My 21 month old has wide feet, but generally has no problem wearing normal width shoes and sandals. I wasn't even able to buckle these around her ankle on the loosest buckle! They are very narrow with short straps. She's pretty average for height/weight as well. Bummer as they're very cute.

Beautiful shoe and design. My children..unfortunately, hate these shoes though. Very hard tough leather like material..they leave blisters and deep red marks on their feet..constantly complain that they feet hurt in them..

Didn't care for the buckles on these. They seemed sharp for my little one's hands.

Not for kids with chubby feet. It was too tight at the ankle, even on the last hole. Also, the holes on the strap at the toes are too far apart. It was either too loose, or too tight, with only changing the buckle by a single hole. We had to return them. Too bad, because they are cute and made of good materials.

Adorable shoes, very comfortable right out of the box. I only wish they had an easier closure for eager/independent toddlers to fasten the shoes themselves. The hardware is so small it's hard for people of all ages to fasten. A hidden velcro strip would be great.

So sad these didn't work for my little granddaughter. I have purchased this brand in the past for her and they worked beautifully. The ankle strap on this pair would not even go around her average sized ankle.

These shoes are absolutely adorable. However, the buckles are not very functional for a toddler. To keep my toddler still long enough to get them adjusted correctly was a struggle. She's petite with a narrow foot so to get the buckle in the correct setting I nearly pinched her skin to get them on. Too much trouble although incredibly cute! Velcro would make them more functional for all!

Super cute - and fit my toddler's foot okay, but the ankle strap was not long enough to buckle. I think her feet are fat for the length because the length was okay - just couldn't buckle it on her foot. Have to return it.

This is a very cute sandal. It fit my daughter very well, straight out of the box & still fits well after wearing it for about a month. However, it looks very worn. I bought this shoe for her to wear to pre-school where she plays on the playgoer. The other reviews had me convinced it would hold up well. At this point, I'm just hoping it makes it till the end of this school year. Maybe we just got a bad pair. I really want this sandal to work out for us.

I so wanted to love these as they are adorable! I also love that it is a simple shoe without the needless frou frou or characters that many kids shoes feature. However, they are not a good shoe for my 19 month old who quickly slammed into the ground when running in them. I think it's probably because they are still a little long on her and she is not used to a 'platform' of any kind - these shoes have a much thicker sole than she's used to. I will try this style again when she is over 2 years old and more sure footed as it is a lovely shoe - just perhaps not ideal for the under 2 set.

I really want to love these. I love the idea. They hold up well, can go in the water. But these buckles are so difficult. I have had previous pairs of these before and it seems the buckles have changed, they are much harder to buckle now. These used to be our summer staples for the kids, next year I think I will look for something that they can take off and put on themselves.

I was so surprised when I received these shoes after all the great reviews. I thought the quality was sub-par. For around the same price Stride-Rite and Clarks make much better shoes. The biggest issue was the buckle on the side. It was so cheap and flimsy I was sure it would break quickly, especially with trying to put them on a 2 year old. It also was attached by small staples! Really bummed out...sticking to other brands even if I have to pay a little more.

These are very cute sandals. The seem quite big as my daughter's size seemed at least a half size too big. The buckles on these sandals seem very cheap and are hard to adjust. They seem like they might break easily. It it weren't for the buckles we would have tried a third time to get the size right.

These were cute and stylish from afar, but close up the “metal buckles” were thin, the shoe material was rough, and the perforated edges hurt my hands (and my daughter’s feet). We weren’t even able to get the shoe on because the edges scratched her skin. I buy all of our family’s shoes from Zappos and these are a no go.

My mom bought these for my 16 month old daughter and while they are super adorable, she cried every time I tried to put them on her. The edges of the straps over the toe are kind of sharp and I guess were digging into her little feet. Unfortunately had to send them back, can't have her crying over sandals and she's too little to "break them in" I think.

We love this brand and is a go to for our summer sandals, but this particular shoe left blisters on both of my toddler's feet near her toes! I think its the design near the toes that is what was too rough and cut into her foot. Sadly, we will have to return.

I felt the leather was way to stiff for my daughters sensitive skin. Returned them.

This is our third year buying these Salt Water sandals, and I'm sad to say that the quality has noticeably declined this year. When I opened the box, the leather seemed stiffer and of poorer quality than in previous years, but I wanted us to give them a try anyway, mostly because I'd rather not invest any more time in my daughter's wardrobe than I have to. The first few times my daughter wore them, she complained of them hurting her, and she ended up with band-aids. We had to "break them in," which we've never had to do with these sandals before. She's now had them for two months, and the leather is still stiff. I found last year's pair and compared the two. Last year's leather is buttery soft, with a soft interior that has a suede feel, no stiffness or sharp edges. This year's leather is stiff and the leather has a bluish tint, and the inside isn't soft. We loved the quality of these sandals in previous years, and I wish that they would have just raised the price a bit instead of gutting the quality. We won't be buying them next year.

I love everything about these sandals except for the buckle! My daughter has pretty small feet, and the strap will only buckle on the the very last setting, leaving a very tiny bit of strap left to tuck into the buckle. Very disappointed that the strap isn't more adjustable...it would have been a great sandal otherwise.

Baffled by the high reviews. The buckles were stiff and way impractical for a 4 year old, and the white sole was kind of big and ugly. I should have paid more attention to the details before ordering but this brand is just so well regarded. Returned.

I really liked these for the first two days but they are already falling apart at the soles. I don't know if I got a defected pair or what!? She wore them about three times outside playing. Nothing crazy either, no dirt or rain... My daughter still loves them so she will wear them as long as she can. Unfortunately I won't be buying another pair of these in the future! Such a bummer!
