We LOVE Zappos for their excellent customer service and quality products over the years. Unfortunately the quality of the Ugg Ascot slipper was very disappointing. Ugh - within no time, the lining was matted and my husband commented "these slippers are only comfortable with socks." Although this was my husband's third pair of Ugg slippers over the years, it may be his last. Poor quality by Ugg.

These are too tight. I ordered a size up and my husband still could not get his feet into them. The top is too long. I will try a different style.

I guess I am the odd man out here since it seems everyone loves these slippers. The overall reviews, as well as Uggs reputation for comfy shoes, convinced me to buy these as a treat for my feet to wear around the house! Needless to say, I was very disappointed and returning them and here's why: - In pictures they look like they are made from soft, subtle outers, you know like a soft suede type slipper! They are not. They are very stiff and very firm. They are built like shoes, not slippers. Granted, they are very well made and seem as if they will last a long time, so if your looking for a "wear around the house" type 'shoe' this is for you. If you want a soft, suede/velvet type slipper, this is not it. - The ridge that runs around the top back of this slipper is a double fold of material that was so stiff that after 2 hours of wearing them they had rubbed blisters onto the area of the inside of my foot just under my ankle as well as on my heels. You may being asking why did I wear them if I didn't like them. I thought that maybe they would break in a bit and be "softer" which after a lot of wear they probably will, but getting blisters, from a slipper, was a major disappointment. - They are very narrow, run a size to a size and a half too small and are very tight on my feet, not loose and comfy like I would expect slippers to be. Having known how they size from reading other reviews, I bought a size bigger than what I normally would wear and they are still too tight. - They come with 2 tags sewn to the inside right by your ankle. They are annoying! Yes, you ultimately could cut them out but I just do not understand the thought process of 2 loose tags like that. Overall, I guess I was just expecting a very well built and extremely comfy slipper and what I got was a very well built, sturdy, tight fitting shoe. My advice to anyone thinking of purchasing these would be to find a local Ugg dealer in your area and check them out there first...then, come back here to Zappos and buy them if you like them!

It's absurd! My husband is a size 9 1/2. The size 10 was way too small. We exchanged these for a size 11. The right foot fit perfectly. The left foot was too big (my husband usually has no trouble fitting shoes). This is the fault of the manufacturer. Ugg Australia should be made in Australia, not outsourced to China. They're expensive, so the quality should be there. Disgraceful!
