Got these for my husband and he absolutely loved them, they are such a great looking boot. Can't go wrong! According to him, they are comfortable as well, aside from that they are truly a well made boot with great attention to detail.

Awesome boot. I got the taupe which is lighter and more on the grey side than the picture. I initially got the 10 because I read the reviews said they run a half size to small. This was not the case. I need a 10 1/2 D and that is exactly what these are. If you are wider than a D, look at the next size up. If you have never been fitted for boots by someone that knows what they are doing, you are missing out. Running shoes, hikers, etc can run bigger because your toes may need more space and the laces can tighten to fit. Zappos was as always great about the exchange.

It took me 4 pairs of Frye boots to settle on this one here, in a size 10, which is a full size smaller than I usually wear (I always wear Naots in a 44EU or 11US shoes). Excellent customer service to return and exchange each one, I was impressed with Zappos; a bit frustrating, but in the end I'm glad I went through it. I first tried the Frye Fulton Cuff boots in a 11.5, and the Jackson Inside Zip in sizes 11, 10.5, and 10, the 10.5 having defects (buckle lining coming undone, poor closure on top sole seam due to craftsmanship), but it didn't feel a correct fit anyways. I had never worn Frye boots before, always wearing Naot shoes and Doc Martens. The 10 fits snug in the heel and is the perfect narrowness for my foot; Have minimal heal slippage, and about 1/2" toe room to wiggle the toes. The buckle gives good instep support. If you like your boots snug and not with too much swimming in them, they run very narrow and a half to a full size large, so keep that in mind. Leather in Antique taupe is beautiful and elegant, with each pair coming with its own tones and imperfections. Waterproofed them with the Frye Weatherproofing Spray, and now feels good-curious to see how well the spray works; it did darken the boots drastically, but they still look fine. Let's see how long it takes to wear them in a bit.

My first pair of boots and I'm glad my wife chose Frye boots. They are of great quality and style. You can wear these boots with any type of apparel, work, dress, or casual. Thank you Zappos for your great service.

I got these as a gift for my husband. He has been wearing them for a few weeks, and still breaking them in. Overall, he is happy with them and says they are very comfortable for walking and standing for long periods of time. They are also really good looking and high quality, as per usual with Frye. However, he has some issues with the fit. They are narrow in the toe box, and they are still slipping in the heel a bit. They have even given him a couple of small blisters. He did not want to go down half a size because they would be even narrower in the toe box. But he did not want to go up in size because of the slipping in the heel.

First pair lasted 15 months or so before the heel split and the toe leaked water. Zappos replaced them and in under one year I am seeing the same damage. I have had Frye boots that lasted 15 years through hard use - these are worn to a casual office environment. Since Frye sold out, their products are nowhere near their once great quality.

This is not a bad pair of boots but the leather is different than the photos and video. The leather is distressed and cracked. The photos show the boots to be slightly polished. I am returning these thanks to Zappos' awesome customer service.

Well, I am sorry to say that these boots did not work out for me. They look great, but they have an unusual cut to them that just didn't fit my foot. I got the 10.5 at first and sent them back for 10's. I have a medium foot and have never had any problem with boots and how they fit. The ball was very tight and even the 10's had a great deal of heel slip. I tightened the straps down as much as I could and still the heel continued to slip abnormally so. The ball leather did not loosen up after about a week of wearing them, so unfortunately I had to bail on them and send them back. First pair of Frye's and probably my last if this is typical for the fit. They were built well and made of quality materials, but they just were not comfortable. Maybe I just got the oddball pair. Too bad. I was looking forward to having these for many years.

This is a very well made boot. The construction and materials are top notch as one might expect in this price range. The style, though similar to an engineer boot, but slimmer through the ankle and leg and much lighter in weight. Though not a job site boot, it does look great for casual wear. I am a thin guy who wears slim fit jeans and these easily fit under the legs of my jeans without an unsightly bulge. These boots are relative comfortable. The insoles feel like stiffer memory foam which provides a nice cushion while walking. That being said there is little to no arch support in these boots, so folks with high arches should be wary.

Very disappointed. I'm wearing size 7 Florsheim zipped boot, but this size 7 was tiny. Quality sub-par for over a lot. This boot looked and felt like a cheap PayLess product. Upper was very thin leather and lining, pigskin. Looks a whole lot better in the picture than on your foot. If you can get it on that is!
