rather than the 10 (and I'm usually in the 9 to 9.5 range).

Super cute but ran small, which I found odd because my 2 pair of Ugg boots seem to run on the large side. I'm reviewing after only having them about one week and they definitely need some breaking in. I have high arches and there is little give in the top of the shoe and the laces are decorative, you can't really loosen them to loosen the moccasin. A lot of fuzzy, comfy, wool inside the slipper so they are warm, can't imagine you would want to wear socks with them, but thick socks won't work. I wear a 10 and ordered a 10. I feel like 11's would have been too big, so I'm just hoping a little breaking in will help them be my new favorite slippers, otherwise, these were a little expensive to just sit in my closet.
