I love these boots! I am a true size 9 and bought these in an 8 based on others reviews. They fit perfect! Also, true to other reviews I have read the shaft of the boot is both tall and narrow. Lucky I have narrow calves and at 5'9" the length was perfect. Just enough room to tuck in leggings or skinny jeans. The gloss was just right. A bit shinier than the regular black, but not patent leather looking. These are now my favorite boot, and I look for an excuse to wear them.

I am very happy with these boots, and I agree with most of what everyone has written about the fit. I followed the advice to order a size down and it was correct. I normally wear a 6.5-7 and the 6 fits perfectly with plenty of room for thick socks. Skinny jeans fit in easily and comfortably. I am almost 5'4" and weigh just shy of 110 lbs. I don't think of my calves as skinny, because they are muscular and shapely, but I am small in general. I did not try the Wellie Socks because everyone complained about the seam being uncomfortable, so I don't know if skinny jeans and wellie socks can both fit, but you definitely need a second pair of socks, because there is a lot of room in the toe. I love how these boots look too. The height is great and the black gloss looks sharp...who would have thought rainboots could look so stylish! They look even nicer than I was expecting. I could do without the Hunter label right in the front, but people who like to show off brand names would probably really like that. The footbed is comfortable. I normally prefer a higher arch, but there is a lot of support that comes from the heal which really compensates for not having as much of an arch. I like the Nylon lining. They slip on an off very easily. I haven't gotten to really wear them out yet...waiting for a slushy day.

5 stars for the boot and 10 stars for customer service! I love Zappos. My husband had purchased the green original boots for me from another site. When I returned them, I took the opportunity to use Zappos instead to buy the black gloss original. I wear an 8 1/2 and bought the 8. Fits perfect and I love the fleece charcoal socks I bought to go inside. They are super comfortable. I ordered (after much advice from customer service online on color) on Wednesday night and they were here by noon on Friday! Just in time for the snow we had overnight. I am beyond thrilled with the boots and the service. The customer service reps are like personal shoppers with very good advice!

We bought the Hunter boots for our daughter, who lives in chicago. She loves the boots as they keep her feet nice and dry in the slush.

These boots are exactly what they promise to be. They are classic. I love the funky colors, which make them less serious. I'm a straight 8.5, and usually wear a Eu 39. But I returned these for a 40-41, which is supposed to fit a US size 9 because my toes were touching the front sides of the smaller size, and they were snug to get on and off. The bigger ones are a bit sloppy fitting, but I put an insert with arch support in them and they're fine now. They're rain boots, after-all. In my opinion the sock inserts that Wellington makes are a rip-off. They're expensive and made of fleece (even the knitted ones have fleece lowers). If it's not wool, it gets stinky, and you'll have to wash them like socks anyway. I spent a little less on two beautiful pairs of cashmere knee high socks to wear in my boots, and I am very happy. One more thing, the boots claim that a natural white oxidation will occur over time because of the natural rubber they are made from. I like that they're made from a renewable resource, rather than petroleum, but it will be a bummer when they lose their shine.

Not only are these boots incredibly comfortable, I gets compliments from strangers whenever I wear them and I wear them a lot more often than I originally thought I would. I'd also like to commend Zappos for their great customer service. I ordered these boots at midnight one night and they were on my front porch by lunch time the next day! Talk about nearly instant gratification!

I live in a rual area in Long Island and there are on stores that carry the Hunter Original Gloss boots that my daughter wanted for the Holidays. I ordered them on Zappos and received them in plenty of time. She was delighted. The boots are great and fit true to size. Thank you

I love these boots. They are made to fit loosely, although there is no compromise in foot stability or comfort. I found them to be true to size, and I have plenty of room to tuck skinny leg jeans into them very comfortably, even with the companion Hunter fleece boot liners. I spent the whole day in them at work, and they were a breeze to wear. The gloss and color are true to the picture, and I was able to match them perfectly to my Land's End raincoat. My only complaint is that, for the price, I feel a little ripped off that I had to pay extra money just to get the matching fleece boot liners; and to be truthful, they are just fleece liners (nothing special or magic in the material or design).

I love these boots. They are comfy and waterproof, which is perfect for this winter. And they look great with leggings or even tights and a short skirt. Be aware they run roomy, so order a size down if you are a half size. Also, the Hunter socks that go with them are great but run short, so if you want to be able to fold them over as they are intended, consider ordering a size up.

I bought this boot as a gift for my 28 year old daughter and she loved them! They fit great (she's a 9 1/2 and I bought the 9's based on other reviews and she had a thumb width of room in the toe). Color is awesome.

I live in NY and we just had our first major snow storm for the season and these boots saved me. They kept my feet warm and dry while shoveling and walking to the store. The soles of these boots kept me from slipping and sliding. I am so glad I ordered these boots when I did; they are a must have if you live in an area that gets a lot of snow. (Sizing wise I normally wear an 8 or 8.5 but I ordered a 9 to allow room for the liners or thick socks.)

I bought a pair for each of my teenage daughters for Christmas. They loved the look of these winter boots and wore them for hours, even walking through high drifts of snow. They looked great and their feet were bone dry!

These boots are awesome! They've very comfortable and not loose and sloppy around the ankles like many boots can be. I added Uggs insoles so they're warm and toasty. I wear 8 1/2 and ordered a 9 and they're perfect.

I absolutely love these boots. I was skeptical about wearing them in the winter and snow, but with a pair of wool socks they keep my feet warm and dry. Easy to walk in and comfortable, they look really great!

These are well worth the money. They are definitely a staple in any woman's wardrobe...rain or snow these boots are great. I also have a yellow pair of the short ones. Love 'em, but you need to order a whole size smaller. I wear woman's 6; these are 3's.

Love these! Already had the Hunter short boot in Navy but wanted some tall ones as well. Was a little nervous the red would be an orange/red, but they are a true red and the perfect accessory to brighten up a rainy day!

Love this boot. It's a bit loose fitting through the foot, but a sock helps tremendously, and my toes have plenty of room to wiggle, which I find comfortable. Since it hits right underneath my knee, I can walk right through water puddles (makes me feel like a kid again) and not worry about getting wet. It's cute with leggings and even dresses and tights. I couldn't be more pleased.

Nice boots but a little too tall. I'm petite (5 foot even) and the top of the boots hit at my knees. As long as I wear them with jeans, they do not rub. I'm keeping the boots but if you're shorter than me, you may find the boot top is above your knee. Excellent and fast service from Zappos!

I bought red, and I am thinking of adding green or black. I commute in these and walk several miles per day on city streets; was worried they would be too heavy but they are perfectly comfortable. I added lambswool sole inserts to improve fit and warmth. The height is great--I stay dry to the knee.

I was pleasantly surprised with the comfort, quality and beauty of these boots. Perfect fit and extremely comfortable. I took a good walk to beach on moderate trail, good arch support. I purchased half size smaller than usual. No trouble with the boot height. I am 5 ft 5 in. tall. Beautiful boot, great color. I will wear them often. Easy to clean.

I was torn between the glossy hunter originals in orange or red. I finally settled on the orange and I love how bright and colorful they are, especially when I wear them in the rain. Every time I wear them I get compliments, especially from men. I don't know if it's the bright color or the fact that I wear them with a short skirt or with jeans tucked in, but I am always surprised that men notice and comment on them.
