I wear a 10.5 in most men's shoes. I remember trying on a pair of the Caribou (non-wool) size 10 at an REI and they felt small. REI didn't offer half sizes in Sorel's (weird) and the 11s were way too big. The snow finally came to the San Juans so I pulled the trigger with Zappos on some 10.5 Caribou Wool in the Tobacco color - not to mention they were on sale!!! SNAP! Unfortunately, they were surprisingly too big. Tons of toe box room and major heel slippage. I called Zappos to exchange into a size 10. No problem, but they were out of Tobacco in that size. I was so friggin' disappointed (not Zappos fault). That Tobacco leather was so rich & d-lish. I hemmed & hawed for a day and decided to make the exchange for the Quarry color in size 10. Zappos processed everything incredibly and within a few days I had my size 10s. I put them on and was like, "WTF, they're too small!!!" But after wearing them around the house that day, they opened up and felt great. What's even crazier is that now that I've had them a couple weeks, they've almost opened up too much! Nothing a thicker sock can't fix. Definitely buy a half size smaller than your normal shoe size. I actually wonder how a size 9.5 would feel after wearing them a month or so - hmmmm... I am cursed with flat, wide feet and there is no problem with the width on these either. The Quarry color ain't too bad. The leather is a lot grainier though and the color is like a really dark brown. I do prefer the darker striping as opposed to the white striping on the Tobacco. 4 stars because you really gotta blow my mind to get 5.

I purchased the Caribou wool boot for a recent goose hunt in North TX. The temperatures during our hunt was 19 degrees and we were sitting in ground blinds with 20 mile an hour winds. The boots were warm for the first few hours, then my feet began to feel some cold from the sole. I had medium weight hunting socks. The boots did not have an insole, just the wool felt boot insert. These boots need an insulated insole to keep your feet warm. The cold seem to come through the bottom sole. I purchased some insulated insole which I will try on my next trip. The boots fit better with insoles and should solve the cold problem from the sole.

I purchased the quarry color in a size 8, which is what I normally wear, they are a bit to big. These are bulky boots but they are the best for heavy snow fall. If you wear a wool sock you are set!

These snow boots are the best I've ever purchased, I now have two pairs because they're just so good. My feet stay warm, they stay dry and they're a great height for deep snow which happens often in Buffalo. I cannot recommend them enough. The only drawback are by the straps that you use to pull your foot into the boot and keep the liner in the boot. the snap can break off. I would also suggest sizing up a half size so that you can wear thicker socks.

This is a great product. Very warm, water proof, decent traction. The only potentially negative thing to note is you should order a 1/2 size down than your normal shoe size. I wear a 10m normally and I needed a 9.5 in these boots. Cheers!!

I love these boots! The first pair I received was too big, but I honestly think that was a labeling error on another pair of Sorel boots I have. These boots are great - they keep my feet dry. My only "complaint" is that they are tricky to get off, but I think it's only because they fit so snug to try to contain the heat.

This boot looks awesome. I got them for my husband and he is loving them. They have kept his feet warm and dry while shoveling snow in our driveway. His only complaint is that they are a little heavy and stiff. Im sure the stiffness will improve as he breaks them in.

So glad I took the plunge and purchased these, right at the same time we were getting massive snow! Super warm and comfortable. These will last a lifetime!

At first it was difficult for me to walk with them but they loosened up during the day. very comfortable and protect from the cold of Chicago. Suitable for walking in snow.

Great boots, they have kept my feet warm and dry. I unfortunately got them after the majority of the snow in my area but they are keeping me dry with the melting snow. This isn't a huge deal but the side snaps could be added on better. One of mine has already broken off. Again not a huge deal but it's upsetting to spend the amount of these boots and I haven't even had them a week and something breaks on them. Otherwise I love them. They do hurt your ankles until they are broken in so we Band-Aids.

I love this boot but had to return it because the 10 (size of my last Sorel boots) fit a little too tight (short). Width was fine. I will likely reorder in the 10.5 if they have it available.

Boot is a bigger style than the Tofino (which I own 2 of) . Love the heaviness of this boot but the sizing issue took time to get used to.

I love the way this boot looked- but I actually ended up returning it. They are very comfortable, but they are also pretty heavy- like walking around in snow boarding boots. I would still totally recommend these boots if you are going to be in a heavily snowing area, but for me, I was looking for something a little lighter

I absolutely love these boots. They are waterproof and so warm! My only complaint is the the process of getting them on. My feet have a high arch so the top of my foot is higher than some, making it very difficult to get the boots on.i have to pull so hard that I actually burst a blood vessel in my eye once, pulling these on! I don't know that it's a function of the boot so much as it is a function of my differently shaped foot. Once they are on my feet, they are very comfortable and roomy. It's just getting them on!

I love these boots! They are warm, comfortable and so cute!!! Just a heads up though, they are SUPER hard to get on and off, almost like ski boots! I've only worn them a few times and it appears as though it might be getting easier but I'm not 100% sure yet. Because I had such a hard time getting them on the 1st time I actually pulled the side snap right off of one of the boots. I just plan to take them in somewhere to have that fixed. No big deal! So if you are thinking of purchasing these boots I think you'll be happy you did, just know they are not an easy on/off boot! That is really the only reason I did not give them 5 stars.

I wanted to get a cute & warm pair of snow boots, and decided on this pair. Although cute & warm, these did not look that good on my wider calves. Plus, they felt a bit too heavy and didn't think they would be the best option for weekend errands on snowy days (which, lately, we haven't been getting much of in western PA). I'll be returning these to get something for different.

Ordered these boots as they were highly rated. Was disappointed in the size and weight of these boots. The 8 was way too large for my foot. They were really heavy. They are made well, just didn't fit and were too heavy for me.

I have yet to wear them out in the snow to test it's waterproof, cold, and slip resistant ability. However I have tried them on to test out the feel of it. I love how comfy it is once myfoot is inside. It's definitely true to size. The wide front gives plenty of room for each toe. However, to walk in is a different story and will take time to get used to/break in. It feels like I'm wearing a walking boot/brace/cast. It's so rigid and unflexible, I have no idea what will happen when I'm on slippery ice, hoping they really are nonslip. Getting off is such a pain. I didn't want to believe the stories and complaintsbut sadly it's true. I really wish they had a side zipper to make it easier taking off but then I guess it wouldn't be totally waterproof. My ankle gets stuck when trying to take off the boot. It almost felt like I would break myfoot one time, I had to take a break with my foot dangling in halfway. This is not safe. I can't imagine being old with fragile bones , wearing these. I'm not sure I'll ever love these as much as my Minnetonka or other snow boots. The only reason why I'm keeping them is for their quality outside material, love the color and style, and the height. We're getting into negative degree weather and many feet of snow already, so I need a god quality boot. Just hoping they'll break in.

Boot is warm. Does feel a bit narrow, I went a size larger than normal due to this. Not as comfortable as my Old Sorel Domninator boots they replaced, but they should work. Would be nice if they made wide boots.
