Very comfortable, great vintage look. I had been looking for an Oxford that looked more casual, and these fit the bill.

This shoe is excellent! Comfortable for a leather soled shoe, and great looking. I would say order a half size smaller because I have very narrow feet. You will not be displeased with this shoe.

Nice looking oxford with the extra stitching on the toe and sides. Great construction and leather, albeit a bit stiff. Frye sizing is a bit weird, and usually runs a half to whole size large. I found the 10s too sloppy, but the 9 1/2s too tight around the midsection. A loud, heavy walk as well. I would have kept them if they fit comfortably though.

I'm impressed with the materials and build quality of this shoe. The detail in the stitching brings out the craftsmanship. The sole is stacked leather in the toe area and in the heal stack and textured rubber under the ball and on the bottom of the heal, which means you get great traction when its wet but the toe never grabs and causes you to trip. Overall very impressed, although they do look a little like cowboy boots.

Comfortable out of the box! Only disappointment is that Fryes aren't all made in the U.S. anymore (the box is stamped proudly, Mexico). Look great with jeans, have potential with a good pair of worn-in khakis, but I would avoid wearing with dressier pants or a suit.

If I had to summarize, I'd say you get exactly what you see in the pictures. The shoe is a well-made, casual-look Oxford with satin finish. The leather can exhibit some textural differences across the shoe, which seems intentional. I suspect that you could easily "tweak" the color and finish of this shoe using a specific cleaning/polishing regimen. Fit was largely true-to-size, although the toe-box does run shallow, rubbing the top of my big toe by the end of the day. That aspect has improved a little as the shoes break-in. Nice example of a Frye product.

These shoes feel great on my feet. They look great, too. Unfortunately, they started squeaking after a month. I had a cobbler look at them and he did not see an issue. I kept thinking that there was a loose nail or the insole came unglued. I went over them a few times with saddlesoap and the squeak persisted even on carpet. I finally found a little glue on the sole between the rubber and wood at the toe. I ran a razor blade in the crack lighly and separated the materials a bit. Problem solved. It took me two weeks to figure it out, but I liked these shoes enough to fuss around with them like this.

I walk to work two miles each way so well-constructed, comfortable shoes that also look good are a must. The Oliver Oxford really fit the bill and have become my go-to shoes. To be sure, because of their robust construction, there is a brief break-in period, but once there it's off to the races. There are my first pair of Frye shoes but they won't be my last.

I have narrow feet and these shoes are perfect! Like all Frye shoes these are a wonderful product. They are not flashy, but simple and easy to wear. Good for any occasion with great traction. I highly recommend them.

I put these shoes on for the first time today and they are amazing! Great footbed, sturdy shoe, great color, nice leather and fit true to size. I think they can be worn with most anything (I'm wearing fitted khakis now) a suit maybe it would have to be the right suit, maybe a slim fitting one. I'm sure these will be a go to shoe. Highly recommended!

This pair of shoes are now my favorite. After searching for a few months and trying on many different styles, these feel great on my feet and the look is great. I can wear these to the office, out with friends or even more formal occasions. My foot is a size 10 and I ordered a 10 and they fit perfectly on me, great support for the foot and I can wear these all day without any discomfort whatsoever. These are very well made shoes and I recommend them with 5 stars all the way.

I was so pleased with this shoe that I purchased another pair after 2 good years of use from the last. The new pair is fine, but it seems to me as though the last pair I bought was somewhat better made than this one. Perhaps Frye has just changed the way that they finish the leather and so the shoe simply doesn't quite shine the way it did. I think that it's just that these shoes do a fairly good job of imitating Salvatore Ferragamos but when they don't shine the imitation is not as convincing. The rating is based on my older pair which has served me well.

I am normally a size 11.5 and I have four pairs if Fryes in size 10.5, including these. I recommend ordering a full size down from your typical size. The Oliver is super stiff, even for Frye, but I appreciate the durability. Still breaking them in after 3 weeks! The Oliver upper is very tough leather with a moderate sheen and a flat feel. The sole is a little thick but it feels like they were made to last for years, no exception to Frye quality.

These are great looking, stylish shoes that are just different enough from others to stand out nicely. Nice material and fit. Comfortable shoes but I would not call them very comfortable. The rubber on the soles is subtle and keeps the classic style and quiets the shoes a bit when walking. However, they are a bit loud on solid floors. The toe box is collapsing on one shoe and not the other. I am not sure if this is part of the vintage look, but I do not care for the asymmetry. I am a bit disappointed about this problem.

Overall, this is a classic, well-made shoe with good stitching and a stiff leather sole. It is not as comfortable as a lot of other dress shoes which use rubber soles and padding in the foot bed, but it is not made for running. My only complaint is the cheap thin leather glued to the foot bed is already starting to peel off. It is nothing that can't be glued back or peeled out altogether, but I would expect better from such an expensive shoe. Overall, I love them.

I like these shoes - I have them now for a few of years (don't use them all the time but still very well made shoes with one notable exception) and they have a unique vintage look than standard oxfords. However, I had to have one of the shoes resoled after 3 months of use due to incessant squeaking in the sole. Now I still use them and like them but just want to make sure other buyers might want to factor in the cost of having to have one or two of the shoes resoled in a very short time frame after purchase.

True to size. A good-looking shoe with a low-profile silhouette. Stiff but not overly stiff that a mild break-in probably wouldn't handle. Be aware that the rear heel cup is very stiff, however, and may not fit your heel shape--it doesn't fit mine and would surely lead to serious blisters and discomfort. Otherwise, a solid shoe.

These are great looking shoes in a cool style. There is nice stitching detail on these shoes. They make a good bit of noise as you walk in them. And they are not the most comfortable all-day shoes but they are not uncomfortable. One more thing... beware of the vintage feel and look. The toe cap on both shoes collapsed and looked too vintage. And the collapse of the toe cap did not happen together - first one toe and then a couple months later, the other. It looked odd.
