Bottom line...I like these jeans just okay. Here's my big issue with Levis in the recent past, which I've largely been wearing in some variation for 30+ years (yeah I guess I'm an old guy at 50), they are totally inconsistent in fit & quality. Including this most recent purchase from Zappos (great company, in my opinion). I've purchased at least 4 pairs of this exact style over the past 2-3 years. Of the 4 they've been made in Haiti (this pair), Mexico (my 2nd to the last buy which I loved the fit & wanted to duplicate), Colombia, and Bangledesh. Each pair fits differently in some way, shape, or form (longer, shorter, tighter, looser, etc) despite being the same style and same size. While my weight may fluctuate +/- 5lbs during the seasons, my size is pretty consistent. The front pockets in the most recent pair are much shallower than previous ones, and the back pockets also seem smaller, I assume in an effort to say on material costs. I hate it that I can't expect the same fit & quality when buying what is advertised by Levi's as the same product. I guess this is what you get when you outsource your manufacturing and quality control to countries with cheap labor.

Levis 559 jeans fit me really well. I have a small waist and an athletic build. In the Rigid color they have a dark indigo finish and are 100% cotton. I gave these a 5 star overall rating. The black finish has 1% elastic (spandex) and attract lint.

I had the same problem as previous posters. I bought these based on a previous pair I owned. They fit great. However, the recent ones ride lower and were smaller than expected. Will just try a different cut I guess.

Although I washed these in cold water and dried on a low setting, they shrunk approximately 4" in length, and about 1-2" in width, rendering them unwearable for me. Recommend ordering next size up in waist, and one or two sizes up in length.

I bought the Sub Zero, Range and Tumbled Rigid versions. Sub Zero has some polyester in the material, is a looser fit and was longer than the others (although all were ordered in the same size). For my frame 6'3" 205 lbs, I found the Range and Rigid to be slightly too restrictive and not appropriate for casual jeans Fridays at the office. I kept the subzero for weekend wear.
I'd also recommend:

This is a very comfortable pair of jeans however it looks better in the picture, the only way I can describe what I thought as I took it out the box is that it looked old.

I purchased two different washes of the 559 jeans, both in the same size. Andi and Blue Frost. Andi uses a lighter weight material than Blue Frost. Andi fit as expected but Blue Frost was at least one size too small, if not two.

Like all big and tall Levi's there is way too much room in the but and thighs. This leaves a very baggy look which is quite unattractive.

Held good color after a few washes, nice fix only problem i had is when i would sit they would slide down which a belt or a longer inseam would probably fix

Definitely not the color in the pic. Much darker. Where is the duster on the thighs? Not pleased.

Product description is inaccurate. Zappos says the Steely Blue is 98% cotton, 2% elastane. But the product tag says it's 89% cotton, 9% polyester and 2% elastane.

This color is stretch fabric but that detail was not made clear when I ordered. I ordered the size that fits me but because of the stretch fabric they fit way to loosely.

These do not fit like the other 559s jeans, they run much smaller and the measurements seem incorrect.

These are the loosest jeans ever. The 44's fit like a 46/48.
I'd stay away from the 559 series.

Finally pulled the trigger on a pair. They are super comfortable. To my surprise they material is very thin. Wore them 3 or 4 times and I already have a hole at the top of the back pocket. I expected a little more durability out of Levi's. And to be clear these are being worn for leisure. I am not working in them.

The stretchy fabric tends to over-stretch immediately and ride up in an unpleasant way. Every time I stand up, sit down, walk, bend...there has to be some major adjusting.

I bought the Dark Pebble color because I thought it would be a dark brown like in the picture. However, the color of these pants are the same as the Dark Pebble color for other Dockers other styles. So the images for this color of these pants are wrong. Dark Pebble is more of a light brownish gray. I'll be returning these pants. I wish that Dockers would stock more classic colors like navy (not Dockers navy), dark brown, maroon, and maybe tweed and a plaid etc.

The quality of these jeans have drastically gone down over the years. After 5 wash/dry sets, they turn into floods! For the price that we have to pay (which is pretty ridiculous I might add, they are absolutely not worth it. Poor quality at very pricy rates. And with a construction big n tall husband forced to get his clothes here, and with having to budget just to get a pair of work jeans, I find it appauling and terrible that the prices are so ridiculously high and not offering great quality for the price we have to pay.

The cut of these pants is close to perfect off the rack. The problem is that Dockers, like all other brands, have thrown themselves into the "stretch" racket to cut back on costs. But what if you don't want to feel like you're wearing yoga pants? And that's more or less how these and all "stretch" pants feel to men over 30, even with 1 - 2% "elastane" i.e.Spandex. It's a real shame.

Had to take one pair back after finding them to fit to tight in waist. When I asked to have the same type of 559 Levi's, was given a pair and when I got home, found that the salesperson had given me a 34 instead of a 32 inseam. I had already pulled off the tags (I still have them) would like to return the pair (have not been washed) and get the right ones.
