I personally have figured out that if you have any flaws or extra weight boy shorts make the flaws more apparent and this short is no different. I ordered a large, normally I would wear a 9\/10 in regular short. I sent this back.

These swim shorts are perfect. Very comfy, and fit well. The elastic waistband is nice and wide, so there isn't any hangover even though I have a lot of high hip (unlike the model shown!) :) Also not too loose that they didn't stay on great while in the pool. Based on the reviews, i ordered the large, which was the perfect size. I am about 5'7'' and 135 lbs, with a lot of roundness in my hips, which these shorts complement very nicely! :)

My daughter plays in a san volleyball league. I bought these for her to pactice and compete in. They were such a big hit, I bought a pair for her parther as well. You do need to wearsone type of undie, as the sand creeps in, if you are doing sand sports. If it's just for swimimng, no issue. She's a size 5, we bought a small, perfect fit.

Loved the style and material. Runs small in the waist. The band is pretty tight causing a little muffin top on me. I normally wear a 10 and the XL was too small.

Super comfortable and flattering swim bottoms. They're a little boring in black. I wish I'd gotten red or another fun color, but they fit well and are flattering even for those of us with a bit of a tummy. I'm a size 10, sometimes an 8, and got a large based on other reviewers. I've been working out a lot and I think they'll be too big when they get wet pretty soon. They do seem to get a little bit droopy when wet.

These were cute, but they kinda ended up making my shape weird looking. I'm on the curvier side, but these made me look more square. Also, I would order these one size up from what you normally where if you don't want camel toe.

The problem here is this is a low, really low riding pant. How the heck is that supposed to stay on? Hips are made to hold things up and if the item's waist is lower than your hip bone, it doesn't fit well and won't stay up. I am so sick of low riding merchandise! Have to return. It is very cheeky in the rear, too.

I have thick thighs and a torso that is as long as my legs. This cut does not look good on my body. I prefer a regular bikini bottom.

I was looking for a pair of swim shorts and oh man, these are NOT it. There is a seam that runs down the middle of the shorts, and the crotch seems to be engineered to somehow divide and lift your lady parts uncomfortably while simultaneously highlighting them somewhat obscenely. I bought the black, I can only IMAGINE what these would have looked like in a lighter color. I returned them posthaste.

They look good, but are uncomfortable in the back and I wore them for only 1 week and now they have tiny black mold spots all over then. Yes, I did dry them out after every use.

These were super cute and super comfortable! Great when you aren't trying to show so much skin!

I love the Body Glove swimwear. I have purchased several of the pieces and have always been pleased. The quality of the material makes a very good fit and long lasting swimsuit.

Great bathing suit if you're looking for something with a bit more side/bottom/back coverage than a traditional bikini bottom. Sizing was fairly true, but opted for the M (usually I fall between S and M) since it just wore a little more comfortably. Note the tie in front is purely style, not function. I paired this bottom with the Rip Curl Love N Surf Cross Back Top and the fabric finishes are quite similar. Could also mix and match colors. Great new suit combo for summer!

These are absolutely adorable. I typically hate boy short style bottoms but had to buy some to wear this summer. These are actually flattering and very comfortable. I am 5' tall and 107 pounds and ordered a M. I think a S would have been too snug and not flattering at all.

This is a very sexy cut. It shows peekaboo booty, which is why I bought it. It is really great if you are comfortable showing off a little skin. I thought the sizes ran a little small, so I would order one size up.

Little too skimpy for my 42 y.o bod. I usually wear a small so got a medium and still didn't feel like it covered enough. Be in good shape if you want these!

I love these. The wide waist band is flattering, and the coverage is great, while still looking sporty instead of frumpy. They mix and match well with lots of tops.

These are really cute and comfy. I don't like really low-rise bottoms, so these give me the coverage I want without being too bulky like some board shorts. I also like that they have the drawstring so I can connect them the bottom of my rashguards.

Loved these shorties the second I opened the box! They fit great and the coral pinkish color flatters sun touched skin. Definitely recommend these although a little pricey! I ordered a sm am 5'6" and weigh 115 and the fit is perfect!

I would say the sizing on these leans more toward juniors than misses. I'm a size 4 and got a medium - they fit great. Not completely full coverage for the rear, but I'm "gifted" in that area so I wasn't surprised. Super comfy, nice lining, didn't ride up badly in the ocean. One thing to note: the drawstring is strictly decorative; it doesn't go all the way around the waist. Definitely a good investment.

It's exactly as described. Very cute. Wish it were a little longer for more coverage, but it's better than swim suits for cheek coverage, which was my goal.

Love the look and good quality. Did start to stretch a bit after 2 weeks of constant wear on vacation. Still happy with the purchase though!

I read some of the comments and people were suggesting going up one size. I am normally an XS but I ordered a SMALL and I probably would have fit better in an XS. When I wore the swim shorts in the pool on a float, I noticed when Iaying down the waist was a bit big and there was a gap between my stomach and the swim shorts. I figured I couldn't return them because I already wore them, so I purchased a long shoe lace similar to the one that the suit came with, but longer, and pushed it through the waist band area so that now I can tie it closed. It worked! I don't have to worry about my bottoms being too loose.

They were very comfortable; however, I had to return them. I'm 5'1" and 95 lbs and the small was too loose in the waistband. Normally, I wear a size 0 pants and can fill the butt portion out fine, but with these, you really need a butt to make the waistband fit properly. It showed just enough butt cheek to not be considered skimpy. It's not a full coverage swim short; they're cheeky.

Close but no cigar. I'm 5'4, 125 lbs with a generally athletic build. However, upper thighs are my "problem area," and the cut of these shorts highlighted that. Boy-shorts are winners for me because they make for a smoother transition from waist to thigh (the dreaded "double-but zone). However, the way these shorts are cut up a bit on the side basically ended up kind of "framing" my fat. Oh, there was also a problem with camel-toe. Ugh! I LOVED the bandeau top from Body Glove, but just couldn't get a good match for the bottom. Sigh.
