First pair lasted 15 months or so before the heel split and the toe leaked water. Zappos replaced them and in under one year I am seeing the same damage. I have had Frye boots that lasted 15 years through hard use - these are worn to a casual office environment. Since Frye sold out, their products are nowhere near their once great quality.

This is not a bad pair of boots but the leather is different than the photos and video. The leather is distressed and cracked. The photos show the boots to be slightly polished. I am returning these thanks to Zappos' awesome customer service.

Well, I am sorry to say that these boots did not work out for me. They look great, but they have an unusual cut to them that just didn't fit my foot. I got the 10.5 at first and sent them back for 10's. I have a medium foot and have never had any problem with boots and how they fit. The ball was very tight and even the 10's had a great deal of heel slip. I tightened the straps down as much as I could and still the heel continued to slip abnormally so. The ball leather did not loosen up after about a week of wearing them, so unfortunately I had to bail on them and send them back. First pair of Frye's and probably my last if this is typical for the fit. They were built well and made of quality materials, but they just were not comfortable. Maybe I just got the oddball pair. Too bad. I was looking forward to having these for many years.

This is a very well made boot. The construction and materials are top notch as one might expect in this price range. The style, though similar to an engineer boot, but slimmer through the ankle and leg and much lighter in weight. Though not a job site boot, it does look great for casual wear. I am a thin guy who wears slim fit jeans and these easily fit under the legs of my jeans without an unsightly bulge. These boots are relative comfortable. The insoles feel like stiffer memory foam which provides a nice cushion while walking. That being said there is little to no arch support in these boots, so folks with high arches should be wary.

Very disappointed. I'm wearing size 7 Florsheim zipped boot, but this size 7 was tiny. Quality sub-par for over a lot. This boot looked and felt like a cheap PayLess product. Upper was very thin leather and lining, pigskin. Looks a whole lot better in the picture than on your foot. If you can get it on that is!
