These are great shoes! Very rugged and perfect for very active play. Comfy for the child with a bit wider foot.

This is the second year in a row that I've ordered these for my son. They are great and sturdy shoes. They wear very well!

We needed shoes that looked a touch less like a sneaker and still had a nice wide space for my 4½ year old's foot. These are great. He felt he could go super fast in these shoes, and yet I know they fit well and we can get away with them for dressier events with cords or khaki pants. Hooray for a happy medium. They are very true to size. Thanks for quick delivery from Zappos!

This shoe is perfect for our 3 ½ year old son. He can put them on himself. They are super sturdy. He has very wide feet, so Keens are the only cool-looking shoes we like for him. They will be great with jeans, but it's surprising how cute they are with his white socks and shorts. His previous shoe was the Coronado sneaker. It was cute, but not as sturdy or durable.

Awesome shoes for busy kids. My son wears the same shoes every day so I wanted something comfortable, durable, and all weather. We got these today (loving Zappos now, quick shipping), and my son says they are comfy and I love the look with jeans and khakis. He wore them out for a bike ride tonight and accidentally tipped his bike into a big water puddle...oops...new shoes but no problem for these. The high quality suede has dried fast and the removable inserts allowed for the inside to dry. Removing the sole inserts let me see how awesome quality the shoe was inside. Well worth the money for this all around shoe!

I bought these shoes for my three very active daughters (ages 5, 7, and 9). They needed "everyday" shoes that would hold up to all the stuff that kids do...like dragging their feet across the pavement (a.k.a. 'the brakes'), climbing, trekking, etc. My kids say they're comfortable and they love how they look...and no blow-outs so far. Thinking of buying a pair for myself.

These are great, well made shoes. Would definitely recommended them. Lots of traction on the bottom yet can be dressed up with nicer clothes.

My son's first school shoe. Met all needs: comfortable, easy to put on, rugged good looks. Most importantly, though, our pediatrician said it was a great shoe that provided flexible support for growing feet, protecting the delicate bones still growing in a four-year- old's foot.

Always order 1 size up. But these shoes are perfect for a kindergartner. I love the sturdy rubber toe the velcro makes it easy to kids to put on and take off. Love the shoe!

I just ordered the next size up for my 4.5 year old son. He is a "one shoe" kind of guy and this one did it all. They were sturdy and didn't get all scuffed up despite them being worn all day every day. I just asked him if he wanted the same shoe or a new one and he asked for the same ones.

This is the 2nd pair of these shoes I have bought for my son. They're really durable and hold up very well to all the activities a five year old boy can put them through. They look great too.

I absolutely love these shoes for my 2-3 year old. He grew out of the previous pair, and was set on picking these out again. Doesn't shoe wear. The only downside is not waterproof.

Love Keen for my son! He's 3 and Keen's always stay on his feet and are comfortable too. He stays in these all day at school and still wants to wear them on off days. Water resistant for walking to school too. Very durable and will buy again!

Perfect school shoe for my 6 year old! These are a very solid shoe, very comfortable, and with the bungee laces, they are easy to put on when you're rushing out the door to take the kids to school! Love that they are athletic, yet dressy! Seems like a lot of money for a kids shoe but when it’s their primary shoe everyday, it’s worth it!

I love all Keen shoes for myself and my kids. They are very comfortable and last forever. I bought these in size 12 for my five year old who isn't quite ready for lace up shoes yet. They're easy for him to get on and go with nearly all of his clothes. Perfect.

My 4 year old son wears Keen shoes year round. In the summer he wears sandals and in the winter he wears these. They are very versatile and go with just about any clothing.

Super cool shoe for preschool. My 3 year old loves his school shoes and can put them on himself. I have even sent them through the washing machine after they were worn for stomping in the mud, and they came out fine. Only wish they were waterproof.

This is the perfect school shoe that can be worn for all 3 seasons, in all weather. They do actually look cute with shorts as well as pants and my 3 year old son loves them!

I love them! My 3-year-old can put them on by himself. I bought a size up (guilty) so that they would last all winter -- and they work great -- run, play, etc., without tripping! It's so easy to order from Zappos -- and they arrive so quick!

We are a Keen loving family, with at least seven pair currently in rotated use. When it came time for our little boy to move on to big boy shoes we knew which name to trust. And the Austin design is our favorite. It goes with everything from running in the mud to family pictures (after a quick run through the washing machine). This is his second pair, and as long as they keep making this style (fingers crossed) we will be back when he sizes up. Today was the first day my child wore these shoes. When he put them on this morning, he said they felt good. I'm really not concerned about the durability because this is his second pair and he still has the 1st pair. The 1st pair has a few stains, but no holes or rips. These shoes are not the cutest, but if your child is really hard on shoes these are the shoes to get.
