I am thrilled! Just what I was looking for, the real desert boot. I never had a pair back then but from what I remember of them on others when I was wearing Jack Purcells was that they would be the perfect neutral shoe boot for the spring and fall season. Maybe even summer, I don't know yet. I have a very easy foot to fit, 71/2 and in fact the Clarks 7 1/2 fit me just fine. At first I was not sure if they were going to be as comfortable as they looked, but sure enough, with a week's worth of wearing here and there, they have molded to my foot and the pure rubber sole is quite forgiving. I particularly dig this distressed taupe because they go with everything I own. So easy on and off without being a slip on; a simple tie.

I have this shoe in two colors. While they wouldn't be great for hiking (no arch support), they are a great shoe for every day use.

I had been shopping around for a desert boot and bought these on the recommendation of a friend (Originally I had been worried due to the heel appearing clunky in photos)and I absolutely love them. They are perfect for everyday in addition to business casual. They were exactly the look I wanted while also being comfortable. The only word of caution is to waterproof/seal them immediately to keep the suede looking great.

I love these Clarks classics! I probably should have gone with the 6 1/2 instead of 7 - but as long as I'm wearing them with thick socks it's fine!

Love these booties with skinny jeans. They were comfortable right out of the box and I have worn them every day, all day. The distressed taupe is a nice neutral color. Highly recommend them! They absolutely fit true to size.

Your return service is excellent! Ordered size 7 and when they arrived too big, called and exchanged and like magic the new shoes were at my door the next day! Great for just cruising around in and look great with shorts and skirts! Thanks you guys rock.

I bought the distressed taupe. It's a great neutral color - goes with just about everything. They're a little lighter in person than depicted on the screen, though. I was a bit unsure what size to buy as many different reviews from different sites ranged from "order up, these run small and narrow" to "order down, these are so long and roomy." Agh. I'm usually a 7.5 - 8, depending on the style and how narrow or wide a shoe runs. Once in a great while I'm a 7 if the shoe is truly wide. So I ordered a 7.5 and they are perfect. They don't feel narrow to me or too tight. The instep is a little stiff when I'm trying to put them on, but they're great once on and I think they'll stretch with wear. I would simply suggest trying these on in your local store, if possible, to establish your size. If you can't get to a store, try on your normal bigger size plus one half a size smaller. And remember, leather almost always stretches.

I freaking love these shoes. I wanted to replace my Wallabees, but wanted to try something new and these are a winner! They took about a day to break in, but they're seriously the most comfortable thing ever. I walk a lot in them - they're perfect. I love how they look, feel, etc. So great.

I have been searching for a casual boot to wear with jeans and pants that is also comfortable and this is it! Great look, hip Jcrew style! I am always a size 7... always but in this shoe I had to go down 1/2 a size! Shoe is a little stiff at first and takes a bit to break down.

Bought these for our daughter. She loves them! Comfortable and stylish. Wear with jeans or a casual dress and tights.

This shoe is worth every cent! They are extremely comfortable, and fit very well to your feet. It goes with anything! It especially looks good if you are wearing dark jeans, or khakis. I wear them to school, and work and they still look very nice with each one! I recommend getting these.

These boots are really cool. I got many compliments for them. The only thing is that it is super painful to wear them before you break them in and they get scratched up really easily. Overall, they seem to be a quality product and I'm glad I bought them!

Love these! So simple and comfy. The first time I wore them, they rubbed my heel a little - but I just wore them with super thick socks for a few days and now they're perfectly broken in. They're a fairly masculine shoe, so they look great with dresses and cute socks.

Love this shoe! Great with skinny jeans and a lot more. Found it to be true to size but someone with a wide foot may not find it comfortable. Liked the distressed taupe so much I ordered the distressed gray but found it to be sort of a weird gray and not as 'distressed' as I was expecting.

These are well-made, comfortable shoes that look great. They don't have a lot of arch support, but when I know I'm going to be on my feet for a long time, these are still one of my go-to shoes.

I love the look of these boots. A little stiff at first, especially across the toes, but once broken in, I can wear them all day.

Will always have a pair in my closet. Classics!

Love, love this chukka boot! Very comfortable and broken in in about one wear. It was true to size, but almost felt too big at first...when I ordered down, I realized I had the right size the first time. For smaller or more narrow feet, you might choose a half size smaller.

These boots are my absolute favorite fall/winter casual shoe! They are comfortable and stylish at the same time, which as we all know, are two things that don't necessarily go together. I wear them with skinny jeans and a ribbed turtleneck and I'm good to go. Just thought I'd mention that if you have wide feet,they probably wouldn't be the shoe for you because they fit my slightly narrow feet just right.

Ordered these yesterday afternoon and got them this morning...awesome service Zappos! Anyway, I read the reviews and because I can be between a 7 & 7.5, I ordered both sizes. By the way, my foot is medium width. The 7 fits perfectly. It is not small, it is not narrow, and is extremely comfortable. The sole is very soft and cushy/comfy. Love them already and haven't even worn them out of the house yet. I can tell these will be my go to casual shoes!

These are very comfortable light weight boots. I wear a 6.5 and after a week the stretched out a bit and I have to wear heavy socks with them.

Just what I was looking for: a working boot with comfort and style. I'd recommend a waterproofing treatment for suede, to make it that much more all-purpose. I ordered a size up, based on the reviews I'd read, but it wasn't necessary, maybe because I have narrow feet. This is the fastest delivery I've ever received, so thank you, Zappos!

These shoes will take some time to break in if you have a high arch. They look great with boot cut as well as skinny jeans. The smooth leather they offer is high quality and the classic old school style is perfect. I wear a 7 but got a 6 1/2 due to limited sizes and they fit well.

As my brother said of the Clarks Desert Boot, "these are the shoes you never knew you always wanted." They are perfect. The brown is a great chocolate. They are true to size, with room for my orthotics. No real arch support, but since I put my orthotics in, that doesn't matter to me. Very comfortable right out of the box.
