Good for dance class; I put an insert in for a bit more cushion

I normally wear a 6.5M street shoe and athletic shoe, though my forefoot is a bit on the wide side. After reading the reviews and the advice in the product description, I ordered a 7.5. I tried them on with athletic socks and they were WAY too small in the forefoot. In fact, I'm not hopeful that an 8 would be big enough, and I assume anything larger would be too long. Will shop around a little more and see whether to try exchanging for an 8 or find a wider shoe. FWIW, I did cram my feet into them and tie them for a moment so I could test their pivoting action. Seemed fine on the wood, but did not try carpet.

I was a little disappointed. Very hard to put on because the tongue of the shoe is sewed into the shoe, but once it's on it fits. You do have to buy 1 size larger. The shoe runs narrow, fortunately I have narrow feet so it fits. Will not be good for wide feet.

The verdict is still out on these, but here is what I know so far. I ordered the criss-cross style Blochs from another company in a half size bigger than my normal size, and my toes were smashing into the ends. I had to pay return shipping so didn't want to exchange in case the exchange also didn't work. This pair from Zappos is a different style, but is similar. I ordered a full size up from my normal size and they are a bit lengthy in the toe, but pretty comfortable otherwise. Perhaps a half size down would be better, but hard to say since the criss-cross 8 1/2 was too small. I can tell they are going to take some getting used to, but I like how they make me more aware of my body. It is nice to be able to point the toe. I feel less stompy than in athletic shoes. They are slick on certain surfaces. I am using them for Zumba.

This is an adorable sneaker for someone with a narrow foot. It runs 1 full size small as well. If you don't have a narrow foot, don't order this shoe.

This shoe does run small and fit larger in the size 8 but it does not give me the arch support that I need for participating in line dancing.

This shoe has nice arch support seems reasonable comfortable but does not allow room for thicker socks. I'm exchanging this shoe for a size 8 instead of a 7 1/2.

I bought the Bloch dance sneakers to do my ballet workout and the occasional Zumba class. I am size 6-7 depending on the shoes; I have wide feet and a high instep. I got them in a 6½ based on reviews but I think the 6 would have been fine even with my width. They are snug, but they are supposed to be - the sides and top stretch nicely and adjusting the laces gave me more room. They are lightweight and comfortable. I like the split sole, and the ability to slide and pivot. I would not recommend going up a size if you are a dancer and need to pointe. They are fine for my needs but if I were using them for actual ballet, the extra length in the toe would be a problem.

Giving this shoe a 4 star only because it runs 1 to 1.5 size smaller. Otherwise it is a good shoe for my purpose. I wear them for Zumba only. I was using training shoes with light traction but my ankle was always sore. My knees would get sore sometimes too. Figuring that I needed something that would glide easier on hardwood floors during twist, turns, and side movements, I bought this shoe. Problems solved! Twist and turns are easy and no more soreness. My only concern is that soles may run down quickly to make me slip and slide when I don't want to during Zumba. My feet slide a little when I stretch in them on hardwood flooring. They shoes are worth the price. However, when the time comes, I will replace them with the Bloch Boost DRT that have thicker soles and give them a try. I wear a size 11.5/12 so my choices in good shoes for zumba are very limited. I'm glad Bloch has something for me. Oh! Zappos delivery is awesome!

Bought these for zumba and other dance, to cut down on stress to my knees. Took everyone's advice and bought a whole size up - glad I did. They are flexible, allow for easy change in direction and best of all, they are light! This is my first pair of dance sneakers and they're very much built to grip your feet, not so much the floor - but I haven't had a problem with slipping. They are very much dance shoes - we'll see how long they hold up!

I love this shoe. I purchased this for Zumba and it works wonderfully. The flexibility is like wearing a ballet shoe. I really like the pocket of mesh on the bottom, really keeps my feet cool. When sizing, I typically wear a size 7. I went up 1/2 size because I wear thin socks. If you intend on wearing a thicker sock then I recommend one size larger. I do wish it came in bright colors.

Normally a narrow 8 in sneakers, I went up to an 8.5 and these fit perfectly. They are so great for dance, the soles don't stick. But, trying to do turbo fire (kickboxing) workouts, I can tell they're lacking some shock absorbance. They are supportive otherwise, surprisingly so for the arch seeing as it's a fabric support.

Purchased these for my 12 year old daughter's hip hop class. I sized up as the reviews said by 1/2 size and probably could have even gone a full size. She typically wears a 7 and I bought a 7.5. They fit with minimal room, but her feet are still growing so I will probably need to buy a new pair next September anyway. She says they are comfortable and she likes them. They do the job.

I ordered these for my 11 year old for hip hop dance class. She loves them. We had to order them 2 sizes larger than her normal shoe size.

I am just starting out with Zumba, and this is a good starter shoe. It has enough give that I don't trip on the floor anymore. The shoes are nice and light, also stylish. I think they could provide a little more support, however, and I will probably get a more substantial shoe next time.

These shoes work great for Zumba! The first day I used them my feet were slipping all over, but after a few more tries they work great. I normally wear an 8.5 or 9 so I initially ordered a 10 since people were saying to order a size bigger. That was way too big. So, I ordered a 9, and they fit great. They are narrow, however, and fit snugly.

I really like this shoe. I had hoped to line dance in them. Alas, my feet are too wide. I had to return. Too bad.

This shoe is just not right for my foot. I have small (6.5) feet (that are also relatively thin overall) and the toe box on this sneaker is way too narrow. You would think that they'd make the toe box nice and wide so that a dancer's toes could splay all the way out, for stability, turns, and such. But no. It is unbearably narrow. One half-size up worked well, width-wise, but then the extra length made the tip of the shoe cave in—not pretty for a nice pointed toe! Otherwise, it seems comfortable. Now to return them and figure out an alternative...

I wanted shoes for Zumba class to wear instead of my sneakers. Unfortunately, these were super hard in the soles. I have no idea why the reviews are good. You can’t jump in these unless you like hard landings. Dancing in high heels would provide the same level of comfort. These went back and I’m back to my sneakers which are way more comfortable and cushiony.

This shoe is much more stylish than the Capezio canvas one that I also ordered, but the trade-off for the sleeker look was that the tapered toe was much too narrow. The length was fine, and my foot is not wide, but my toes were squeezed. The other problem is that there is no tongue, which makes for a less bulky profile; however, my arch is very high and it was difficult to even get my foot into the shoe.

I have been searching for my favorite dance sneakers - Bloch's Evolution - but it seems like the style has been discontinued. I ordered this Bloch dance sneakers because it looks so much like the Evolution but when I got it, there is hardly any arch support. I returned it and am hoping that Evolution will return.

I have had many Bloch dancing sneakers. I used them for line dance 6x a week- ranging 2-4 hours per day. When it's time to replace my old pair, I ordered this pair from Zappo's without hesitation. However even though my street size is 6.5 ordered 7 ( my usual Bloch dancing sneakers size)- this one was very narrow at the front- pinching my little toes although the length was perfect. another design flow was the sew in tongue- very tight and short. I had to use a shoe horn to get my feet in. I tried it at home for 3 days hoping I could us it but unfortunately it's going back. I do like the style - very low profile but not going to sacrifice for comfort and convenience.

These shoes are very comfortable on my feet. I bought these in my current size, but I found that the toe-box is a bit longer than I expected. They feel great on, but I keep stubbing my toe, or clipping my dance partner's foot as we dance. I am looking for another shoe as a result.
