These are so stylish but they are too tight for my athletic calves. If I wear them with socks or tights only, I can pull them off no problem. Forget jeans!

First these are lovely, and if you have the money to replace these every couple of years, skip my review. But if you are like me and saved up to splurge once and have a pair of boots that would last awhile, keep reading... I expected these to last longer. My pair began letting water in just short of two years after I purchased them. At first I couldn't figure out where, but when I look at the bottom of the boot and flex it, there are large cracks which slowly let water in. In conclusion, despite their loveliness, the boots are not worth the expense as they fail to perform their main function, keeping water out!

I bought these boots to wear in the rain and snow in New York City. I wore them for a little over a year, when they started to leak. Boots at this price, that are supposed to be the best, and they cracked at the ball of the foot, and were irreparable. I know at least five other people that this also happened to after owning their Hunter boots for a little over a year. I will never purchase them again.

I have had my boots for just over a year. After about 6 months of owning them the insole of the boots where my heel is began ripping. Just recently, I have found a hole on the bottom of the boot, as well as a tear by the toe of my other boot (where my toes bend when I walk). For the price I paid I expected them to last much longer than a year. I am not happy with the quality of the boot for the price you pay.

I love the way that these look on other people. Sadly, on my size 10 feet, they just look too utilitarian. Even with skinny jeans, they look floppy like I should be digging in the mud. On more petite feet they look cute. They are quite comfortable, however.

I was actually very disappointed with these boots. A few times after wearing them, the gloss completely faded away and now they are matte with white splotches all over. Plus my feet are freezing unless I wear super thick socks. Not thrilled based on the price.

Going back. Too big in the foot and too tight in the leg, unable to wear my wellie socks. Love the color and wish they offer this color in the Huntress style. Oh well, I had to try.

Well, I jumped on these as the red is rarely in stock at size 8. color is great. The fit is bizarrely atrocious. I had read other reviews stating these super cute boots are super tight in the calves and strangely baggy at the ankle. Still, I wanted the red. So I am very disappointed to say, that these super cute boots in a great and wonderful color are super tight at the calves and strangely baggy at the ankle. I have never before met a pair of boots that did not fit in the calf. None have been baggy in the ankle either. I am going to go out on a limb here it is like British pub food. Ever order a BLT in a London pub? Do not, unless you are a fan of a big hunk of bone in the Bacon portion of the sandwich. Which is to say, some British things do not make much sense. These boots should be fabulous. But they are not. They are weird. A terrible shame. Much as I felt in that London pub.

These run big, so order a size down. I'm an 8.5 so I ordered the 8 Loved the color, but had some issues. I'm not fat by any means and I have runners legs--so my calves are not gigantic. But I had such trouble with these boots. Fit fine in the foot bed and around the ankle, slipped them on no problem. They were so tight at the top they dug into my knee when I walked and I couldn't tuck in my pants. I couldn't get them off either--it took a good couple of minutes and a lot of tugging before they finally came off. I was sweating by the time I got them off--no fun! Unless you have pencils for legs, these are not for you. I returned them for a bigger size, which was better around the leg but like a boat on my foot. Sent them back for the Huntress. Fits great, with room for the Wellie sock. I can also tuck in my pants!

Wonderful boot until my left boot began to dull and look completely different from the other. Now the buckle has broken off. These are rain boots and it's not like I am wearing them every day. Loved them at first; now, dissatisfied.

So, I measured my calves before ordering these boots. I have big calves but not that gigantic. Still I always check before ordering a boot off the web. When these arrived I tried them on immediately and found they cut into my legs they were so tight. Yeah right, 'Wear them over skinny jeans.' So I double checked measurements. My legs? Still the same. The boots? Over half an inch less in circumference than stated. On top of which the snugness in the top of the boot greatly contrasts with the looseness in the ankle area which made them seem like they'd be uncomfortable (and silly looking) even if the circumference of the boot were a wee larger. Lastly, there is some weird statement on the tag that these are fashion boots and not guaranteed to last more than a year under normal wear and tear. So much for these boots lasting you for a long time, Zappos. I'm so sad these are a fail. Thank goodness for free shipping both ways, and for other red wellie options.

Probably not meant for shorter gals! I really wanted to love these boots, they look great on other girls. I was hoping the higher boot would help elongate my legs but instead (as my husband so gently put it) I looked like a little kid playing in my mom's boots. The foot bed seemed about a half size larger than a 6 and the high shaft wouldn't allow me to bend my knees...or even walk correctly. I'm a size 6 and that's what I ordered, a size smaller may have worked but where the ankle fit putting them on and off was tight and with heavy socks the 6 should have been the right fit. So, shorter girls (or shorter legged ladies) beware. It is with regret but I must give these a thumbs down with disappointment!

I do like the style of these boots. I do not consider myself too short I am 5'4 and am physically fit I exercise 5 times a week. After walking on these for 1 block I am very tired; for one the boots are a bit tall and are heavy and I do not wear them with the Hunter special thick and maybe heavy sock. These boots are heavy, maybe are insulated with steel. I am thinking of taking these to a boot specialist and have him shorten these by 3". Unfortunately I do not walk with a smile on these, but am hanging on to these because no water goes in and this is what I look for before looks. Should consider weight next time. But I can wait for winter to be over to put them away. I did not realize these came in gloss/matte. Mine are gloss. I thought gloss was the only option and I feel like a kid. Zappos should emphasize a bit more on gloss/matte option. I hope Hunter makes these ankle high or shorter than what they have as in my state these fireman tall boots are not necessary. I hope Zappos also includes weight of shoe/boot. And if it did include weigh I missed it. Can't write anymore; am tired after wearing these boots.

Fit and comfort were perfect. Everything else was disappointing! The high black glossy boots arrived scuffed to the point where the majority of the gloss was matt and ruined... There was also some grit on the sole as if they'd been worn. I could get over the grit but not the matt, scuffed appearance. Returned to Zappos pronto.

Stylish, but ultimately flawed rain boots. On my second (third?) pair, and they have the same issue as the prior pair(s) - they crack. Small cracks that first appear on the top of the foot, and grow larger. Even when small these cracks mean that stepping in a puddle will get your foot soaked. For $150 rain boots, I am exceedingly disappointed. They also rubbed huge holes in the heel of the tall Hunter socks I specifically purchased to wear with them. Just shoddy manufacturing - you can feel the bits that will rub inside the boots.

I own a pair of Hunters already and when I received these the cardboard boot shapers that go in the boot we’re missing. The boots were flat and when you put them on they had this v shape in the leg. I was disappointed and sent them back.

Boots came in damaged shoebox. Also the boots had a white haze all over the, which dulled the shine.

This is the SECOND GLOSSY BLACK PAIR THAT THEY HAVE SHIPPED ME THAT ARE ALL GRAY AND BLOTCHY!!! RETURNING AGAIN!!!

I received these boots yesterday and was so excited until I took them out of the box and saw that the entire rear by the heel of both boots was badly damagaged and scoffed so that the rubber was removed and those parts were not glossy. It appears that I have been sent used boots which is so disappointing as the fit, color and look was perfect. I own two other pairs of Hunters that I bought personally in stores and neither look scoffed like this pair. I am not sure whose fault the badly damaged shoes is - Zappos or Hunters but I am feeling Zappos since they packed and shipped me a product that should not have been mailed out.

I was so excited to get these on sale, but when they arrived they were nearly completely white from a powdery white film. I thought well I guess this is why they were on sale, so I googled how to clean them, by doing so I learned this powder is called "blooming" so I took a dry dish towel and attempted to softly remove the stuff, I let them set for a day and it seemed like some had come back. So I want to exchange them for some without "blooming" they were still so expensive, I don't feel like I shouldn't have clean new shoes.
