These are high quality booties and likely very warm. That said they are very wide. I measured the circumference of the pair I purchased (size MD -US Women's 7-8) and it came in at just under 15" around. The sole measures approx 6" across the width of the bootie.

this is the second pair of these that we've bought, and the "soles" wear out too quickly though he doesn't wear them outside very much maybe just to go get the paper

These are not meant for wearing outside; they are house slippers. And as such, they are awesome! They are basically down sleeping bags for your feet and ankles and keep them toasty warm. I particularly like the high sides because I often have cold ankles. Get them big enough so you can wear them with wool socks if you need to. I wear a woman's size 11 shoe and the size XL works great for me. I bought a pair in 2016 and are just replacing them now (4 years later) because they are wearing out on the bottom, inside and out. I love these slippers.

Ordered the slippers because my husbands feet are always cold. He has even been sleeping in the slippers. He is really wheel chair bound so he doesn't walk about much. not looking for a arch support just a warm slipper

The fit is accurate. I am a women's size 9, and the large was fine. The bootie is not a shoe but rather a loose slipper with a high fit up to my low calf. As a result it is a little roomy inside with a comfortable loose fit. It would be great for a winter hut trip, or moving around outside on a camping trip. You can wear them in the house, but they are a bit bulky for a house shoe and felt cumbersome. I would rank this as an outdoor activity type bootie, be it camping in the winter or summer, or skiing into a hut. Quality is excellent. I am returning them because they are a little more bulky than my intended purpose as a house shoe.

They run a bit small but so what? This is my second pair. I live in the land of deep snow and cold. These feel like warm little clouds of cush wrapped around my feet. Aaaaahh! ...highly recommended.

Very warm and snuggly. I suppose they are meant to be roomy, but I would order at least a half size smaller next time. These replaced a worn out pair of Baffin Cush slippers, and the Cush fit is smaller than this style. I only gave a 3 star style rating because style is not really the selling point on these, at least for me.

Happy feet. My feet are happy and oh so warm and cozy in these Baffin booties. I only wear them around the house. So far they are holding up well. I wear 7.5 and medium fit perfectly. They are quite wide. I thought that might be a problem but as soon as I slipped them on and adjusted the “drawcord locks” I was sold.

Ordered these for my dad. He is a outside smoker and needed something to wear while he’s outside. He said they are very warm and comfortable. He really likes them.

Bought these for my son. They fit great, and are super warm. They’re really wide but for slippers, not a big deal.

Awesome slippers. They help keep heating bills down. Note that Baffin revamped these, improving them from the 2014 pair I owned. They have more insulation, and I needed a larger size than last time (XXL this time for men's 10.5). Zappos got these to me in less than 24 hours! Wow!

These are perfect for keeping cold feet warm. There's enough insulation in the bottoms to keep cold from seeping up from the floor and they're roomy enough for feet that are swollen. They're also easy to get on and off. The person who wears them has wide feet and high arches and swollen feet, and these work great for all those common foot problems because there's no real fit to them other than the length. The soles have a grippy bottom so they work well on hard floors. About the "felt true to size" and "felt true to width" ratings: These are just bags for your feet. The left and right sides are basically interchangeable. The length changes depending on the size, but that's really all the "fit" there is.

These are awesome. I have lived in these for years now. I swear by them in winter for their warmth. Nothing like it. Use them as bootie slippers. The treads do wear off after a while and can make the boots slippery on floors/carpeting but that's when it's time to get a new pair. I'm about to order another pair since I just bought these for my BFF. You will never have cold feet again!

These are great booties and very warm. Lightweight and grippy soles prevent slipping on wood floors. I wouldn't wear them outside over any rough surfaces, though. I am a women's 9.5 shoe and the Large fits perfectly.

These do exactly what I thought, keep my feet warm. They're comfortable and roomy. They look like space boots, but, I love them nonetheless. Very cute in the navy color I ordered. If you are tired of your freezing feet, these should do the trick.

These slippers are everything the best reviews say! Super warm, comfortable, stay put on your feet with the ankle synch cord and cushy. They make you feel like you are walking on a cloud. The footbed has no arch support but they are way more comfortable than walking around barefoot on cold floors. My Uggs mules which have been my slipper of choice are now in the closet. I ordered a 6 which is my normal size, and it is big and wide, but it is comfortable and stays on with the ankle synched. I would order your normal size...it is a bulky warm slipper and designed to keep you warm, not stylish. The Baffin Base camp slipper is awesome!!

The large is a little roomy for a men's size 8-9, but the medium would probably be too snug. Zappos was very responsive since I must have accidentally ordered an extra large, which was way too big. They sent a replacement immediately and we received it within 3 days.

If you are troubled with cold feet - take off your socks and put these on - they are like little furnaces - toasty comfort.
