I like the Saucony Hurricanes #11 a lot. This is my second round. I bought 2 pairs of the Hurricane #10 and wore one or the other (black or silver/white/blue) everyday, almost all day for the next year and 1/4. I do tons of walking/some running (every day) and working out at the gym (3 times a week) and playing sports with my 10 yr old (soccer, basketball, etc.). The soles never wore out and the woven fabric is supper strong, I just assumed it was time to freshen up the support and I wanted clean looking sneaks. I have a moderate arch and these give me support without pain. I've tried on several other Saucony styles but each footbed seems to be for a different type of foot and I need to stick with the Hurricanes. I can also say that I cannot wear Nike shoes. They kill my feet. So if you have that similar experience with Nikes, check out the Sauconys. I am normally a 7 in converse sneakers, but in Sauconys I wear an 8.

This was the first time I spent this much on a pair of sneakers. I was reluctant, but I am a fitness trainer and I needed a comfortable, sturdy, well rounded shoe! I have a wide toe box and a small heel and this sneaker met every expectation and more. The support base is wide if you over pronate as I sometimes do. Since purchasing this sneaker, I have only purchased Saucony ProGrids. I have many pairs now! I didn't give a perfect rating due to a piece of material peeling off on one side, although I am very rough on them.

I have probably owned 200 pair of Saucony running and trail shoes and I would rate these 8 of 10. They fit well and support the right places.

I'm so disappointed in Saucony! Ten years ago, they were the only brand I would buy. I've been a Hurricane owner since they were first introduced, but I haven't been running in the past 4 or 5 years, so this is my first pair in a while. They don't feel nearly as supportive as they used to. They're comfortable, yes, and cushy, yes. But with my twisted gait (I'm both an overpronator and supinator), I need stability, and I don't feel that in any of the top line Saucony shoes anymore. (And what's with the bling? That silver is just ridiculous.) *sigh* Time to go back to the running specialty stores and find a new brand.

I have flat feet (thanks, Dad!) and need shoes with stability control. The Hurricane 10's had served me well over the last 2 years and I thought I would give the 11's a go. When I initially put them on I found them to be extremely comfortable. They have very nice cushioning. I found them to be snug around my foot, an improvement, I had thought, over their previous version as I had to tie my shoes extra tight in order to keep the ball of my foot in place. As I ran, though, I discovered that these shoes fit much differently from the 10. I suppose the extra arch support is an improvement for some runners but for me and my flat feet I experienced painful blistering in my arches. As I ran and my arches were being chafed the rest of my foot felt like they were being suffocated by the extra cushioning. Maybe the Hurricane 10's spoiled my feet with the freedom to move. In any case, while these shoes are extremely comfortable and I'm sure are wonderful for people with pronation caused by reasons other than flat feet, they are not for me. I would caution those with flat feet-- the arches are painfully high in this shoe.

I'm quite upset about my purchase. After wearing these shoes for one day outside they were no better than my exact pair I purchased last year that has had one year of daily wear and tear. Oh how I wish I could return these junker shoes.
