I have narrow feet and very narrow heels. I've tried on countless numbers of boots this winter trying to find a waterproof boot that doesn't slip off of my heel. This one's the ticket. Super comfortable, and my foot doesn't slosh around inside. Runs a tad small, but I didn't need to size up. Very comfortable for walking. I wore them walking around a museum for four hours this weekend, and my feet, legs and back felt great. Finally, a waterproof boot that fits and is comfortable!

I have to send this one back. I loved the look and the fact that it's waterproof - necessary in Oregon- but the circumference is 15 inches in size 9. I have a slim calf and these are swimming on me. The description says 13.5 circumference in size 6, and I'm just amazed that it gets so much wider in just 3 full sizes. Very disappointed because these are really cute and comfortable otherwise.

Out of the 15 boots I tried on, these were the only ones that were comfortable. I have pre-bunions and pre-haglund's and plantar fasciitis. All other boots rubbed some part of my foot that caused pain. So I really do not care that these are not the most stylish boots or that they are pricey. My feet are happy!

This is a fabulous boot, very attractive and quite versatile with maximum utility. The knee length with slouch capability makes it very fashionable and gorgeous with pants, dresses, leggings. The Gor-Tex keeps your feet dry and warm. Fit is commensurate with the customary Mephisto sizing! Comfortable with adequate support for the average person without problems. I love Mephisto—I’ve been wearing them for 12-15 years.

I have dressed these up and down. I had to order a 2nd pair, as the first pair's zipper dug into my ankle. Zappos was excellent in exchanging them. The boots have been extremely comfortable, supportive and love that they have a slight wedge heel. They length of the shaft is not too tall for my 4'11" height. Wore them all over Germany and Austria in February, warm and comfortable.

I am a petite in size 4 and wear my sneaker in 7.5. I ordered Mephisto Linda in 7.5 and it fits well (with no socks). I can wiggle my toes with no problem. I have runner's calf and it zipped snugly over my jeans. However, I find legging a more perfect fit. The boots are beautifully made and comfortable enough for long walk. My feet was dry and warmth when outdoor temperature was lower than 60F. Worn it once to an indoor concert last winter and my feet felt like they were in the oven. The only issue I have is the vent holes on the squish fabric lining insole. I appreciate the clever design for ventilation purpose, but the prominent holes are not really heel friendly. I almost had a few blisters on my heel after a day out walking in the city. To solve the problem, I stack Kleenex on top of the hole just to create a layer of protection to my heels, it works. But it needs to be replaced often otherwise it will be a mess. Overall, it is a nice looking and yet practical winter boots.

These are phenomenal boots in appearance, comfort and style. Following six returns, I think I have a boot to wear for many purposes and any occasion and climate. Finally a boot that doesn't slip in the heel They are perfect for the thinner foot (B width) and slimmer ankle, and so stylish for pants (or jeans) and great height for skirts and a circumference that is approximately 15" in the size 10.5 I purchased a half size larger to compensate for the small heel lift and snugger fit with the latex material (suede-like) but weather compatible. Expensive for sure but priced on sale now.

These boots are phenomenal. Totally comfortable and stylish enough for the city.

The boots are great looking, functional and should be very warm. The tread is great for sleet, ice and snow.

Great shoe with a nice sole. I had to return them since they are too small for me (and they don't make anything larger than 41).

This boot was not shown in the video sans pants over it. In short the boot fit at the ankle looks awful and slouchy. I expected it to be stiffer, it was not. Everything the video says was true. If you see it worn outside pants the fits is not one I like personally and I will be returning them.

I was unable to get the boot to zip all the way up and the zipper was itchy. In the photo it looks as if the boot is sueded but it's really just a plain black fabric. It's way too much money not to be made of better materials. If you want a rain boot to keep you dry this may work but it's not the stylish boot it appears to be.The material feels thin and it's hard to imagine it would keep you warm although I obviously didn't use it to find out.

Yes Pricey!! Yes edgy!! Yes Comfortable! Yes waterproof!!! Yes WORTH EVERY Penny!!! I wore these boots all winter. In every imaginable weather crisis, I had my feet firmly planted in these amazing boots. Don't hesitate !! These boots are made for walkin, and that's just what they'll do!!!

I ordered the Mephisto Linda (ML) and the Sesto Meucci Urca (SMU) before a trip. I am a minimalist traveler and need that perfect 1 pair of shoes to bring on trips--waterproof, comfortable, and nice enough to go out to a formal dinner or the office. The style of the SMU boot was slightly superior (ML still 5* on style). I have narrow calves, and both the SMU and ML have average size calf circumferences. The comfort level made the ML boot a clear winner and the average size calf size makes them easy to wear over skinny pants and jeans. The ML lining and padding on the foot bed is fantastic. I feel like I am walking in tennis shoes. The ML lining feels so soft and smooth while the inside of the SMU lining was unfinished and rough. Also, the SMU felt like I was walking on the ground itself (i.e., hard)--so not near enough padding--plus the sole was a bit inflexible for walking. The SMU was also very baggy at the ankle. The ML has that issue as well (as do many boots), but it is not as severe. I kept the ML and sent the SMU back. The ML boots have been with me all over France and the UK for both work and vacation plus I wear them to the office at home, and they still look brand new. For the office, they are nice enough to wear with boots and a skirt or under dress pants. I get compliments on the ML boots all the time, and people are always shocked that they are waterproof. I love these boots!

SO COMFY IT'S SHOCKING. Great boot.

What a great boot. Three weeks traveling in Europe for skiing, tourism, and business in conditions including deep snow, ice, urban pavement, airplanes, and offices. These were excellent in all these situations, looked professional, were comfortable even on the longest days, and took up a minimum of room in my luggage.

This is the best investment I have made since buying Goretex hiking boots twenty-seven years ago. I have searched for years for an attractive winter/wet weather boot that will keep my feet warm and DRY - Eureka! The Mephisto Linda on Zappos.com! This boot can be worn under slacks, with skirts, over jeans - you name it. It fits perfectly and is great to walk in all day long. Whether working in the office or trekking slushy walkways across the Notre Dame campus, my feet stay warm and dry without any perspiration building up causing damp sock syndrome. They are so well constructed, I know they will last as long as my hiking boots, which are still going strong. (I finally got tired of the Olive Oil look with business wear in winter. We can get some serious lake-effect snow in South Bend!) Good looking, well constructed, great fit, sensible investment when you calculate the cost per wear over ten or more years. These boots are going to last.

When you need a waterproof boot that allows for a lot of walking this boot is the best. It has a good bit of style for a weatherproof boot and I have walked in them all day with no problems. I tried on both my normal 7 1/2 and 8 and decided to keep the 8. I have a wide calf and a slightly wide foot and the 8 gave a bit more room in the calf and allowed for thicker socks in the cold weather. Hands down my favorite Mephisto purchase and well worth what is definitely a high price. I am thrilled I bought these boots.

I bought these boots for a 2 month trip to Europe. I wore them most days, and walked about 5-6 miles per day. The boots were amazingly comfortable and durable. I've never paid this kind of money for shoes if any kind, but these were worth every dime. My back felt generally good after all day on my feet. My only issue is that as a woman with large feet, the size 11 were a bit snug. I'd have liked a bit more space. Other than that, these boots rocked!

Very disappointing. The size 8.5 US is NOT size 38 european. Also I felt unbalanced on the boot as if the sole was too small for the foot!

These boots look pretty nice, but I find them to be very comfortable on me. I was hoping for a pair to replace some old Solomon neoprene boots that I used to often do a daily walk in - but these ones just hurt too much after a few blocks. They are stylish, though!
