I received a pair of these for Christmas. When I tried them on I found that they were very tight through the seat and thigh - impossible to carry a wallet in my pocket. They are also low rise and when I squatted or sat down they were uncomfortably low on my hips with my crack hanging out. I'm 6'5" and 285 lbs. these jeans were no good for me.

Ordered a pair of these pants using zappos for the first time. I ordered a light blue shade which Levi's calls "Albina". The jeans arrived in 2 business days, but they were not "Albina" ...They were Black....Seems they were out of the ones I ordered and just shipped these black jeans hoping they would stick.....I'm returning them as they were not what I ordered.

Not enough room in the seat, and front.

Zappos shipped pants with a torn belt loop. How they missed it meant that somebody in their distribution center was asleep at the wheel or intentionally shipped visually defective product.

Oy! There's no consistency in the sizing of these jeans whatsoever. A 33 waist in one color is not related size wise to a 33 waist in another. I'm sending them back.

How much further can they be reduced in quality and still be considered jeans? If the thread count is reduced any further we will have to refer to them as lingerie. Anyone who is paying attention knows what I am talking about. But hey, but lets be open minded. I have begun to refer to my Levis as Cheap onion skins, temporary, and quickly disposable. I have a pair I bought only five years ago. Held side buy side the five year old pair seems a much more substantial garment.

These 559's are no way the same 559's from a few years ago.These pants are way to slim in the leg and way to huge in the waist.... not sure who is making these Levis but they are not at all like the old ones. Sad!

Why - Lycra. These were my goto pants for years. Now (within the last year) they've added lycra, aka spandex. Immediately, you can see and feel a difference in the durability and overall fit. Adding spandex makes little sense in a loose fit pant, and the change makes sizing vague (go back to the store and find a good fit). Durability wise, scuffing causes threading and snagging befitting wool-knit pants. This should not be a problem with denim. Not to mention dirt retention; lycra is notorious for holding onto organic dirt etc...permanently. Levi's should change the style number or something when they make a change to the material quality of a product like this. Make it stop...please.

The belt loops and pockets are sewn poorly.

purchased two pair in both of them had the belt loop break in the exact same spot I have noticed that the larger jeans do not have the same quality once you pass in size 42

The waist size was 48 but needed like 54 or 56. Not for big and tall

Waist fits just right, the butt pulls up under your taint. Thighs and legs fit right. Length seems too long.

These are so tight, they are not relaxed. I'm slim 6'1" tall and 190 lbs and have a 34 inch waist. My old pairs of relaxed jeans fit great, these are tight. Not comfortable at all.

Horrible. Both 529's I tried literally fit different from one another. I don't mean a little bit off . . . they looked like 2 different styles of pant.

Total garbage. Thin material and a belt loop broke in the first 3 wears. I am done with Levi's - after 35+ years of loyalty!

I don't know who these are supposed to fit. The waist is absolutely huge compared to the legs. Belt required unless you are built like a potato on stilts. They'd be fine if they weren't tailored like hip waders.

Would like to break down the review into 2 areas: 1. The provider (Zappos) - Very very prompt and helpful in resolving the queries I have about overseas orders. I would rate a 4 out of 5. 2. The Product (Levi's) - I seriously have no idea why they have degraded their products by substituting with such inferior material, soft as hell. I reckon it will not last 3 months subjecting to daily usage. Have no choice but to give away my pair. Rating: 1 out of 5.

I returned them - they were to thin.

Once again, Levis misses a chance to serve the population of men with muscles. Instead it chooses to make skinny jeans for skeletons. Disappointed to say the least. If you're a dude with some beef, these will be tight and the low rise is really uncomfortable and looks silly.

Bought these for my son who has worn 559s for several years with no problems. For his birthday, he requested 559s in 32/32 (his usual size) and sub-zero color. They arrived and they were huge. They were returned for a 31/32 in the same color and, again, were huge. These were also returned. We compared these 559s to the older ones he currently has, and noticed that the fabric on the new jeans seemed to be much thinner. Since there seems to be no uniformity in the way Levi's jeans are made these days, my son will now go to the mall to try on Levi's before buying or learn to love another brand that is more consistent in sizing.
