Great pair of boots. Rugged enough for the trail; subdued enough for town.
I got these primarily to deal with urban commuting in winter weather. So far so good. Nice traction, high enough to keep snow out, low enough for comfortable walking. Great tread.
My only gripe against the particular pair is a gripe against Zappos: they're only available in medium width. One thing I like most about Keens is that they're wide. But it'd be nice to choose wider shoes if they were available.

I really like these shoes. This is my first pair of Keen's and I think I'll get some again. These Kelowna's have, to me, the perfect combination of form and function. They're not too flashy, but not too boring and they will go with most pant/shirt combinations. They are a hiking boot, though, so they're a little heavy for my taste. They are pretty comfortable. I did have to break them in for a couple days to get used to them. These shoes would be perfect for me if they had the appearance that they do but were light like a basketball shoe. I normally wear a 12 but I had to get these in a 13.

Very nice boots. Although I wouldn't trust them in heavy duty work or extreme weather conditions. Toes got cold when walking through snow. They are comfortable and can withstand most common conditions. They do have a nice style...a balance of unique but simple. I'd buy them for everyday use but not when I'm out in wet and cold weather.

I buy Keen shoes regularly and normally wear a size 8 - had to return these and order 1/2 size larger, my toes were literally touching. Felt a little narrow too. Liked the removable cushioned footbed, but it was not as cushioned as I expected.

These boots are an excellent multi-purpose shoe for work and play. Great arch support, and the waterproof feature is key for daily winter wear.

The Keen Kelowna WP boot is a great casual boot for the money. High quality components and thoughtful design. I recently tested it on a winter trip to snow-sloppy Europe. Pros: The boot is lightweight, well constructed, and attractively styled. It accepts polish well and should be polished with a neutral polish to keep the leather supple and enhance the waterproofing, which appears to be similar to Gore-Tex and is located underneath the leather. The boot's toe box is wide and roomy. Zero issue with toe hotspots either on the tips or the sides. Incredibly comfortable and perhaps the biggest difference between this boot and others. The gusseted tongue is wide and padded, the eyelets are durable and spaced out enough to keep the whole instep secured. Once secured, the boot isn't going anywhere. Great for long walks. I walked all over the countryside for a dozen hours a day and didn't get a single blister from essentially brand new boots. The rubber toe cap may look a little goofy to some, but it's proven useful and prevents that chewed up leather look other boots get from toe abuse. The boot is comfortably padded around the ankle and didn't rub me wrong anywhere even while breaking it in for the first few days. Cons: The abbreviated lug sole offers only minimal grip in wet or icy conditions, but is great for urban or suburban exploration. Overall: Definite buy for travel, the college campus, casual work environment, etc.

The shoe is everything I expected except for the finish. I like natural leather that ages, but the leather of the shoe is 'stained' brown and I'm not sure if it will age. Other than that, nice and wide, super comfortable. Customer service? Zappos is the best! I originally ordered size too small. They sent out new size overnighted prior to receiving original purchase. They shipped on their dime and they didn't charge my credit card while both pairs where in transit. They also paid for return pair. Nice. Will definitely look at Zappos first for any future shoe purchases.

I\'m a Keen fan. I have only had these a short time but so far they are good. Comfortable and look good. I haven\'t had enough experience with hard rain to rate the waterproofing but I expect it to do well.

Very comfortable shoes...totally waterproof. Only knock I have on them is the tread isn't much. Have them worn down bare not even 6 months.

The shoe has a tongue that is attached up and down the full length of both sides. The area where it folds into itself at the top when you lace them up bunches up and makes a nice knot of material digging into the top of your foot. Not comfortable. They are also not true to size. I have word a pair of Keen Austin shoes for a year now and love them...so much so I just ordered a second pair. Both the old set and new one fit perfectly, but the Kelowna WP Boot is about a half size too big. Go back to the drawing board Keen!

This was a very waterproof boot, and comfortable, but a whole seam came apart after 8 months of very light use.

These seemed like great boots until I had the nerve to wear them one day when it rained. One boot promptly began coming apart at the seam and by the time I got home it had a big hole in it. Zappos is great so long as the product doesn\'t have this kind of manufacturing flaw but when it does I think I need to buy from someone with a better return policy.

I ordered a pair of these and within a month they came apart at the seam where the suede accent is. I sent them back for a replacement and the replacement pair failed quickly at the same place. It was a real disappointment; They were very comfortable and I expect better quality from Keen.

I am having the same problem as a previous review, both boots are coming unstitched at the suede accent, and I have only had them for a couple months... each boot has a 3 inch hole in the side that fills in with snow and dirt and whatever... I, too, will have to recommend staying away from these particular boots. They still have the Keen comfort that everybody loves though.

The only word I can use to describe these boots is disappointing. I purchased these as a replacement for another pair of Keen boots, the Brooklyn, which had a seam come apart after a month of wear. These were no better in that they tore at the suede accent on the outside of the foot after only three weeks. Style and fit were great, they got great traction in the snow and wet weather.

I purchased it in October with the idea of using it for those slushy days in New York when the curbs get over come with water and snow. I actually wore the things maybe ten times before they ripped along the upper inside seam exposing the socks to water and etc. Actually this is the second pair I had because the first pair ripped on the outside seam the first time I put them on. Don’t buy these shoes!

Okay my second pair of boots tore at the suede accent near the toe. This boot is a BIG disappointment. Comfortable, stylish, supportive, and raggedy holes in the paper thin suede in three months of occasional use. I now have two pairs of boots with the right boot disintegrated. I’d stay away from these until the suede accent goes away.
