I am so disappointed! I have many, many pairs of Havaianas flip flops over several years and was always very pleased with them. This newest pair, however, left me disappointed. The sole is thinner now than my older pairs. I had an older pair on when I decided to try on the new ones that just arrived. As soon as I put the new ones on I knew they didn't feel the same. I compared the soles of the new to the old, and the new ones are definitely thinner. Since the price hasn't changed perhaps they decided to save money by making a cheaper product. I would gladly pay a bit more for the quality I was expecting from Havaianas.

Weird. I have bought Havaianas for years and years. Always slim always 37/8. This time both pairs I ordered—but especially these blue ones—seemed very very loose. They did not hug/hold my foot at top at all. Worse than when they get super old and it feels like the toe thing will fall out. I was bummed.

I love this brand and just because I didn’t love this style, I will still by buying more. My normal size was way too big and wide. I gave them to my sister who is a 1.5 size bigger than me and they fit her perfectly.

I love Havianas slim flips but the sizing can be very inconsistent. The gold color in particular was smaller than the same size in a different color. And the size up was way too big. Will be looking for a more consistently sized flip.

REALLY disappointed! I had a pair of these from last year, I think it was, and one broke. So I ordered these in the 39/40, the exact same size and they are too small! I believe a size up will be too big! This is not a true 39/40. They are skimping to save money, I guess. So annoying!

I read the review that zappos has the sizing wrong and so I went up a size, they are way too big. The sizing is not off. The problem is, I purchased these 16 years ago before they became popular and they were good quality and very comfortable and now I think there is a company that was set up to mass produce these and the quality went way down and the sizing is all bizarre. Depends where each distributor buys their shoes from but these are not the ones from way back. Now it is just brand, they are not any better than the ones I purchased for $5 at Old navy but they used to be awesome and last forever. now they break easily and are stiff and well, like any $5 pair of flip flops. I think if you are an 8.5-9, you have to get the 39/40 not the 41/42. I will be exchanging mine .

I am a US size 6.5/7, but based on other reviews, I ordered the Brazilian converted 7/8. The length of the flipflop fits fine. The straps are very loose and are kind of 'higher' than normal flips so they don't hug my foot. I'm going to keep them, but I think next time, I would go one size smaller (I do not have wide feet).

This is my second pair in 5 years. If you haven't worn anything but cheapies, you will never wear those again. These last forever and are so comfortable. It is the natural rubber that is so durable instead of cheap foam I believe. Now on to the tricky part- fit. First of all, if you have a wide foot do not consider these. If you are narrow to regular they should be perfect. Here's the problem. The sizing has changed from my older pair. I figured I would stick with the same Brazilian size- bad idea. I wore a 39-40 in my old pair and it said 7-8 on the shoe. This pair is 39-40 as well and the shoe says 9-10. So these run bigger than the old Brazilian sizing. I kept them anyway, but could have gone down. Because of this issue I did not give a perfect rating.

Unfortunately these Havianas have decreased in quality. They have thinner soles and the soles have less cushion (compared them to my old pair which are well worn but still thicker and softer).

The sizing is off on these Havaianas -- I have a pair of the Slim Animal style and the 7/8 fits great. The 7/8 in this shoe in the rose gold is about 1/2 inch shorter and too small. Am sending these back and suggest sizing up, at least for the rose gold slim. Great shoes though; am ordering a larger size.

They just do not fit my feet well. I am an 8.5-9N in street shoes. The slims fit better than the regular in width and would work if the length sizes were different. The 7/8 is too short, and the 9/10 is long. I wish they made 8/9.

I have many pairs of these flips and only wear size 37/38 and each pair fits completely different. With this pair I just ordered are the smallest 37/38. Could have gone a size bigger. I have been buying the slim Havianas for years and have always been pleased with the quality of these flip flops. They are thick, comfortable and long lasting. I recently ordered a black pair to add to my collection and was so disappointed when I received them in the mail. I'm not sure if I just got a bad pair or if Havianas has decided to cheapen their product. This particular pair was so much thinner than all my other pairs. They felt cheap like the $5 ones you can get at Target. I'm not returning them because it's just a pair of flip flops and I only wear them around the house , to the pool and at the beach. If the next pair I order are this thin, I will not be buying them ever again. Please, Havianas, do not lessen the quality of my favorite flips!

I love Havaianas slims & own more than a dozen pairs. Sometimes I've had to give them a little filing in the area underneath where the toe post and rubber (V) straps meet. Lately I've noticed some ragged finishes like rubber nubs and strange outcroppings that need clipping. While inspecting the underside of the last two pairs that I bought from Zappos, I found at those round stopper things a thick, milky grease-like substance that looked like congealed bacon fat. Gobs of it that managed to sufficiently gross me out. I imagine the manufacturing process must involve a lubricant to get those rubber stoppers through the little holes. I've decided I now have enough Havaianas.

These are my go-to flips for casual wear and I ordered my usual size. The cut of the sole is bigger than my previous and other pairs, and anyone who buys these on a regular basis knows that quality control on them is kind of shabby. Different colors in the exact same style and size can be different, even the same color can be different from pair to pair. I think you get what you get and shouldn't expect exact matches from this brand, but they still look good and are fine for everyday wear.
