great jeans, last forever

These are great "everyday" jeans. My husband says they are a little tight in the waist, but not too much so. He can wear these with no belt or with one. Good style, too!

I usually wear Levi's 527 low-rise boot-cut jeans and I LOVE the fit. I also wanted some khaki-colored jeans to wear to slightly dressy places so I ordered these. The fit is just different enough that they feel good but not great. Size is also a problem: as one of the other reviewers mentioned, I have a blue pair of 514's that are heavy denim and part stretch. That pair is 30L x 30W and fits a little too loose so I ordered the new pair of khaki 514's in 29W x 30L. Big mistake. I could barely get them on. 30W x 30L also didn't fit so I finally ended up 31W x 30L. This color is beautiful and the cotton is much thinner than most denim...excellent for the summer. And, btw, throughout this size ordeal, Zappo's was great!

Fit is somewhat strange, and quality is not a-plus. But for the price, they pass the test for a decent pair of everyday jeans.

The first pair a bought was perfect but this pair is noticeably green. Too green for me. Returned.

These were a nice color and style, but the fabric was very stiff and scratchy. The fit is also very slim and tight.

Bought these after finding a pair at the thrift shop that are starting to wear thin now. I am a female, 5'6", about 120 lbs. I got a 29/32. I love how these fit comfortably around my midsection. I don't like any stretch built into my jeans- as most are made with such lightweight denim it's hardly necessary. I got the 100% cotton. Just a classic pair of jeans. Only thinner material. I hope someone in Lesotho was paid a fair wage for making these.

Jeans are as my husband expected. There is just enough stretch to make them very comfortable. He is happy with them. I have given 4 stars just because I never give perfect scores.

Based on reviews I ordered a larger size, however these were too big so will have to return. Liked the stretch in the waistband.

Nice Jeans, not as dark as I had thought they would be. Also a little bit loose around the legs than I anticipated. Overall very nice, soft, and comfortable.

I usually wear a 34 waist in other brands. The 34 was too tight in the waist and thigh. I had to buy two sizes up(36) for them to fit comfortably. Overall it was a good buy and the 36 fit perfect.

My son says these pants are very comfortable. They do shrink some after washing.

Bought these for my son for Christmas and he really likes them He is 13 and almost 5'9" and slim aonthese work out great

Great jeans, true to fit. My only complaint is that the leg opening is more narrow than my last pair of 514s.

One of my favorite reliable jeans. No issues at the dry cleaners and they fit good as always.

Good pants fit well

Overall, these are a great pair of everyday pants that can even be dressed up a little. They fit well, but I must disclosed that I am slightly biased, having other pairs of this style of Levi's. The cut isn't form fitting, but they're also not baggy, pretty much somewhere in between. As far as durability, I'd say they're about average or slightly less than, which seems to be common with this material. The color selection is pretty nice, and the ones I got are close to a khaki, which is why I feel like they can be dressed up pretty easily. All in all, these are a good deal and one that I definitely recommend!

The model I received was the 514 Straight Fit Stretch. I tend to shift in weight between a size 40-42, and this worked well for me. Although, if I were someone else, I'd be remiss at the lack of distinguishing from one to another. The fabric seems to have the same feel as the non-Stretch and same breathability.

I like the look of these jeans. They are ever-so-slightly narrower in the waist than other 32" waist pants I've purchased. May want to consider going up a size.

These are great! I like wearing 'em, I pretty much wear these jeans every day. The only problem I have with them is that they burn holes on your crotch if you ride you bike a lot.

The fit is great and the color is nice. The fabric seems lower quality than some other Levi's I have purchased -- the fabric feels relatively thin and coarse, and must be ironed to remove wrinkles. However, the price is right.

This particular pair of 514 jeans have an unusually long rise. Otherwise they are pretty good. The material has a good weight.

We ordered a pair in the Black Dell and had no indication that they were "distressed" jeans. Really should be in the description. They are a nice fit but look like they should be thrown out with that many holes in them.
