I work on Broadway in NYC and am on my feet constantly. I wore out the first pair of these and this is my second pair. They hug the top of your foot making you feel secure and they are full in the toe area so your feet don't seem to get as tired! Love these shoes.

I suffer from plantar fasciitis and have a job that requires 10-12 hours a day of constant walking, standing, lifting, and climbing. I needed a shoe that would address these issues, and so far the Toby deliverers! I originally ordered a size 10, because previous reviews said it ran a size larger, but after receiving them I found the opposite to be true, and reordered an 11 and it fits great. I did notice some slipping in the heel, so a thicker sock may be necessary.

These shoes are a bit darker in person than in the photo, but I like them. The support's great, feels like the arch hits just right, etc. They're my first pair of clogs so I'm still getting used to there being some room in the heel (and perhaps should have even tried a half-size smaller?). I'm typically a 7.5 or a 7 and these are a 6.5.

I am in love with Born shoes. I suffer from bunions & back issues so a roomy, lightweight shoe is ideal for me & with Born, I don't have to sacrifice style. Much as another reviewer noted, the Born "clog" is much lighter in weight & bulk than the Dansko version, which for me is a much better choice. I do wish there was more arch support in the Toby, but at the end of the day when my feet hurt, these shoes are still a pleasure to slip into, if I have to go out again. We walk everywhere in Hoboken, so these shoes are a blessing.

These shoes are really comfortable and since these are my work shoes, they making standing for long periods of time bearable. They seemed to run a little big.

When I buy a shoe like this, I'm buying for work. I work 13 hour shifts on my feet on concrete, with equal parts standing in place and walking briskly. This shoe is not cushioned enough to make the cut. It is too tight across the front band for my average thickness foot. After about half an hour of standing, my heel begins to ache and feel bruised. The shoe is fine if I walk constantly, or for about a total of 6 hours. After that, I'm in pain. For others reading this review: If you can't wear Allegrias, and find them hard as rocks and bruising, skip the Toby, since they feel similar. If you love Merrell Jungle Moc and Encore Eclipse, keep looking. These are not similar.

I love the style of these. Unfortunately, the shoes are not flexible enough for me and the toe box is not high enough. It rubbed against the top of some of my toes. It would cause pain down the road. They do not feel like they break in so they will have to be returned. I wish Born would make the clogs with a moc-toe like they used to several years ago. And their soles used to be made of a more flexible material. The next size up would be too large.

These were super narrow. I don't have wide feet, but the left shoe felt like it was a size smaller and a AA instead of the M. They were so tight that there was no hope. Other than the width problem, the shoe would have been perfect for what I need/want.

I really was looking forward to getting this clog. I love Born and have several pair of shoes, sandals and boots. The color on this Toby is nothing like a burgundy red, more like a bad eggplant color.

I'm so disappointed that these were too tight across the top of my foot. Will be sending back.

I like the way the shoes look. A major negative is that they are tight across the top of my foot where the stitching goes from one side to the other. They have begun to stretch out, but this is the most uncomfortable pair of Born shoes that I have owned.

The shoes are too big and too wide if you have narrow feet. They actually look better in the picture.

These I bought in Dec 2011. The shoes are very comfortable from the first day I put them on. Four months later there is a crack across the sole. I am very disappointed in the quality of this shoe. That is why I rated it only 2 stars.

This shoe was disappointing - not the quality I am used to with Born and it didn't resemble the picture shown on the Zappos site. The leather upper was very thin and the sole seemed to be made of a cheaper material. I ordered my usual 8 1/2 which was 1/2 size too small. It did feel very supportive. I returned the shoe primarily for the lack of quality but also wrong size.

I was so excited to get this shoe, it was very comfortable. But after wearing for several hours, my knees started aching. I tried again a few days later and again the same problem, and I am not even on my feet all day. I am disappointed; I thought I found the perfect, comfortable shoe!

I really needed a work shoe because I'm on my feet most of the day. These were way too stiff where my foot was just so uncomfortable that it would take a year of wearing to make them comfortable. And the leather grain was really ugly. Sorry gang, these are going back.

Very comfortable, stylish shoe. Not long lasting, however. After about 4 months of wear the soles in both shoes have cracked completely through to the footbed of the shoe, all the way across, right at the point where they flex. For a shoe as expensive as these are, I would have thought they would have lasted a lot longer!

First of all I have loved this shoe, but unfortunately the soles keep "cracking" on me right at the ball of the foot. I thought it was just the way I walked in them until I just read another reviewer complaining about the same thing. These are not cheap shoes, and I expect to get more than 1 season out of a shoe. I thought maybe they had a "bad batch" so I ordered another pair and they have cracked as well. I loved them so much that I took them to a cobbler to see if they could be repaired and he said he would have to put new soles on them at a cost. I decided not to do that but I think Born shoes needs to be made aware of this problem with this shoe. The material they make the sole out of is just not working! I really like everything about the shoe but can't buy any more since they won't last long.

Never has Born failed me, until Toby, which lacks its maker's usual fine workmanship, and is not sized like all my other Born shoes. Reading reviews, I should have known better, but I was blissfully confident that this Born would be as perfect as my others. That was not so. They have apparently altered their last, so they are decidedly too small. The leather appears and feels cheap -- not at all what I expect from Born. Zappos is superb as ever: Never do they disappoint. No tax/shipping, easy returns, more-than-ample time to try shoes, best customer service anywhere, excellent selection of styles, brands, and sizes.

I loved these shoes the minute I put them on. But I'm going to return them because the brown color is nothing like the brown shown on the webpage. That one looks unshiny, rough and ready and I love that look. The brown I got is shiny and creepy. Like old lady shoes. I reordered the same shoes in black.

These shoes are probably the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. They are as comfortable as Danskos in terms of standing, but much lighter and less tiring to walk in. I work in a hospital and am on my feet all day, and these shoes are my go-to shoes. While they are not stylish per se, they are also not clunky or matronly, and they go with everything - both work clothes and jeans. The leather is soft and accommodating. I have wide feet and a little bit of a bunion, and the leather stretched right away to fit my feet. There was zero break-in time -- no blisters, no pain, just comfort right out of the box. I have owned these shoes in gold for about a year now, and they have worn extremely well - still as good as new. I liked them so much that I got the black as well. The shoes are true to size, and accommodating of wide feet due to the give in the leather. I normally wear 9W, and these shoes work great for me in 9M. I think they would work well for people with regular feet too, because they are not wide or floppy.

First try-on...not sure, I thought. Second wearing...I love them. Size is true, definitely not oversized. They are much more lightweight than my Dansko-tried-and-true black clogs (have worn for 25 years). Winner!

I love these clogs, but they do run a bit small. I normally wear a 6.5, so to be safe I got the 7's (38Eur). They are still just a touch small across the top of my foot, but fit fine everywhere else. I'm hoping they will stretch out eventually. Very nice, otherwise comfortable clogs.

The most comfortable casual shoe. Perfect for cool weather worn with colorful high socks, or without. Perfect with jeans. Just order a half size smaller. If you want to be a few inches taller, these Born Toby shoes will do the trick. Enjoy.
