Best pair of sneakers I bought in a while. Very comfortable and great for trail runs and walks.

I use these for trail running through rugged terrain twice a week. At first they seem a little stiff but I wear thick wool socks layered over compression socks anyway. Now they are right on and not only give me the support I need but gives me great protection for the rocky parts of the trail.

Excellent value and true to size. The most comfortable trail sneakers I've ever owned. They are completely waterproof as stated in the description. I would highly recommend these for the casual to serious hiker.

I took these shoes with me to Yosemite National Park. We stayed a full week and they held up very well. My feet never got wet. We crossed small streams and hiked through some snow and never got wet. I would definitely recommend these shoes. They are very lightweight, too.

Reading other reviews I was little hesitant to purchase this pair. For some customers this shoe can be little different than what they usually expect from NB. Compare to MO950 and older model MA970 (not sure about the model it used to be Adventure line which NB discontinued few years ago). This model comes little narrower. I have to definitely get 4E, they have reasonable weight and are much stiffer than MO950. I will agree with most of the reviews; for some customers this is great shoe for some it might not work as well as they expected. I will not consider this truly running shoe more like outdoor/hiking rugged terrain use. I am former ice hockey player (200lb) thus I prefer shoes like these. It is not a slam dunk you have to try them and see.

Great shoes, very comfortable. New Balance shoes tend to last me for a whole year so I know I\'m getting my money\'s worth.

I work at Bagram Air Base, Afghanistan. I wear these shoes every day as I walk all over this base and the large rocks they call gravel. I also spend time on a treadmill every day. There was a break in period for 3-4 days but after that these are some of the most comfortable shoes I\'ve ever had. I will be ordering another pair to have on hand for when the current pair wears out.

Shoe is a little stiff but withstands the elements well. I got the 4E width which was a tad bigger, but the regular would've been too tight. Well built and sturdy, this is a great shoe.

First of all, I am a New Balance shoe guy, I have flat feet and wear nothing else. I am also a photographer and spend a lot of time in the field, so these shoes seemed like a good choice. Generally, very happy with them, one thing, they are hotter than you might think and after some hiking in warm weather, your feet get pretty warm, choosing the right socks are an important part of the process here.

I bought this shoe for running during the winter. Where I live, we receive over 100 inches of snow in an average year. The sidewalks and running paths are covered with a mix of ice and snow, then slush on warm days. Typical running shoes aren’t up for the task. I’ve been wearing New Balance running shoes for years, so I was initially a little surprised at the different fit of the MT910GT. It’s a little narrower than I expected. I was also surprised at how stiff the upper and sole of the shoe are. It actually took a couple weeks of walking to break them in so I could run without pain. The shoes provide significantly better traction on snow and ice than an equivalent running shoe due to the tread and the stiff sole. The shoe is a nice alternative to wearing boots in the winter. My feet stay dry even with melting snow and slush. This shoe is more like a boot you could run in than a running shoe. You wouldn’t want to wear it to run on hard surfaces.

Great all around trail shoe, works well as cross trainer also. As previous reviewer noted, does dig in around ankles a little bit.

Something is very wrong with the production of this shoe, at least in large sizes. The pair I received was an entire inch longer than the other pair of size 15 NBs I ordered at the same time. And one of the lace anchors tore loose the first time I tightened the laces. They felt really stiff otherwise, but I barely got to wear them.

I have been buying New Balance for years, and these are the first ones that didn't feel true to size. They felt at least a 1/2 size larger than what they were labeled.

Worn many New Balance shoes, all are nice and wide, all need different insoles (extra $$$), and none are cushioned around the top lace hole, resulting in bad chafing on the top of the ankle bone. If you only run in a straight line it might not be bad, but make any turns and the ankle poke is painful. Some New Balance shoes I\'ve had soften up a little at that spot, but these were too bad to begin with to give that time. Returned them. If they cushion the top lace hole properly I would buy only New Balance, because other than that they fit great.

wow did New Balance get it wrong with this shoe... the very first thing I noticed is the weight. these shoes are HEAVY, probably the heaviest trail runners I have ever tried on. why are they so heavy? If I had to guess I'd say it's from all the hard plastic this shoe is unnecessarily loaded with, it looks cool but serves no function other than to weigh you down. the other thing I noticed is how incredibly inflexible this shoe is, especially in the forefoot. I can't stress how important forefoot flexibility is in trail running... you need to be able to "read the terrain" beneath your feet. overall I am extremely disappointed with this shoe. Its predecessor the MT1110 is not only greatly superior, it's also one of the best trail runners I have owned and possibly the best fully waterproof trail runner ever made. I hope New Balance picks up on the negative feedback this shoe is receiving and uses it to make the next incarnation as good as or better than the MT1110, until then steer clear of this shoe!

Worst shoe I ever had. The Gore-Tex is a little booty they sew in around the ankle. Every step you take squeaks loudly because of the liner. New Balance says to put baby powder in to solve the problem. Unfortunately you can not get it under the Gore-Tex liner. I have returned these.

New Balance ought to be ashamed of this shoe. I don't see how in the world this shoe won an award. It is very uncharacteristic of New Balance. I have had this shoe for 6 months now. I have tried aftermarket sole inserts, different ways of lacing: nothing, absolutely nothing makes this shoe comfortable. You can't run in it, you can stand in them. After about 10 minutes your feet start hurting. The contour of the foot bed is all wrong. New Balance should be paying me for wearing this shoe, all the discomfort I experience every time I force myself to wear this shoe. I feel like I'm obligated to wear them every now and then after spending this much. Horrible. New Balance would not post my review on their website. I wonder why. Do not buy this shoe!

I have worn New Balance trail running shoes for years. This is by far the worst (and most expensive) pair I have ever purchased. Poor quality construction caused large blisters on the soles of my feet. Stiffer than running in work boots. Laces began to fray within the second time running. Don't waste your money. Let's hope NB gets it right the next time. Zappos customer service was great, as usual.

Best pair of sneakers I bought in a while. Very cushioned and supportive. I was ready to give them away because of the bright colors. I had one person say Wow! those are bright, and on another occasion someone said how much they liked them. After trying them for work I changed my mind and kept them. They are the most comfortable cushioned & supportive sneaker I have ever worn and they get better each day they break in. I just ordered another pair to replace these when they wear out. I am 6ft, 215lbs and am jumping in and out of the delivery truck all day and they seem to hold up very well. If you buy them, let them break in well. (- 1 star on style for the wacky colors.)

This shoe is very comfortable, like them. Keep up the good work. Need to make more styles in a 4e width. Thank-you.

Loved the prior models of this one (908 & 909)so much. They've made it narrower this time. In the previous renditions a 2E fit my wide toebox perfectly. Now you need the 4e (and even there it's pretty snug.) I haven't researched yet to see if they changed the shoe last to a more narrow one. Prediction: wide ones will sell out first...get 'em while you can. Like that NB continues to offer a sub model w/the lightweight materials for trail running or just a quality everyday walking around shoe. The 908 had a "tar fabric" which started to crack early on...the 909 put a quirky rubber web on the interior to prevent sharp rocks from cutting in (but the nylon got ripped quickly)...the man made materials in this one seem to be of slightly higher quality... but only time will tell.

Went to Sierra Leone West Africa this year and really needed a good trail running shoe. I was so impressed with this shoe, comfort and stability. Put many miles into this trip and these shoes preformed better than any other trail shoe I have worn. I will be buying another pair soon. Thank you New Balance for making a big part of my return to Africa so successful.

I ordered this very same model shoe after reading the mix reviews on it. I mainly ordered them because they were supposed to be waterproof. But they are far from that! I was planning on returning them but they are very conferrable and I love the colors so I decided to keep them anyways. For those who mention in their review that they are waterproof, Could be please confirm the model shoe you're referring too, Thank-you! Ps; Order at least a half a size bigger!

Great looking some comfortable, outside winter runner at least three days a week. After second week tear in the mesh around toe area on both pair, two months later I now have multiple tears on both pair extending the width of the toe area, disappointing.
