These shoes are described as sporty, but I also think they look great with skirts. While I usually get Munros in a 12 narrow instead of an 11.5 because of my crazy orthotics, I felt like having something I could just slip on, and I made the right choice in my true to size. I have no problem with the elastic pressing down. Because of my foot and ankle problems, I probably wouldn't wear them for a long trek, though people with OK feet would undoubtedly find the Tess a fantastic walking shoe. I've worn these to the store, yoga, and around the house, which is a good test for me because it doesn't take long for my ankles and feet to hurt without proper support. The fact that Munro fine tunes widths is a life saver because I could never wear such a cute shoe in a medium, especially with elastic instead of ties. I'm so glad they're made in America, and I'm bowled over by Zappos' fast service!

I ordered these shoes in a narrow and the width was perfect for my narrow feet. They were very comfortable when I tried them on. I decided to return them as the rounded toe box confined my toes too much.

I was dealing with some plantar issues and Munro shoes were recommended. They are expensive but great shoes; I now have several pair and happily, the issue has resolved itself. They fit well, are extremely comfortable and present a more polished appearance than sport shoes. One surprising thing is that although I often choose WW width, the W width fits me perfectly in this shoe.

Comfortable right out of the box. I wear a C width, which usually means a B(M) is tight and a D(W) too wide. But based on other reviews which described the bands as tight, I ordered the W and it worked out just right. I'm not hot on the styling but wanted a casual shoe that did not look like a work or orthopedic shoe.

My favorite shoe ever. I wear a 10.5 AAAA so I am almost impossible to fit. This shoe hugs my feet but is not too tight, provides support for standing at a party or walking miles, great for riding a bike for 15-20 miles, and is perfectly comfortable with or without socks. Worth every penny! (I own 4 pairs. When I die, bury me in these shoes!)

Extremely comfortable shoes. They go with so much that I wear. Have had people ask me where I got the shoes as they really like the looks of them.

I love these shoes and bought a couple of pairs. They are very stylish and I've received many compliments. They are very comfortable walking shoes as well. I even wear them with bare feet! Great with all types of pants.

What wonderful shoes! In addition to being exceptionally comfortable, they fill a big hole in my shoe wardrobe. They provide excellent support but do not look nearly as clunky as athletic shoes. They are very comfortable without socks, so I will wear them all summer for walking around the city. I am going to order every color that is available.

I was so excited about this shoe, and put it right on. For the first 10 minutes it was all that I had hoped: lots of toe wiggle room, light, just enough heel. But then the elastics closed tightly on my high high instep, and I was in pain. I hate to send them back, but back they go. Maybe looser elastic, Munro?

I love this shoe, and was really hoping it would be a good fit. I wear a 7 wide, because my foot is wide across the toes but I have a narrow heal. But the toe box was too narrow for me. So, thank you, Zappos, for your excellent return policy.

One of the best pair of shoes I have ever purchased. I immediately bought another pair in the brown/bronze color. I can walk miles in them....they are just like my athletic walking/running shoes in comfort, but they are quite a bit dressier. Wonderful shoes for me...as I have had Achilles problems in the past. I absolutely love these shoes!

Nicely made shoe. Runs a little narrow and slightly long. Not as good a fit as I would have liked and the heel was slightly higher than it looks, which does not make me as comfortable as others like Naot that look about the same in the pictures. Good support. I returned it, but think it would be a good looking, comfortable choice for someone else that has a less problematic foot than I do.

I'm very excited about this shoe. I'm heading to Europe where I'll be doing tons of walking and I wanted something both stylish and durable, and I've found it! Super comfortable and lots of support.

I absolutely love these shoes. They are the most comfortable Munro's I have ever purchased. I bought them in an 11-1/2 wide. They are extremely comofrtable and supportive. I highly recommend them.

I bought these shoes for a trip to Europe as I needed something that would look decent going to nice restaurants at night, but were kind to my feet after long days of walking around cities, standing in museums, etc. I was not disappointed. They were very comfortable, but looked really nice with a dressier pair of slacks and an occasional long skirt. I could wear them to the theater or to fine restaurants without feeling embarrassed by my footwear. With 8 EE's that is kind of tricky to do and it is hard to find something that fits that bill. I have them in an antiqued silver tone, which I see they don't have on here, but the color was fabulous with anything. Very neutral but not boring. The arch support is okay but nothing to write home about. I opted to remove the insoles and put in more supportive orthotics. It's a nice feature that the brand allows you to do that without ripping out something that is glued in like it would be in a cheaper shoe. This is my absolute favorite brand and Zappos is unparalleled!

I love this shoe. It fits well and looks great with tights and skinny pants. I have problems with my feet, but I can go far in these cute, with-it shoes. I first bought them in black but in a couple of months I decided I had to have them in brown.

I love Munro American shoes. Just discovered them this spring; these are my 3rd pair already. I have very wide (E/EE) feet with a high instep, so it' hard to find attractive shoes that fit. I prefer sandals in the summer highly recommend the Monroe American Erin (tortiseshell is really pretty) and Ariel (fabulous in navy snake). As a consultant I have to go into a lot of different work environments. I have not worn them out yet, but the Tess is really cute and looks perfect for times when I need a closed-toe summer shoe. Love the brown/bronze color; overall these shoes definitely have a touch of nerdy, funky, and cute appeal.

This shoe is worth the added expense of purchasing Munro America. I have a very wide foot foot and this shoe was perfect. Love the support and the shoe is very attractive. I did go down a half size from my first order. Love it that Zappos doesn't mind returns and it is free. This shoe is casual, but is great with slacks and a pretty top to head out to lunch or dinner.

This shoe is great! I have a very long, narrow, difficult-to-fit foot, and this is the first non-lace-up shoe that both fits and is comfortable that I have found in years. I have two pairs (bought at different times) and would buy another if it came in navy. This shoe can be worn with a dress as well as with pants, so it is a good shoe to take when traveling.

It does not get any better than Zappos and Munro American for shoes for me. Love the fast Zappos delivery and ease of return if needed. I wear a 12 N and Munro is always the best fit and now that there are few more stylish casuals available I am even happier with the product.

These are great! They are very comfortable but they don’t look like support shoes. They tread a nice line between casual and semi-dressy. The silver color is better looking in reality than it is in the picture. I have really fussy feet, and for the most part I live in sneakers, so I’m so happy to find something that is almost as comfortable as a sneaker. They have a narrow back heel which is very good for me, but they give my toes plenty of room. They run true to size. If you have very wide feet, you’ll definitely want to order the double wides.

True to size. Munros always fit my long narrow feet. These look great with pants and feel good.

If you have narrow feet like me, these shoes are perfect for you! I found they were true to size and very comfortable. They're supportive and enclose your feet well. That said, it is quite difficult to wear thicker, athletic-type socks with these shoes...I like wearing it with very thin bamboo socks or no socks at all! Love it!

Very nice shoe - I just wish Munro American would make 12.5s - the 12s are too short and the 13s flop around on my foot and my heel slips out. The color is awesome.
