I've had a classic black pair of Vans for years. Love them!! So just ordered 3 more pair. New ones have no padded tongue or padding on collar like my old pair.

The tongue is canvas. The rest is leather. I wish the entire shoe was leather rather than cutting costs just on the tongue.

These are my go to shoes. I've worn them for 20-30 years. But this may be my last pair. The quality and fit are inconsistent at best and its gotten so they've become so uncomfortable and ill fitting that I can't justify buying them again.

I have bought the same pair last year and I like the look of them, but for some reason they are brand new shoes and already had a black scuff on it and I hadn't even worn them yet, this is the second time this has happened from ordering them online. I still will wear vans but will probably stop ordering them online.

Love the classic Mickey. Colors are nice, but would have been great to add a little POP of color. And honestly, this would have looked so much better as a slip-on. The laces just take away from the overall look of the shoe.

The fit and style are great it's the color that's the problem it's not the same as the picture. The color is more of a wine color.

A bit on the flimsy side, these shoes get A+ for style and D- for fit and durability. I am a perfect off the shelf Doc Martin and Vans 9D. The sizes on the Vans Authentic run at least 1/2 too small and where the rubber hits the road....the wear was telling after a few weeks of moderate walking (no skateboarding!) on the top and sides. This is not one of Van's sturdier set of kicks. If you just have to have these... get one size larger and add an insert. And tread lightly.

I bought these shoes to skateboard; they are vans! But they gave me terrible blisters on my Achilles and ankle. The shoes look fine, but even just walking in them are not comfortable. Not a terrible shoe, but vans have much better options like the old school shoe.

This shoe is definitely not white. It's almost pale yellow. I loved the blue stripe and was why I ordered it but when it arrived it was not a white shoe

These plaid Authentic Vans were described as having a green plaid which sounded great. Unfortunately, I see no green at all - more like a dark blue-black plaid. Kinda drab color. Too bad will be returning

This shoe runs at least a half size small, and Vans does not do exchanges or honor the sale price I originally paid for the item. Would not recommend.

What happened to the quality on the vans authentics? Ive been wearing these for years but it feels like they changed the rubber on the sole and its way less durable and flimsy now.

the quality on these is awful. They wrapped the original sole in fabric and then in a thin rubber, they're falling apart after minimal wear

I have worn authentics for the last 10+ years and never had any issues. I skate in them, mtb, bmx and even use them for hiking! This pair literally fell apart within days. The entire sole detached around the sides then the bottom of the shoe just fell through. It's almost like the shoes weren't even glued. Not sure if this was a defective problem or if the checkered print on the canvas kept the glue from adhering

The right shoe was a full size smaller than the left shoe, as per the label on tongue of shoe. Needless to say it did not fit my foot.
