Customer Reviews Frye Cindy Slouch

I am compelled to review this boot because it has such mixed opinions. I ended up returning them and kept the Frye Rider and love them! The Cindy Slouch brown vintage leather is beautiful and very soft, and the distressing isn't too much. The shaft is a thinner leather, but definitely fit over my calves, almost knee high. The ankle area seemed to slouch a bit but not the whole shaft. I'm 5'6", calves are 13 3/4". The toe is a great shape. The footbed isn't overly cushioned, but still okay. Like another reviewer mentioned the circumference around the ankle is huge, I think it's called the vamp sticks out way too far, at least an inch in front of the ankle. Maybe this helps the slouching? Overall, a beautiful boot, but comparing the Rider side-by-side they lost their appeal more quickly. I felt like I could find a comparable Cindy somewhere else.

I was super excited to get these boots because I had been looking for a pair like this forever. I read tons of reviews and was a little hesitant because of some of the bad ones, but there were so many good ones, too. Anyway, there is a weird "lip" that really sticks out in the front like right in front of the ankle. I could slouch them down a bit and sort of hide the "lip", but I didn't want to wear them like this all the time. Ah well, back to the search! At least I can return them for free and Zappos is the best when it comes to shipping. I always get my shipments super fast.
