Ah, the classic 501s. This is a good color. Not too dark. Not too light. The denim is heavy, which is reassuring because they'll last a long time. My only legit complaint is that they are too long, where as when I order the same size in in any other style of Levi's the jeans fit. This has more to do with Levi's inconsistency than Zappos. Note: Levi's styles are different depending on where you purchase. 501s from Levi's website are slightly different cut than Levi's from, say, Macy's. And that cut is slightly different from what you get at, say Levi's Outlet stores. There is a hierarchy to the whole chain of retail. I'm not sure where Zappos is in that chain, but it seems pretty high, b/c I'm almost always pleased with what I get. Same goes for many other goods, btw.

501's are classic for a reason. These have an updated rinse, yet are not the prohibitive hipster/narrow cut. Bought for my pretty preppy/hockey-build hubs. Very good fit. He liked darker rinse too. A little 'dressier' if you want. Flattering fit for almost everyone, including women - I've been wearing 501's for 25 years. Well done. 4 stars because Levi's aren't made in the USA.

The last few pairs of Levi 501's I have ordered from Zappos have ALL been made in Egypt, so I sent them back, except for the pair made in Mexico! I recently found Levis in a local Army Navy outlet here, so that is now where I obtain my Levis. I always check the country of origin, as I do not want any products from China, Egypt, etc. The last few pairs I have ordered the quality was definitely not the good old American Levis? The buttons and buttonholes all messed up sad sad....

Great pants. I love Levi's one of the best brand jeans there's only one minor problem which is the button fly instead of a zipper besides that they are great!

Everything was fine until I washed them...they shrink about 3%. Had to send them back.

The jeans are great and they fit my husband fine. However, he thought he had outgrown button fly jeans! I didn't realize they were original button fly jeans, and honestly, it was not what I meant to order. But he likes them and will wear them.

I think it is pretty sad that you cannot get 501's in a 28 or 29 waist! The trend is toward heavy people I guess. You have to offer large sizes but forget slim tall people. Also the original denim is hard to find! Guess this is why older people dress so poorly!

Classic Levi Jeans

Certainly not the Levi's of old. Having grown up with the brand, quality seems to have tapered off over the years. Not surprising in a world of getting less for your money. That said, 501s still represent a relative value and offer timeless style. My posterior doesn't feel, look, or know any better by my paying 3 times for fancy embroidery on the back pocket.

Great jeans, they arrived in three days, needed size 40 though, but I'm making do.

Couldn't find my waist size anywhere 'til I shopped at Zappos. Very easy to order and great service.

Besides wrinkling funny, a great pair of pants. Love the color.

I bought the color dimensional rigid. It has a raw look because the material is not rinsed, but it has creases pressed in the waist and back of knee areas to resemble whiskers and honeycombs. There are no weathered faded effects. I have worn them several times and they have just started to fade. The creasing looks kind of fake since it is very linear and it also goes on the butt area around the rear pockets.

Received my order very quickly. Very pleased with Zappos. Will order from them again with pleasure. Will order one size larger on the jeans next time due to slight shrinkage.

They're great jeans. I got the shrink to fit in a bigger size and they ended up being exactly the same as the black non shrink to fits I had got at the same time. The only thing I kinda don't like about these is they get these weird wrinkle patterns on that that my black ones don't get. Kind of like a really wrinkly t-shirt that just came out the dryer if that makes any sense.

Very nice sizing, but the color is not really because of the stripes in the material. Otherwise very nice classic jeans.

Can't go wrong with a nice pair of Levi's. I've bought many pairs in the past, and as far as the price to worn out ratio goes, it can't be beat. The 501 does ran a tad baggy for my tastes, but I guess that really depends on your outfit.

They fit right. They look right. I like the button fly. The cut is right. Sturdy but not stiff.

Great deal! Pants are just what I was looking for. Bueno, bonito and barato! and sent directly to my house right next day at no extra cost. You can't beat that.

Good fit, but it does not shrink the 3" that I was told. If you are short, buy it in the closest length.

I found these jeans for my husband who is very tall and hard to find jeans for! The ones we ordered not only fit well but look great. We measured him and compared that to the measurements provided on the website in order to find a good fit. I appreciate the quality of the denim too. While it isn't incredibly thick material, it seems better than his previous jeans.

Love these! They're a classic, cool alternative to khakis. Caution: colors grit and black run a little small in my experience.

I am wearing these jeans right now and I have to say they\'re comfortable. They might be the same style I wore 25 years ago that have come back to haunt me. I like to pair them with a nice button-up shirt so that I\'m not so rough. They do ride low on the hips and that\'s alright.

Please don't spend a lot on super-fancy designer denim. Buy a pair of STF 501s, put them on, soak in the tub for 45 minutes, let them dry, and then take them to a tailor to have the side seams down the legs taken in just a tiny smidge. You'll have the exact same fit as jeans that cost 10x as much, but you'll pay less plus maybe a little extra for the tailoring. And they last a long time.
