I read the review that zappos has the sizing wrong and so I went up a size, they are way too big. The sizing is not off. The problem is, I purchased these 16 years ago before they became popular and they were good quality and very comfortable and now I think there is a company that was set up to mass produce these and the quality went way down and the sizing is all bizarre. Depends where each distributor buys their shoes from but these are not the ones from way back. Now it is just brand, they are not any better than the ones I purchased for $5 at Old navy but they used to be awesome and last forever. now they break easily and are stiff and well, like any $5 pair of flip flops. I think if you are an 8.5-9, you have to get the 39/40 not the 41/42. I will be exchanging mine .

These are my absolute favorite pair of flip flops ever. They are very comfortable and come in so many colors. A summer must have!
