These are the most amazing shoes I have ever worn! I am 53 and about 5 years ago the padding on the soles of my feet began to get thinner. When I would go on walking vacations during hot summer months, I began to get blisters for the first time (prior to this, I could walk for miles with no problems at all). I tried every shoe out there - Mephistos, Eccos, Clarks, Pumas, etc. -but nothing worked when walking in Europe on hot days, especially over cobblestone streets. I was the band-aid queen, and by the end of trips my feet would be covered with them. A few months ago, to prepare for a 4 week European trip to England, Scotland, Ireland, Germany, and Poland, I ordered a gazillion shoes from Zappos and finally settled on these based on the positive reviews, hoping they would do the trick. I am happy to report that I have just returned from my trip and did not get a single blister or have any discomfort! These shoes were absolutely fantastic! They felt like cushy pillows and comformed to the shape of my feet. I actually looked forward to wearing them every day. I didn't even break them in - just wore them right out of the box! One VERY important recommendation that someone gave me and I am glad I followed - buy smartwool brand peds and put them around the inserts that are inside the shoes. That is, take out the insert that is in each shoe and put each ped around the insert (as if it were a foot) so that the bottom of the ped (the part that would be on the bottom of your foot if you wore the ped) is on the top of the insert so that your foot sits on it when you wear the shoe. This way, if your foot sweats, the smart wool ped will wick away the moisture. Also, the nice smart wool ped provides a cozy and soft base for your foot. As for size, I am usually a size 6.5 and one of my feet is a bit bigger than the other - I took a size 36 in this shoe and it was perfect.

Love look and feel. Ordered two more in same style but different colors. Have bunions, wide feet with narrow heel and high arch and must wear orthotics. Very comfortable for long periods. Strap is long enough for a high arch and feels secure and comfortable. Cute too!

I love them! I bought these shoes 6 weeks ago. I've been looking for a good pair of stylish walking shoes for quite some time. I have never paid over a certain amount for a pair of shoes, but after reading the reviews, I decided to try them. They are worth every penny. It took one good day of walking around in these shoes for them to conform to my footbed, and ever since I have been walking on a cloud. I frequently go into the city (SF) for work and I do a LOT of walking from BART to the office. Our company has 2 offices in SF, several blocks apart, so I frequently walk between the offices several times a day. These shoes are so comfortable and my feet do not get tired, I have never had a single blister, and I'm always glad I wore them. I don't consider this purchase a splurge, but an investment. I highly recommend them.

What a great shoe! have ordered 2 pairs within a week. Have plantar fasciitis and foot doctor recommended this brand. This style is so cute and not orthopedic looking. First ordered the black, wore to work for one day and almost had no heel pain, the shoe molds to your foot like a glove! Is more comfortable the more you wear the shoes, the 2nd pair came this afternoon (only took less than 12 hours to get the shoe) put the shoe on and thought it didn't fit like the first pair, wore around the house and can feel it molding to your foot! Can't believe I have had to spend this much on shoes, but am getting rid of all my other shoes that don't fit, better to have a couple of shoes that are good for your feet, than 10 pairs that cause pain. These are very cute and not ugly and old lady looking, no offense to old ladies as I am one. Please note, run one size smaller than marked -- if you are an 8, order a 7.

I have "problem feet". Very narrow heel, high arch, and wide toes with a bunion! Sounds awful, right? Well, this shoe is comfortable and looks wonderful for everyday. It isn't really sturdy enough for tough jobs like hiking but I have worn it all day and gone to my errands and then on to activities of my grandchildren in the evening with no problems and with style.

These shoes were so great, for almost a year. The soles still look almost as if I had never worn them! The soles are good for at least another two years! BUT THE STRAPS!!!! The straps, quite literally, are falling apart, and I can no longer wear these shoes. They won't stay on my feet! the patent leather on the straps cracked and fell off~! The layers started de-laminating. There seems to be at least two more year's worth of wear on the soles, and the shoes are still comfortable for toes and arches. But the design and workmanship on the straps is so poor, I've got to replace them. And after spending $200 on them - I am REALLY disappointed. (Or, pissed off, is more like it!) So, for that, I cannot recommend them. You get your money's worth - for a few months.

I have traveled over 3,000,000 air miles internationally and I can slip these on and off at security, be comfortable on my flight and then put on my other heeled Naots when I arrive overseas for a formal meeting. Naot -- any style -- and Zappos are the best! What would I do without you?!

Needed something comfortable to wear traveling that didn't look like an athletic shoe. Read all the reviews and decided to bite the bullet (so expensive). They are comfortable, but I don't think there is a shoe made I can stand in all day. One reason they are so expensive is that they are not made in China, and for that I'm willing to pay more. Comfortable, cute, dressy if you want them to be. I would recommend if you can afford them. If you have bad feet, expense is probably not an issue anyway! If you don't have bad feet,there are a lot of options out there that are not quite so expensive. I originally ordered the 8 (I wear and 8.5) but had to send back for the 9 which fits great with a pair of socks.

I never write reviews online for products. These shoes have moved me to do so. They are fabulous. I walked around Europe for 2 weeks with them, with nary a problem. They're light, fit perfectly right out of the box, and look good with skirts and pants. I'm ordering them in another color. Buy these shoes. You will not regret it.

Very clunky. Did not like style. Ran big, especially in the heel.

I bought the Naot Kirei in black suede, I think as long ago as 2015 or 2016 and I just walked 10 miles (according to my iphone app) in those old ones on the pavement of Manhattan a few weeks ago - and my feet and knees were perfectly fine. These are just amazing shoes. I even slipped into the edge of river in them when I first got them and they dried out and looked as good as new. So I only bought these new ones because my feet are kind of getting larger as I get older (I'm 63) and because they just look a little better. But the old ones were not wearing out and I feel a bit guilty for laying them aside. But I also wanted to be sure Naot did not discontinue this style because all their styles do not work on me. I need the toe box that is shaped like this one to accommodate a long second to and a ski jump big toe! Nothing more narrow. Anyway, they are fantastic shoes, elegant and sturdy, and more than worth the price. I attached a photo to show that aside from the the inside and the size, the old ones still look pretty great.

This is my second pair of Kireis -- and I love them (and now have them in brown & black!). Comfortable right out of the box. I have a narrow heel and average toe width, and these don't slide around in the heel area like so many other Mary Jane style shoes I've tried -- and the toe box is still nice and comfy. They are suitable for almost any outfit, and I am excited to have them for my upcoming trip to England, where I plan on walking a LOT. My only "wish" is that the inside of the shoe and the underside of the top strap were black -- the light grey shows a bit and it distracting to me (and lessens my desire to wear them with certain business outfits, frankly, where I want a COMPLETELY black shoe - but it's not a deal breaker for me).

I love this shoe and it is flattering on; however, sizing down one size as Naot suggests did not work for me. I usually wear a 9 1/2 M but the nine was just too short on one foot. I instead got another pair of Matai in a 9 which I can wear very comfortably. Perfect and so very cushy!

Oh, my freakin' Lord, I love this shoe! It was like a cozy nest for my feet from the very first time I put them on. Great support, but still very light-weight and flexible...plus they're really cute on. I'm on my feet all day and have arthritis, so a comfortable, well-made shoe is critical for me. I want these in every color and never want to be without them!

I got thee shoes in the peacock/purple combo. I just love them. I wear them with tights, skinny jeans, and long sweaters. The sparkle adds a little fun. They are so comfortable. The toe box is a little small, but this does give a smaller profile and a more feminine look than some similar Naots.

These are nice looking, comfy and true to size. They can be worn easily with jeans or dressier pants. I would suggest your normal size. The black is really attractive.

I bought these shoes two weeks ago and have worn them every weekday since. I take the bus to work and want comfortable shoes that look decent with a suit. These are perfect! They are so comfortable from the first time that I put them on. I liked them so much, that I ordered another pair in the brown/tan shade - they arrived yesterday and are just as comfortable, and also way cuter in color than the picture shows. I am a size 7½ and got size 38.

These shoes fit amazing right out of the box. Even wearing them around shopping all day there is plenty of room in the toe box and no blisters!! The only thing with the volcanic leather pair, is that they way more distressed on the toe of the shoe, than what shows in the picture on Zappos. The comfort meant more to me, so I kept them. They truly are amazing shoes. They look good with skinny jeans or boot cut.

I love these shoes. I now have four pairs: navy, black, silver, and brown. They are beautiful enough to wear with nice clothing, yet comfortable enough to make me think I am wearing my running shoes. I no longer wear any other "nice" shoes in my closet.

Beautiful shoes! Kirei has Naot's great fit and good arch support (also great metatarsal support). These are comfy and cute at the same time. The three leather look - patent, suede and leather - dresses up this shoe so it is more versatile than just a jeans shoe. I have a narrow heel and the heel on the Kirei does not slip. The strap is a good width and placement gives a secure fit. Unlike some Naot Mary Jane styles, I don't have a lot of gapping when I walk. I plan to use this shoe for travel. It is lightweight and won't take up much room in the luggage.

This is my second purchase of Naot Kireis (color vintage/gray/pewter. I knew they would be comfortable right out of the box and they are. I was surprised when I opened the box and looked at the leather, though. At first, it looked as though they were scuffed and for a moment I thought they'd already been worn. But, looking closer I saw that the leather has been deliberately made to look that way. The color varies from lighter to dark. After a while, I got used to this look and decided to keep them. From a distance, they do look a bit worn and I wonder what they will look like when they actually have been worn a bit. However, I still think they are cute and SO comfortable.

I have 4 pairs of this style and am totally disappointed in this shoe. Ordered the first pair and the fit on the side strap was wrong and stuck out. I reordered and got a pair of shoes so poorly dyed they looked like they were years old. Both shoes were also tighter than my other shoes. What is going on Naot? I love these shoes, my old ones that are fantastic. Please do not change your quality. Sending these back and hope for better results with another color.

These shoes are AMAZING! I was prepared to return them if they werent perfect because they are a bit pricey, but they look and feel fabulous. I have one foot that fits size 11, the other is a size 11.5-12. These shoes were great on both feet, netting out at what felt like a perfect 11.5. i have high arches, the arch support is great. The Red is beautiful.

See my review name above? Yeah, that’s how much I don’t like shoes. I’m super-picky because I have finicky flipper feet. They are wider at the front (just on the edge between regular and wide), narrower at the back, I have low arches, higher top bones, and if my shoes don’t have just the right heel, my Achilles’ tendons start hurting. Now, with all that in mind, this is one of my favorite pairs of shoes. I ordered a wide because I knew Naots tend to run narrower, and these are perfect. They look nice enough to wear at work or with a smart casual outfit, and they feel good enough all day that I forget I’m wearing them. The insole that came with them was already pretty good, but I love the fact I was able to remove the standard footbed and replace it with my custom Superfeet insoles. Bottom line, the shoes have made me a Naot fan. I’m just sad that there aren’t more options for my big feet.
