Been looking for a wide calf boot for ages (I'm about 16 1/2 calf). These boots are perfect. There is a little extra room in the calf, but it's perfect when I want to wear thick tights or jeans tucked into the boot. Wish there were more colors.

I love the style, only wish it sported a shorter, say 1.5" narrow heel. Heel is too high, 3+". Makes it very hard to walk; and feels uncomfortable. Also, a woman wearing 11+ size shoe is likely very tall already (as am I); wish the shoe companies created more styles with medium heel; not only flat and super high.

I got these on sale and for the first time in my life my legs were swimming in these boots (there was like a 4" gap between boot and calf)! I ordered up and got a 10 but a 9.5 would still be too big. I have 17.5" calves and always struggle to find nice boots that will fit. The heel is too skinny and they were not comfortable at all. They looked to be of nice quality though. If you have large calves these will fit. However be aware that the bigger sizes are much bigger than the listed 17.75".

So disappointed! I am not sure where the measurements for shaft size were taken from, but these boots are not extra wide in the calf area! Beautiful boots, so sad I had to return.
