I usually prefer lighter color denim. When I tried these on I was shocked at how well the darker color looked. Just good jeans!

Nice wash and color (ordered the rinse). They are a very full cut, a bit too loose for most I would imagine (including myself). If you are looking for that type of fit, they are great and a good value.

Nice jeans. A little thin but looks good and are comfortable.

He wears jeans everyday and these are now his favorite.

Use for casual wear and career...a teacher of high school allows to dress casual during the week and comfortable at all times..

I bought 3 pairs of the "Levine" wash in 44x32 and am very satisfied. The website doesn't mention it, but this wash is a stretch denim. I was very pleased by this surprise, as I have a hard time finding men's stretch denim in my big fat size, but your mileage my vary. Additionally: I have three pairs of these jeans, and they are internally very inconsistent. I have one pair that are akin to a pair of 501s (skinny on my large thighs, and relatively close to my calves), one pair that is very "relaxed", and one pair in between. This worked out for me, given that i like to have fat-day pants, but I can see this being really annoying for someone else.

Have always loved Levi's, but a little bit disappointed with this pair. The weight of the denim is much lighter than usual which I do not like. I prefer the heavier weight denim like the 517's, but for the cost you can't beat the price.

All (3) pr. pulled out at the belt loops at one or more locations. I had the left thigh tatter on one pr.. Material pulls out at the corner of the rear pocket stitches. Hold them up to the light after two or three months and you can see the weak areas of the material. Legs did shrink a couple of inches. Lucky to get a couple of years out of them.

My husband likes the relaxed fit. I feel they're a little baggy, but people are built differently as one may need the extra room in thigh area. Waist size is true to size. Price is reasonable as I bought these on sale which is rare. Will buy another pair in a different color.

After putting a little bit of weight on, most of the designer jeans that I've purchased over the years were a bit tight. I planned on losing weight, but I didn't want to be uncomfortable in the meantime. However, I also didn't feel it made sense to spend a couple hundred per pair of jeans for products that I didn't plan on keeping for more than a few months. The whole reason I will spend $200 on a pair of jeans is because I know they will last for years and years and years to come. That all being said, I took a look at Levis. The price was affordable and they appeared to have a few nice washes, so I bought a couple of pairs. When I first got them, they fit, but were very snug. I had actually thought to return them; however, decided to wear them around the house for a couple hours and see how they broke in. Once I broke them in, they fit perfectly. The waist was never too tight, but at first the thigh area was a bit tight. This loosened up with a little bit of wearing. Now they are very comfortable and fit fantastic. The side pockets are a little bit short unfortunately, but still deep enough to hold my phone completely. There's not much extra styling going on with these, it's just a basic jean with a nice wash. I wouldn't mind some accent colored stitching or some design work on the inside or back pockets, but all in all, they do the trick. Also, I only tend to wash a pair of jeans after one to two weeks of wear unless I'm very active or sweating in them. I have worn them for a couple of days and they are still holding a good shape. I haven't washed them yet, so I am not sure how that will be, but I am hoping for the best because I must admit that I am very happy with this pair of jeans. If you're looking for a basic, affordable pair of jeans that are made well and look good, I would certainly recommend the Levi's 559s.

I have had these jeans in a different size before my most recent order. I like that they are faded a bit and softer than the rigid tumble jeans, so they are a lot more comfortable. They are relaxed, but not overly so. That being said, they could be a bit softer out of the gate. I wear a 36x36.

If these are really Levi's I will eat my belt, But they are comfortable, look good. when I put them on for the first time I went riding my motorcycle and they became my favorite pair of jeans to ride in!

I ordered these in the tumbled rigid color. A good all-over dark blue without the sanding and whiskerinh. For me, they fit very nice, although a little long. Washed twice and very little shrinkage. The fabric is much thinner than the 501 STF. I doubt they'll last nearly as long. My office is very casual, so they'll be good for that and when dressier jeans are appropriate. If Levi's would just thicken up the material a little they would be nearly perfect. As always Zappos service is stellar!

Fit and finish are very nice. Sits a bit more below the waist than I thought it would, but still good. The material is not thick denim either, more softer feel.

These jeans fit perfectly, not too low or baggy and not too tight either. But they are a little in the thin side. I'm used to a heavier gauge of denim in my Levi's. But they will be great for warmer weather.

Very comfortable straight from the box, though they feel a bit bigger then the size indicates. A few threads were sticking out of the seaming that had to be trimmed.

Good fit; great color; great look. My only issue is that the 30" inseam seems short. If you are between sizes on the inseam, definitely go longer!

Good pair of jeans, I am 200lbs and 6'3" and purchased 36x34. They are comfortable, fitted without being too tight. I have 3 pairs and the only complaint is that the Tumbled washes wear very quickly.

I hate buying new jeans because I have a hard time finding a pair that fits right (I'm a stocky guy), but these fit great (so I bought 4 pairs). One of the labels on the back absolutely shredded and fell apart and really cheap (after 1 washing) but so far the others have been fine. I would buy them again if I need more. They are light and feel a little elastic, but they serve their purpose. If you're looking for a tough, heavy duty jean these are not for you.

These jeans are a relaxed fit and I find them very comfortable to wear. Probably not dressy enough for some occasions, but I like them. One thing that's interesting with the 559's is that they can vary quite a bit, in color, texture, fabric, etc. so be prepared for them to be a bit different than other 559's you've ordered.
