These are the perfect casual sneaker/shoe. Streamlined shape, very comfortable, and nicely supportive. And the the gray color is nicely versatile. I typically wear size 5.5, though for sneakers I'm often a 6, especially in New Balance. So, I ordered a 6, and it fit perfectly.

Best shoe ever! I have bought 5 pairs of these shoes now. I just can't stop! They are narrow and since I have normal feet I do have to go up a half size from 8.5 to 9. That's the only problem with them but they really are perfect. They are not for running or Zumba. I wouldn't use them for anything but walking around shoes.

This is the third pair of 442s that I've had - they're lightweight even though they're leather and I love that they are low on your foot. These are my walking shoes.

I bought these and they are my 3rd pair of NB Classics. These shoes are super comfy and they fit perfect. I wear them to lift weights at the gym, to run and just for regular day to day errands. I love the light grey color too. Awesome shoes!

Most comfortable shoe I have ever had on my foot! I have worn New Balance for over 10 years and found this style to be best for casual wear. The arch support is very good for such a lightweight shoe. It fit exactly as I had hoped it would. I ordered another pair in white.

Fits just right, a true 9. They are not clunky like some athletic shoes and even though they're "classic" they look new and modern. They're discreet shoes - I didn't want neon colored shoes that drew the eye.

I bought these in a size 9 Wide in the grey suede and absolutely love them. I have a hard time finding cute comfortable tennis shoes as I suffer from bunions. I took these to Portugal for 9 days and not only were they super comfortable they also were cute with jeans. They have just enough support to make it 8 hours of walking too and expanded when my feet swelled up from travel. I finally have a cute comfortable pair of hip tennis shoes!

Finding wide shoes that are actually comfortable and fit is always a challenge, but these are a winner! This is actually the second pair I have ordered because they are so great for basic everyday wear!

Very comfortable right out of the box. Felt true to size. Very good walking or standing shoe, not sure if sturdy/supportive enough for playing sports.

This is a very cool and sleek comfortable tennis shoe. The only thing is it seems to run a tad small so maybe get a 1/2 size bigger. Looks great and love the suede! ALSO Zappos is amazing.. they sent out half size bigger as soon as I went online to do an exchange. I got it the next day even though I had not returned my original shoe yet! Excellent customer service!

These shoes are really comfortable and more of a casual shoe than an athletic one. I got the gray ones too.

I wanted a shoe that would be super comfortable for all the walking and standing I do every day but wouldn't look like Working Girl clunky tennis shoes with suits. These go perfectly with all my skinny jeans/pants and still look cute with my skirts and dresses. Love them! (Like all New Balance - they are narrower than some athletic shoes.)

I bought these in an 8 wide, and they are my favorite shoes! I like the low profile after years of wearing larger soled tennis shoes. They are fitted but not tight. I get lots of comments on them, and they somehow look sporty and dressy at the same time. I'm a fan of New Balance shoes, but I'll be buying these again.

I wanted a not so athletic shoe for running errands, to wear w jeans and in a neutral color. These worked out great. Thought the big N would be a problem but saw a similar shoe in a major retailer's catalog for lots more money. Finally I might be cool!

Love these shoes! It took a few days to break them in, at first there was a spot that kind of pinched on one of my feet but after a couple of days they were perfect. Very comfortable, and very cute!

I really like these sneakers. They fit great! Zappos is terrific. If the shoes ordered do not fit, just return them in the same box they came in. You print out the return label and drop them off at your local UPS store at no charge. Knowing that I can return shoes is very important to me because I wear narrow shoes and can be hard to fit. Zappos carries narrow widths and many places no longer do. I love Zappos!

I was looking for a sneaker that I could wear casually, not for working out. I wanted it to be neutral and slim, not too bulky. This fit the bill perfectly! I'm usually a 7.5 or 8, so based on other reviews I got the 8 and they fit perfectly. I agree with others that they fit a long/narrow foot best.

Love at the first try! These will do perfectly for my CNA courses starting next week. The comfort is outstanding, love the retro look.

I'm a teacher and spend all day on my feet. I have to dress to our dress code so sneakers are not allowed, but these New Balance in black don't attract any attention and keep my feet very happy all day long. I have flat feet and have to wear orthotics with everything but my Asics sneakers, they fit in these nicely. Other "girly" sneakers were too narrow to fit the orthotics into. I think for someone with an arch the amount of support they have would be fine. Depending on the shoe I wear a 7 to an 8.5, and I ordered an 8, it fit perfectly.

I bought these shoes for school since I have to have all white tennis shoes for the dental program I'm starting. I really like them! They're slim so your feet don't feel bulky and they are comfortable too.

Great shoes. I like that the sole has a little firmness as compared to other shoes of this type--it's still flexible, but has a little firmness that I need because of a joint problem. Very comfortable for walking about the neighborhood and for light workouts. Did run small compared to other NB I own. I re-ordered a half size up and that was fine.
