Because of a medical problem I have to wear 2 different size shoes. After explaining this to the salesman from Zappos he took the time to find me just the right shoe I needed. He was friendly and patient and made my purchase easy. I will always order from Zappos from now on.

Purchased these shoes for my 84 year old Mother. It\'s difficult to find shoes for her since she suffers from swelling in her ankles and feet. These shoes offer ample room and comfort without being sloppy on the foot. They work well with casual pants.

I Have worn these for a week and they work so far very well. I have two different size feet (polio) and severe broken metatarsals and arthritic problems that cannot be corrected by surgery. These shoes accommodate orthotics. They are very comfortable after several days and look just fine with pants for work. My 20 something daughter even said they are stylish. I am not sure about that, but they are definitely work appropriate. The monk strap should be longer but that is the only issue so far. Why do manufacturers of shoes intended for people using orthotics not make the hook and loop fasteners more user friendly? Zappos, you should make this known to your suppliers.

This is the only shoe my 92-year-old mother has worn for the past three years. Because of a hammertoe, it is difficult to find comfortable shoes--but this one fits the bill. I only wish you had more colors...please???

I bought these for my mother who has Parkinsons. She wanted shoes that she can put on without assistance. So far, they are the best pair I have found. They are sturdy and the tongue stays in place when she slides her foot in. The one velcro strap is perfect because she can use a dressing stick to lay it across the top onto the velcro. The shoes are light enough for everyday wear and she seems to be walking very well in them, much better than the slippers she ended up wearing most days, so I feel it is safer and better for her movement. She also wears an appliance on the top of her toes to keep them straight, so the front of the shoe is perfect, a roomy toe box and a flexible mesh fabric on top really has given her the best fit/room in front in any shoe she has owned. I wish there were more specific shoes made for such unique needs, but I searched and found this one! Next I need help with finding ways to have her put her socks on independently :(

I am not diabetic but started looking at diabetic shoes because I have considerable foot pain. These are wonderful for pain sensitivity on the tops of my feet and also for eliminating all pressure on my bunions. The tops are a soft fabric that conform to my foot but don't exert a lot of pressure. Yet the shoe fits well and is stable. I ordered my usual size and it's a bit large so I may need to exchange them. Right now I'm trying out various insoles to try to make them perfect.

Have had trouble finding shoes wide enough for me and that didn't weigh a ton. These are flexible, lightweight, adjustable, and easy to put on. They are breathable too. Love them. Recommend highly.

I ordered these shoes for my mom and she says it felt a half size larger than marked because they stretch in the front part of the shoe. Other than that, she is happy for the comfort of it. She wants to buy another pair of these shoes just a half a size smaller.

Great shoes. Bought for elderly aunt who has edema on one foot and leg. Her other shoes were getting tight and I was afraid she wouldn't be able to wear them much longer. These shoes fit great and there is a lot of growing room in case swelling gets worse. And she loves the look of them. And says they are real comfortable.

These shoes were wonderfully comfortable, but too loose around the top. If they were a bit tighter around the top I would certainly have kept them. My feet have very high arches, are very wide, and fairly short. Also have issues with my big toe's largest joint. These shoes ALMOST made the cut. Darn!

The person who helped me on the phone to return this item was personable and professional. The tongue on the right shoe cut into my leg making this shoe not ideal for me. I am a diabetic, and the style looked good. However, the shoe was not comfortable with the tongue being too long and rigid.

This shoe seems very heavy in weight as I have been recently wearing mostly Crocs. I thought the mesh-like top would be more comfortable and not yet used too them I guess, but the first day I wore them to work (walking lots) I had to change after several hours as I was getting a blister.

Really cute looking for a diabetic shoe. Comfortable with a nice stretchy front and easy to put on. Most people wouldn't know this wasn't just a normal walking shoe. It is at least moderately water resistant.

I love these shoes! They are really orthotic friendly. I usually have a hard time finding shoes that fit me, and these do! They are really flexible and fit my shoe size. I am a size 11 and my feet are really wide so this is really hard.

I bought these shoes for my 94 year old mom. Her legs and feet are swollen and she has not been able to wear shoes because of that. I took these to her at her assisted living facility and she immediately put them on (notice only one velcro leather strap) and she loves them. She said she has plenty of room for all her toes and they give her great support when she is walking with her walker. She actually rarely takes these shoes off because they are so comfortable. Thank you Propet and Zappos for carrying them.

I bought these for my elderly mother and she loves them. They are very comfortable in the toe area, too. I would size up. These are high quality shoes.

The shoe is designed for use with swollen feet, yet once my feet were swollen the opening for your foot to go into the shoe was not large enough, I could not get the shoe on my foot. When my foot was not swollen the shoe went on easily and had plenty of stretch in the front of the shoe, a little too much, I ordered a narrower width. Then I discovered I cam't use them when my foot is swollen, had to return both sizes. Also the sole is slippery, I was trying to push myself backward in a wheelchair and the soles were too slippery to grip the carpeting, I could not move backward.

These shoes are very comfortable for my mother, who struggles with swollen feet. I bought her her first pair of Propet shoes this summer, some sandals. She wore them all summer and said many times how much she loved them. Now that it is getting colder, I bought her these shoes. It is hard to see them in the photo. As far as the shape, they look a little like clogs--which is not entirely my Mom's style, but the shoes are super comfortable, and since the problems with her feet swelling that really means more to her than anything. And other people compliment her on them, so that's always nice for her. The upper mesh is kind of a rubbery material, not fabric. I thought it would be fabric, so I just wanted to note that for people. All in all, they are great shoes and she will probably wear them every day all winter like she did with the sandals this summer!

I purchased the shoes for a resident at a nursing home facility and she has enjoyed the comfort. She had the same kind of shoes previously but needed a more narrow shoe fit after her swelling went down and really enjoys the style and comfort of these shoes we have stuck with the same kind!

Bought these for my 87 year old mother who has hammer toes and bunions. She had been complaining about her sore toes. I bought these for her and she loves them - says they are very comfortable.

This isn't the prettiest shoe in the world, but it's comfy, classic, and easy on-off. The length felt just right, and the width in general too, but even with thick socks, the shoes didn't stay snugly on my heel, so I regretfully had to send them back.

I took out the original inserts and used my custom orthotic. The orthotic fit fine, which is great--the shoe is deep enough--but even without the orthotic in place my toe was hitting the front of the shoe. I usually buy SAS and 8M fit me perfectly, so that's what I had ordered for this shoe. I'm concerned if I go up to 8.5M it will be too wide and if I ask for 8.5 Narrow my orthotic won't fit. So, unfortunately, I am returning the shoes. I may buy the same brand because they seem very comfortable, but I will get them at a shoe store so I can be properly fit.

Low toe box rubbed against my big toe. Worse, the soles are extremely slippery. Hazardous for the elderly or anyone really. I walk all day on shiny tiled floors and these slip all over.

THE SOLES OF THE PROPET ADAPTIVE OLIVIA ARE SLIPPERY. THE SOLES HAVE NO TRACTION AT ALL.
