My son loves these shoes so much for xc running, he won't wear any of his other gym shoes now, even for everyday use. Only complaint is they do not wash well.

I really wanted these shoes to work. I have used the Nike+ system since 2006. While I love the system, my wide feet really killed the chance for a true fit. Finally I see that Pegasus comes in 4E, albeit only in the white/red variant. Reviews were positive and it was even deemed a best buy. I get them and insert my orthotics, not the best fit, but could have been better. First thing I notice is the week support on the outer back heels. Having a supinating gait this was a red flag. I stuck with it, desperate to use the nike+ features. The orthotics made the shoe last langer for me, and they worked better then I thought they would initially. Though the weak outer heel support eventually broke down, causing pain in my calves from stretched tendons. Supinators be weary with this shoe. I decided to give up on Nike+ for now because I just couldn't be locked into the style that I know will break down on me 4 months of regular use.

This shoe was very comfortable at first, it has a lot of support and cushioning that was a huge change from my previous Asics running shoes. However, now they feel stiff, and unforgiving, and long hard runs elicit pain in my foot. I wear a big shoe (15), and it might be that foot is a little wide. In any case, it’s a great looking shoe, and is comfortable for walking around in; but for running, I’ll be going back to Asics: they make a cool looking black shoe, too.

I bought the Nike Air Pegasus+ 25 last year and loved them. I bought the exact same size of the Pegasus+ 26, hoping they would be similar. They are huge. I put the old shoe against the new. The new one is at least half a size if not full size bigger. I expect this of jeans due to vanity sizing, but not shoes. Unfortunately, I wear woman's size 6, so no option to go down a size.
