Shoe Review - The shoe is wonderful. I have much better traction in the pool and I have not gotten a cramp since I started wearing them. The only negative thing I have to say is that they ran a little big. I did not send them back because they tighten enough to be okay. It would have been better if they ran a little truer to size.

Bought this shoe for a trip to Tahiti where sandals were recommended for the reef. No break in period was required and they were pretty comfortable right off the bat. The convertible heel thing is sort of a joke, I mean, it is the same as just stepping on the heel of any tennis shoe (maybe a little more comfortable, I guess). But, it was convenient! My only complaint is that sand and small rocks get into the shoe when it is being used underwater and they have a hard time getting out. Also, I needed new sneakers and shoes for underwater so I thought this would be a good choice. The first time it rained here I went to grab them and realized they weren't going to keep my feet all that warm and dry... but they are pretty versatile the rest of the time.

Very comfortable/versatile shoe - Feels about a 1/2 size bigger than stated size. Took a few days to get used to the backing, but now I love them. I wear them at work, 12hrs a day, very comfortable, feet never hurt.

Pretty good shoe - This shoe is a very good all-around shoe for working out. It keeps your feet very cool which is nice for me because Florida is ridiculously hot. It does not have a whole lot of ankle support so if you are looking for that you might want to get something else.

Great Shoe! These are great all around shoes, but I do have trouble with the tongue rubbing the front of my leg, I hope once they are broken in I will not have that problem. Alot cooler than regular running shoes for the summer. I usually wear a 9.5 in running shoes and that is what fit me in these.

Very comfortable shoe; however I'm not too crazy about having to cram the slide & lace "tube" into that tiny pocket on the tongue. Is there something else to do with the laces? This bugged me the first few times I wore the shoes. Great for island vacations.

not so versatile - This shoe is very cute, but it's not quite as versatile as I was hoping. I'll try it out running on the beach, but on solid surfaces the support is not very good. As far as the back part folding down to become a slip-on...I could not figure it out. It is very breathable and a great all-around hanging around shoe that can get wet and dry quickly.

Runs Big!!! I usually wear a 6 in pretty much any shoe I buy. I just ordered this shoe in a 5.5 and 6 after reading some reviews that said the shoe runs large. After trying both sizes, the 5.5 was still a half size too big! Really cute shoe! Very bummed; will be sending back both pair since the smallest size offered is a 5.5.

Looks great but... This shoe looks great but it has a couple of problems. The heel straps don't stay tight. I keep having to stop walking and kick my heel up to pull the strap tight again and again. Also the front outside stitching digs into my little toe, it hurts a lot after awhile, and it's only on the right shoe that this happens. I can say that Zappos sets the standard for online ordering. I ordered this shoe on Sunday I got them on Tuesday, they where the wrong size. They sent the next size up and I had them the next day!! I had two weeks to return the other pair. I LOVE ZAPPOS!!!

NOT non-skid, but feel good on - Found out the hard way by slipping on deck of a 34-foot yacht that the outsole - as tough looking as it is - is not non-skid. So don't buy for sailing. Otherwise, they are fine.

Are you sure these are amphibious? I wore these canoeing this past Saturday. They were great during the trip, but now it's Monday and they're still not dry. Also-- these drain water v. well, but not dirt or rocks.

Salomon Techamphibian - I ordered this shoe because it had good reviews. The best thing I can say about it is that the color is nice and it is lightweight. Otherwise it is not comfortable on me and has no arch support. I am returning it.

Odd shoes - This is one pair of Salomon's that seems almost sized like other shoes--it only seemed a half size larger than marked and not a full size or more. But the inside is not smooth and comfortable for a water shoe and the pull string closure is just too weird--what are you supposed to do with the pulley and string? The back strap seemed prone to coming loose often, as it had no secure closure.

Some Issues - Most people love this shoe. It is not my favorite. I was looking for a shoe I could wear without socks, these seemed made just for that. Maybe my feet are too sensitive, but I found them very scratchy without socks. I also purchased them because you can tighten the back strap, but the strap loosens very quickly, so that didn't work out. The sole look like they would have a good grip on wet floors, but they don't. I have other Salomon shoes, and I love them. These were not right for me. Zappos is fantastic, and would have taken them back, but I wore them to the beach.

Lacking Functionality - The tightening devices for both the top of the shoe and the heel does not work. I was so excited after I first put these shoes on because I was able to get a perfect fit and they were major comfortable. Then I proceeded to walk about five steps and that was all it took to find out how well these shoes would work. The heel loosened up so much that the rest of my foot sloshed from side to side within the shoe and I almost fell down. The shoe was tight enough to not fall off my foot, but so loose that I tripped on the shoe itself-I did not trip on my other foot or on something hiding on the floor-but the friggin' shoe itself!!! I was highly disappointed.

Comfortable shoe - Very comfortable shoe. I was not expecting it to have such a good cushion. It feels like wearing a running shoe, although it does slip a bit in the back. I using it for walking every day and I love slipping it on and not having to tie the laces.

Great looking shoe but the lacing system just didn't work. It was an uncomfortable fit and needs to be returned. The front was tight but the back was loose.

These shoes were purchased for everyday wear in a research oyster hatchery. Everyone in the hatchery has gone thru a number of different styles and brands, searching for the ideal shoe to wear in a wet work environment. The shoes are comfortable, but after only a few wears, have acquired a nasty smell. This has occurred with more than one person at the hatchery, and no, they do not just have smelly feet. The "anti-microbial" treatment is completely ineffective. The smell cannot be removed with washing, and they reek so bad that they need to be left outdoors. I sent a letter to Salomon's customer service, but never received a reply. I would not recommend these shoes to anyone looking for a wet working environment option, unless you work alone, and lack a sense of smell.
