Don't buy shrink to fit jeans. When you get them they are three sizes too big. Once washed/dried they shrink at least two or three sizes. You will not know if they fit you until you wash and dry them. Then you cannot return them if they don't fit (since they have been washed/dried). Also, whatever material they use for these jeans gets severely wrinkled and they cannot be removed (even after washing and drying again) unless you iron them. And who wants to iron their jeans?

Beware: If you're looking for classic 80s jeans, this is it. They are that bright blue jean color, very straight leg, and they button up the crotch (no zipper)! Not what I was looking for.

I wore them unwashed several times, and then took a hot bath in them and got out and wore them dry. The waist did not shrink. I bought my regular size. The length shrunk up about 2 inches. I have not washed or dried them again yet; I suspect the length will shrink a little more. Good color, sort a of a deep charcoal. They really do shrink to fit your body.

An old standard for a reason. After shrinking and some heavy wear, they look perfect. I recommend buying them 2" long and an inch wider than your waist if you plan to soak in hot water while wearing them.

These are really nice jeans. Word of advice though: if you're going to take them to the cleaners, get them 2 sizes bigger than your size. That way its fits perfectly and not too tight in the waist.

Great fit. What a blast from the past. Still the same quality and fit the 501 original has been famous for. Made my husband happy to have a pair once again.

I bought these jeans for my husband for Christmas because he's always looked so good in 501's, and nothing's changed. Love, love, love these jeans on him! I want to add that Zappos depiction of the color is right on; they were exactly what the picture shows. Thanks, Zappos!

The 501 rigid shrink to fit in grey is my favorite pair of jeans ever. In fact, the only jeans I wear are Levi 501s or LRGs.

No zipper. Button fly. Read a review to order a size larger, not true! These are true to size fit! Had to reorder for my husband as a surprise gift. Other than no zipper, he likes them. All other white jeans for men are very expensive. These are good quality and value. Levi's rock!

What is going on with 501 sizing? I wear a 30/30 (not shrink to fit) size. I ordered the polished black in 30/30 a few months ago and they were impossibly tight so I returned them for 31/32, and I still couldn't even get them buttoned so back they go. Hey Levis, if I wear a 30 in one color I kind of expect the others to fit the same.

I ordered the jeans as a gift for my son and was so pleased when they arrived the fit was perfect and he looks adorable in them! I will order more soon.

My Hubby hasn't worn any other brand or style in the 10 years I've known him - colors he will change, but when it comes to jeans these are all he will wear! Perfect fit, style and comfort...and his tushie looks great too!

I was looking for a pair of jeans size 33 X 36 for my son as a Christmas present. I didn't think I had enough time to order online so I went to the mall. I spent over 4 hours going to every single mens clothing store in the mall and none of them had his size. When I got home I decided to try to find a pair online and sure enough, zappos.com had a pair, very reasonably priced, no shipping charge, and they arrived to my house in 2 days. Unbelievable! I will definitely shop with zappos.com again before going to the mall!

Well yeah, 501s are fairly common, but try finding the non shrink-to-fit stonewash in 35x36. Zappos has 'em, and within a day or two they appear. There is no better place to buy em. Zappos rules.

The jeans are of good quality as you would from Levi's. The free shipping was lighting fast. I have order many things from Zappos and depending on time on day I ordered them, I usually recieve them within 24 to 48 hours later.

They're blue. They have two legs. And, they fit. What more could you ask for out of blue jeans?

Pants fit great and look great. Size is always the big question with these. I normally wear 34x34 Levis 559s. I tried regular 501s 36x34 and they also fit. Then on these went for 36x36, and that was a good call. They fit great. Usual Levis quality. Zappos has all the sizes and more colors, etc, than any store I know!

These are the best jeans out there that I've found. Levi's 501s are comfortable, stylish, and great overall quality. Zappos is the only place that carries a 35 inch waist which is the perfect fit for me.

Bought these for my son for Christmas. He loves them! True to size but he did ask me not to dry them. He is slim with runner's build. He says the fit is great.

Levi's are, of course, a good quality product. But the fit of this jean was extremely high waist and they looked like "mom jeans" on my son! he couldn't take them off fast enough!

This jeans looks great on my husband. He loves it. I need to purchase other colors for him. I shop all the time on Zappos and my experience has been great.

Sometimes it's just not about designer jeans on guys. My guy looks good in a flannel shirt a pair of original Levi's and boots. Let's get real about it; if a guy looks good in Levi's he looks good without them too. I prefer the original 501s because it makes a guy look good from the back and like he isn't trying to but that it just comes natural. My guy was using a chain saw cutting downs some trees when the saw swung across his leg and if it weren't for the thick denim that leg would be lost. True story, the denim is as thick as it used to be. Levi's has not compromised their quality. So what can I say? If a dude is wearing these jeans, he has got good genes.
