The *perfect* down jacket. Incredibly light, yet surprisingly very very very warm! The fit is beautiful. It has a slim, feminine cut, without making you look like the stay-puffed marshmallow man. I got a size small-- I think the extra small would have been too short in the sleeves, and the small seems to fit great without being bulky. The color is gorgeous! Even though it is called "bitter chocolate," it's not actually brown, more like a really dark maroon color. I decided to purchase this jacket from Zappos because the retail stores and the Patagonia website were sold out of the color I wanted. Go Zappos!

This Patagonia down sweater is FABULOUS--comfy, warm, great in cold weather for all kinds of uses. I plan to buy another when they come out with a color that suits me,

Very light weight and super soft and comfortable. I have a different "long" more winter-ish down coat, and I wanted something that would work into spring. This is that coat. After much deliberation I chose the white (who am I kidding? I about busted a brain cell trying to pick a color!) because I felt like it would go with everything--especially my jeans and scarf. The white is nice, but it is a little weird because you can see the feathers under it. I have decided I can live with that. The jacket is so soft and comfy! And not as short as I feared it would be. Overall, a super good jacket. Go for it!

I love the Patagonia Down Sweater. It is so lightweight, but very warm and wind resistant, too. It has a great fit.

Warm, comfortable, & worth every penny. Doesn’t make you feel like a giant marshmallow when you wear it & it is so lightweight that you almost forget you are wearing an extremely warm jacket (except for noticing that you are not cold AT ALL!). And it’s machine washable, so how can you beat that?

This is the best jacket ever. The lightness and fit are extraordinary given the exceptional amount of warmth this Patagonia provides. I can’t bring myself to be weighed down by a heavy overcoat or jacket when I can toss on this down sweater and be perfectly comfortable. Love the look. Easy wash & dry on low, with two clean tennis balls in the dryer. I love Zappos!

Patagonia makes my favorite of several brands of 800 down jackets I own. It has a nice fit - thankfully not puffy or bulky. I'm always cold, and 800 down provides lots of warmth (at least for the SF Bay Area - I can't attest to snowy climates). I own both red and purple two of this style. They're really nice colors, too, and a great change from the usual black.

I had been looking for a jacket just like this for 2 years. My husband surprised me by ordering it for me for Christmas. It is PERFECT! Very comfortable, lightweight & warm enough even for Alaskan winters.

I bought this down sweater for my wife for her birthday. She absolutely loves it! Before this, she would wear multiple layers of bulky sweaters, fleece vests, etc. that ultimately made her look, well, bulky. Now she looks smart and raves about how light and warm her sweater is. We both work at a ski resort and know numerous people who wear this as a light ski parka on warmer days, although I'm not certain it's really durable enough for that purpose; it doesn't seem like it would take much to rip the light fabric. All in all, a great product!

I really love this down sweater. It's so warm I can use it with only a t-shirt, and the weight is so light.

I love this jacket! I ordered my normal size, but do feel that it runs a little large. I\'m happy with the fit though, since it allows me to layer under it. I bought a stuff sack at REI for when I travel with this; you can use the pocket as a stuff sack, but I prefer to have a separate bag for it. I don\'t think I can rationalize another down sweater, but I am coveting the plum color!

I love this down sweater. I ordered the pearl and you could see the feathers through it so it made it look dirty. I am exchanging it for another color. Otherwise it is a fabulous buy!

I am 5'4 and 110 lbs and the XS was a bit too puffy for me. It fit well in the body area but the arms made me look like a football player. The jacket is the perfect weight though and would be great if not for the puffy sleeves and being too long in the arms. The blue color is pretty.

I bought this jacket because I have a long Patagonia down coat for winter, which I absolutely love. The down sweater is the perfect weight for cool early spring weather. It\'s very light weight and comfortable. It also squishes down to a very compact size, so it\'s great for packing. I haven\'t washed it yet, but the down coat washed well, so I have no doubt that this will too. My only complaint is that the jacket is a tad short for my taste. Most of my sweaters and shirts stick out about and inch or 2 below the bottom of the jacket. Other than that, it\'s perfect!

The dark part of the down feathers show through the blue fabric making the sweater look dirty. At first I thought that maybe it was dropped on the floor in the warehouse but it was the feathers. I loved everything about this jacket so it was a big dissapointment to have to send it back. I loved the blue color. I'm going to order it in black and cross my fingers that I don't have a problem.

This jacket is awesome. Super light, packs down to nothing and pretty warm on it's own down to about 45. It's also great for layering under another coat for colder days. It isn't the most flattering but then again down is like that.

Great jacket! I ordered this jacket for my daughter, who wanted one after wearing mine! This jacket is perfect for running around, light but warm. I love that it's warm without making you look like the Michelin tire man! We live in Wisconsin, so won't take us through the entire season if the weather hits below freezing (we have long North Face's for that!), but it's great for the winter months and late fall. By the way, I ordered this from Zappos late one evening, the UPS man delivered it before noon the next day! Freaky fast! Love Zappos!

There are a few things I cannot live without, and this jacket is one of them. I looked at it for at least a year before buying it because it's so spendy. I'm now on my second one, and I honestly can't imagine how I ever lived without it. It's super lightweight yet warm and packs down into it's own interior pocket to like 5 inches by 5 inches. Perfect for traveling but I also wear mine every day when the weather is cool. I got the Curacao color this time and it's a gorgeous deep turquoise. It's not as bright or as shiny in person as it looks on my screen. There's nothing "neon-y" or flashy about it. It's a nice matte rich turquoise. You cannot see the feathers through this color. The fit is really flattering and comfortable. I'm 5'4, 135, 36C and the small fits me perfectly. A long sleeve t-shirt fits under it and a variety of coats (rain, wool, etc.) fit over over it. The sleeves are a little long but I have short arms and it's not a problem because they fold under on themselves and lay flat and stay put. Washes and wears like a dream -- no feathers leaking no problems at all. Love it! As always, Zappos is fantastic. Super fast shipping and overall the best customer service on earth! Thank you Zappos.

My wife loves this jacket. It is very lightweight, somewhat slim fit (not bulky at all!) and comfortable. The only down side is that the shell is very thin and seems to be "fragile" and feathers could come out. So if you want a super comfy, great looking jacket and don't need an all terrain jacket, then this the one for you.

I love it! I am in between sizes so I went with the larger one (L). IT is light weight and warm enough (for this unseasonably warm winter). On colder days I layer a fleece sweater underneath and that's warm enough (and good thing I went with the larger size). Size: great fit. I tried on similar styles (at old navy, h&m) but obviously the fit of the Patagonia is much better. Value: worth it, it will last a long time.

Wonderfully warm and lightweight jacket. The bitter chocolate color is almost more merlot colored -- not what I expected.

I have this jacket in a few different colors from years past and wanted to buy a red one this year to add to my collection. Why do they have an accent color? I would love all red or all orange (not too crazy bright) but the addition of the accent color makes it look like an imitation Patagonia from a discount store. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for next year. BTW, I wear these jackets/sweaters on cool summer nights as well as in the winter.

I wouldn't. I recommend this jacket to everyone!

I am usually a huge fan of Patagonia, this jacket was the exception. Weird fit. Super long arms, not fitted around the waist. I am 5'3, 112lbs, and ordered the xs and it was too big, but in strange places. So I ordered the Marmot jena jacket & love it! It's perfect, just what I was looking for!
