My favorite working pants! Very comfy and they have a unique European (IE stylish) cut. My only complaint is the waist snap, which tends to pop undone while your moving if you have a tight fit at all. A belt helps though.

These pants rock! They are rugged yet modern design, lower cut waist, phone pocket is key, wear to work, dress them up, or go out and get dirty, warm for winter, great colors. I own four pairs and Kuhl is quickly becoming my go-to clothing company.

As an avid DIY'er, I bought these pants mainly for doing yard work and the occasional hike or paintball outing. I can't believe how great they are. I used to just wear an old pair of blue jeans but they were never very comfortable if there was a lot of bending, kneeling, etc. These pants are durable, comfortable and just flexible enough to be highly functional without being awkward. Some other reviewers said they can wear these to work - not sure what they do, but I work in an office and these would not fly in that environment. They look great for doing yardwork but aren't something that would look good with a button down or collared shirt. I wear a size 33x30. I had to get 34x30 as these don't seem to be available in a 33. They are slightly longer than most 30 length pants I get and I wish they made a 29 because I would exchange them. But since I generally wear them with boots, the extra length isn't that big of a concern.

I have Kuhl shorts, shirts, hats, and I love them all due to the excellent fit and function of their products. This is my first pair of Kuhl pants. Levis jeans are my religion and it is very hard to get me into any other pants for day to day wear. So far, I am liking the Rydr pants. I wear Levis size 33 x 30 and the fit is always perfect. I ordered the Rydr in 34 x 30 and the fit is also perfect. There is no room for shrinkage however, so I hope they do not. They are nice mid-weight pants, well built for rugged wear. The cut gives you lots of room to move, bend, stretch.... without binding. I must admit that I thought that the Khaki color was going to be a light tan whereas, in fact, the color is actually a light green. I think they look great anyway. They are recommended.

was way too big. i'm somewhere between a 32 and 33 waist and this cut, at 33, was just way too big and baggy.

Although these are the same size as a pair of KUHL Rydrs that I have, the inseam is long and the waist is small.

Love the pants but the Kakiin the Rydr is green. I will stay away from this color in the future. Make your Kaki the right color.

The fabric is kind of stiff and heavy, so they're really best for cool weather. But the fit is great and they're really sturdy, reinforced and stitched in highly stressed fabric areas. Plenty of pockets.

I practically live in these pants when not at work and have 4 pair now. They take a little time to get broken in but after several washes, feel great. The only complaint I have is with the snap closure on one pair being very weak and not staying snapped without a belt. Otherwise, very happy with the fit and comfort.

Fit well. Depending on the manufacturer, 34 or 36 inch length pants fit me. With these the 34 length was perfect. These are the second pair I have purchased. I really like everything about these pants with one exception. I really dislike the "Italian snap" these pants use. Any stress on it and it pops open. Really, why not a simple button? Columbia also has some nice pants but also utilize this dumb design.

Bought Kuhl Rydr pants because of the numerous size options allow for a good fit - that's their best feature. But the 98% cotton, 2% spandex material wears out semi-quick. I get about a year of use from my Rydr's before they begin to start looking shabby and fading. At 18 months I have severe leg-opening wear and a hole starting at the cell phone pocket, and hence a too-shabby-for-the-office look. Comfy but not super durable. Also, the "Khaki" color is not khaki, it's actually a light green/olive. Oh, and the snap button likes to come unsnapped more often than I'd like. Overall good pants, but plan on buying a new pair every year if you want to look sharp! ;)

I like these a lot. The fabric is thick and durable. It does fade nicely. I was worried about buying these in dark blue (I have varying shades of tan/green). But they look great. Still not a huge fan of the waist button. It seems to not always stay snapped. For this price I think this is a wrinkle they should have ironed out. But I love the look and durability of these so much I can deal with the snap.

Great pants. Have FOUR pair. Won't echo all the other reviews high points. Will reiterate some "character" issues with them: Stiff material, rustles when walking. Hope they will soften with age. Fades along crease lines. Need to wash inside-out... Especially dark colors. Now to my only peeve. Color. They say "Khaki". I see Olive Green. They say "Dark Khaki"... I see Brown. Comfortable alternative to my jean wearing. Full fit thigh makes bend/lift easy. Articulated knee makes Moto riding comfortable.

I have three pair of Kuhl pants now, with the Rydr being my first pair. They are the best pair of pants I've ever owned. Most run true to waist, but half a size too long. From a comfort perspective, they are amazing. In fact, the other night I laid down in bed and was too tired to take off my pants, but I didn't care because they are so comfortable. I slept all night in them like they were pajamas. The real magic is in how they move on your body when you are walking. You hardly notice they are on. The color ages pretty well too and you start to see some character in them without them looking old and dingy or faded.

Rugged pant with reinforcement in high wear areas. I like the look and fit. I'm 5'6" and these are really baggy on me. Won't be wearing them to work. They'll be good for hiking though and working around the house.

I've bought 6 or 7 pairs and have been fairly pleased with the fit, comfort and style. I can wear them around the office and also outside in rougher conditions. The only con is after about 9 months to a year the knee areas have worn thin and are susceptible to ripping.

Great pants! Good fit, well made, and look great. Very sturdy construction. I joked with my wife that I'll be handing these pants down to my son some day. (He's 9.) The only downfall, if I was looking for one, is that due to the thick material, wrinkles from the washer/dryer can get pretty set in. I have to iron mine out of the dryer to avoid this. And Zappos has been great, not only on this order, but on every one of my many orders before this. Their customer service sets the bar! They have made other online stores nearly obsolete for me.

I love Kuhl pants, but in the original colors I buy them. Sorry, I am not a big fan of the patina wash. The more you wash, the more the pants fade. Otherwise, they are great pants.

Love these pants. I am normally a 33" waist but they were a little large so I sent them back and got a 32. They fit great now.

The Rydr pants use a heavier fabric than Desperado or Slackr. They are comfortable and stylish. The only issue that I have is that the sizes seem to vary a bit. I normally wear a 34x34. Since they tend to run slightly larger, I ordered graphite in 33x34 and espresso in 33x34. The graphite fit fine in the waist; however, the espresso was tight. So, I will be exchanging the espresso for 34x34. Thanks Zappos for their unique customer service.

These are great pants that look cool, feel great and are very durable. They have a unique look to them so they stand out in the realm of ordinary pants. They are great for outdoor activities and can double down as semi-stylish casual pants for everyday use. I did get a small rip in them when salmon fishing which really irritated me since I love them, but the mend was easy and they still look super Kuhl. I would definately reccommend these. There is a little extra room in the knees which makes moving and bending in them very easy.

These pants are pretty nice. They don't shrink very much at all, in fact almost NONE in the waist but slightly in length, even on hot wash and dry setting with jeans. One thing that may be odd to some, the dye will 'marble' as the pant's are washed and the color fades. This seems to be most noticeable in the darker colors. The effect is like a crinkled/wrinkled pattern, not like the streaking that jeans do when they fade so if this doesn't sound like what you want I'd steer clear of this style of pants. Otherwise a pretty good alternative to jeans.

Great pants. All styles are the same design difference is in fabric. This style too heavy to hike in. Better for kicking around. More like jeans.

I bought a pair of these in green and really liked the feel. The fabric is very durable; almost stiff and can be worn all day without looking distressed. Yet, the cut of the pant allows it to move with me and are so comfortable. I bike in the summer and skate hockey in the winter and they provide me with enough thigh and hip room without looking baggy. The finish of the fabric does require some attention when it comes out of the drier, but if I fold them right away, I can reform the crease without ironing. I took off one star for overall because the black fabric develops fabric folds away from the set crease that are more noticeable; almost like a stress line that has a white sheen; it is more obvious in this black color than with the green ones I bought first. If one is concerned about that, I suggest the green ones first.
