I recently had Lasik surgery done on my both eyes and I stopped wearing prescription glasses after 45 years. I am also an avid amateur golfer. So having gone through a series of different sunglasses which did not quite serve the purpose, I bought the Banyans with the lightest tint lens. It works miraculously for depth and contrast, it is lightweight, and is also very sporty for the golf course. Of course, my buddies now also want one. It did not improve my game, but now I can clearly see the bad shots going into the lakes. Hope I don't lose them, like the golf balls.

Clear, crisp lenses, comfortable, secure fit. Great for sports!

This is my second pair of Banyans. You can't beat the sun protection these lenses provide. And the fit on my 8 3/4 giant melon is like no other. They stay put, don't slide down and are lightweight.

I've been wearing Maui Jim sunglasses for years and have replaced them several times because I lose them. This last pair I really like. They give my eyes a cooling affect that makes them very comfortable. I wouldn't wear anything else.

Have been buying Maui Jims since 2006. My husband bought a pair about 2 years ago in Aruba. They were nice but too delicate, and ended up breaking. We paid for a replacement and those broke as well. These Banyan seem more sturdy. So far so good. He is loving them.

Purchased my glasses a few weeks ago. Glasses arrived in (2) days............great fit....love the look.

My are prescription for distance when playing golf. I have worn Maui's for years and these are the best ever.

I've had my Banyan for couple years now and won't wear anything else...Had to have my pair repaired and had it done with no problem..Service from Maui Jim is exceptional and hassle-free...I sent it in for repair of 1 temple replacement but instead they did both sides and even noted scratched lens and replaced that...without additional charge. This is the reason I got two other pairs of Maui Jim glasses...the black coral and Kahuna...Needless to say, I am very, very satisfied with these glasses...the fit and performance is beyond any other pairs that I have owned which included Ray Bans, Revos, Oakleys...Maui Jim surpasses all of them, and you get excellent service and a company that stands by its product...

I just received my third pair of Maui Jim Banyans. Yes, third! I like them so well I have all 3 lens tints! These glasses fit my large face better than anything I've tried, and believe me...I am a sun glass junkie. The lenses themselves...well...they work magic. That's the best phrasing...the HT may be my favorites, as they provide enough shading and glare reduction even on the sunniest days. You cannot do better than these, they are the pinnacle!

Ive had 2 pairs for the last 10 years. Getting my lenses replaced for the first time. Great customer service. Super comfortable. I have sensitive eyes and these are heaven!

These are, hands down, the finest sunglasses I have ever owned. The clarity and color rendition are unbelievable. I love the frame, you don't even know they are on, and they look good both on the professional scene or when out recreating. The lenses wrap around well and keep stray light out. I ordered these with a prescription and Maui Jim delivered a perfect set, no areas of distortion, softness in the corners, nada. Finally, top quality sunglasses for those of us who need prescription eye wear. As a professional photographer who spends many days out in wilderness conditions these are a necessity. I do not travel without them, heck, I won't go out the front door without them on my head.

When you are driving a truck all day having a serious pair of quality sunglasses is a must. The neutral grey is the darkest and the polarized lens block out the ever present sun glaring off of every shiny reflective surface. Until someone invents an active pair of sunglasses that dynamically monitors where your eye is relative to the sun beaming in and actively blocks the blinding light only there... Banyans are the best way to go.

I have worn these amazing sun glasses for 5 years and for many long running races and training. I was going to buy more and then checked on replacement lenses. The replacement took 8 days, such an efficient service, price was great and my glasses are as new. Thanks for the great service.

The Banyans are sporty yet professional! The lens clarity and crisp visual effect is unmatched with competitors. I have owned Oakley and Costas and these glasses are excellent quality and value!

I have three pairs of Maui Jim's - all great. These are by far the best golf sunglasses I have ever owned. You barely realize they are on and the HT lenses provide great contrast regardless of light conditions. No eye strain whatsoever and backed by Maui Jim customer service, which is top notch! Can't go wrong!

These sunglasses are excellent for training. They are extremely light, and they work really well from low light to almost direct sunlight.

Lens coverage is excellent, sharp style, delicate and comfortable fit. Knocking down to four stars because the tri-fold case that comes with the glasses isn't up to par with rest of the brand.

I've invested in Maui Jim for probably 20 years. Best lens I've EVER experienced. Customer service and repairs have been excellent as well. On the Banyans, I'm not a fan of the thick frame at the top because I feel it but it's a minor preference thing.

The lenses are superb and I loved the fit and feel of these on my big noggin - almost no light leaking in at all. Unfortunately the way the bridge comes across onto the lens was just catching my eye, and creating a blurred spot that I felt would become distracting. In the end I opted for the stonecrushers, which aren't quite such a perfect fit on me, but still pretty good and give me a clear field of vision. This is probably just down to my face-shape / eye spacing etc, but would be worth checking before you buy

Great optics and fairly comfortable. These could be a bit lighter though. Also, because the lens and frame have a gap to prevent fogging, the lens tends to rub against the eyebrow. Overall, it's a great pair of sunglasses with great protection in strong sunlight.

Fit for these (Universal Fit) glasses came labelled "Asian Fit".... they work marginally, but was disappointed

It says (UNIVERSAL FIT), B-U-T they came labelled on earpieces as ASIAN FIT; I know there are a lot more of them than us, but NOT what I was expecting! They do work, but feel a little awkward.

I really like the Banyons, but wanted the Tortoise color pictured on the website. Lens & frames pictured are a brown/auburn color. The actual Tortoise lens has no brown at all, more of a black/gray lens. The frame has a slight veining of brown, but more black than brown. Still love the look of the Banyons - wish they were actually the color depicted. Sorry to return.
