Had these for years, finally started to show a scratch or two; ultimately the glasses snapped into two pieces at the bridge as I tried to close arms (and I never placed these in a bag or anything!) Other than that disappointment, they are great for the price. I could wear these all day no problem, barely even adjusting them. They're hard to put on with one hand since they are flimsy, but that's a minor nuisance and trade off for the light weight.

I purchased the gloss black with neutral grey lenses about 3 months ago and overall I do enjoy theses shades. I have a fairly medium sized head and they fit great. They are super lightweight and have a good amount of flexibility to them making them great for outdoor activities. The downfall is actually in the lens, maybe it's my opinion, but the polycarbonate lens just can't compare to the glass, MauiPure, MauiBrilliant, or MauiEvolution lenses in terms of clarity. These still are a great choice if you need something lightweight and a 'sporty' pair of shades for outdoor activities.

I have had my Jim's for about 4 months and I love them. The lenses are the best plastic lens I've owned. The only thing I would change is to make the frames a little stiffer.

I recently purchased these and have tried them now for a few days. Love the lightweight and comfortable nose bridge fit, and the lenses are amazing in the way they filter sunlight and create clarity in strong sunlit conditions. I had my last MJs for about 15 years, hope these last just as long!

I've had and lost/broke many a pair of sunglasses over the past 20 years. This is my latest, and first pair of Maui Jim sunglasses. I'm very happy with them. The optical clarity is second to none, as well as the polarization. They were at the very top of my budget range but once I tried them on vs. everything else at the same price point, there was no question which pair I would be taking home. I've got a high bridge, so many frames don't fit well at all. The Stingray frames do the trick. I wear them in all conditions except for down-pouring rain and dark. The contrast enhancement is apparent in almost any condition. I love them.

I bought this pair of my Maui Jims over a year ago now. Let me start by saying that this is my 4th pair of Maui Jims. With that being said,I love how well these fit my face and how they block out the rays. However, the white frame leaves something to be desired. The white has seemed to fade and now has an off-white tint to them. I will be returning these to see if Maui Jim can fix this.

MJ makes a lot of LIGHT weight sporty shades (Ho'okipa), that are a joy to wear--but these Lighthouses take the cake for LIGHTER than light. You barely feel them with MJ's comfortable sport rubber nose pads. Optics in the Bronze are very nice--the equal of any Bronze polycarb MJs I have tried. However, I bought mine on an impulse at the mall, and I wish I had waited and researched and read these reviews first--this model appears to have some problems with lens cracking in the same place, as reported over and over and over again. Mmmmm, we'll see...! I mean, even though MJ is GREAT about repair service and standing by their warranty, who wants to deal with that. No, no, no. I need my glasses daily, and waiting 2 weeks for repairs on recently puchased sunglasses is a thumbs downer...

I had these glass for several year. Had to send for repair once. One of the lens cracked at the bridge. Within a year or so, same thing happened, but before I could send to have repaired, they snapped in half at the bridge when a small wave on the gulf coast hit me smack in the face. Again, they are wonderful sunglasses, if your not too active and much easier to wear (lighter) than the Costas I had before. I've bought a pair of Ho'okipa Maui Jim. They are not as comfortable as the Lighthouse glasses, but I'm hoping they are more durable.

I see other reviews on here about the lenses cracking near the nose at the top. I have now had two pairs do this, each happening after only about a year. The company doesrepair them for the $10 fee but I'm getting tired of sending them back for this. The quality of the lenses needs to improve.

I've been wearing Maui Jim's Typhoon model for 2 decades. My last pair were in their 5th year when I lost them. That broke my heart, as the Typhoon is no longer offered. The Typhoon's were hands down the finest pair of sunglasses I've ever owned. In the past 3 years, attempting to find a replacement, I've purchased 2 other pairs of Maui Jim's that cost a lot more than the Typhoon, but even though they also have neutral grey lenses, they just do not have the warm, color enhancing properties of those of the Typhoon. I assumed the difference was that they were plastic lenses which were, unlike the Typhoon's glass lenses, not gradient. In a third attempt to replace the Typhoons, I purchased this pair of Stingrays. They are comfortable and look great, but the lenses are not the same as the Typhoon's. They are less warm and the gradients are not as dark, so sunlight from above or reflected off of water is not attenuated as much. I also think that the polarization of the lenses is not quite as effective at reducing glare as those of the Typhoon's. These are fine sunglasses and better than many others I've tried including the pricier Maui models. Had I not had the Typhoons to compare these with I would have rated them 5 stars.

I like the look and functionality of these glasses but they are very heavy. The nose piece digs into the bridge of my nose and could use some extra type of cushioning. I have purchased at least 10 pairs of Maui Jim glasses over the years and have love all of them. This model is my least favorite.

I bought 2 weeks ago! Happy with fit, look and comfort. Only 2 issues I really have was expecting to be more clear view with blue lense and don't care for the arms to bend down around my ear. What I mean it that when putting on the clarity is brownish tint and not brighter blue look like I have with my Costa glasses G500 lense. What I mean with arms bending around ear is I prefer the straight back past my ear and not bend around. Besides that enjoy the comfort.

I have owned a pair of Maui stingray for over 10years now and love the wrap arounds , thought I would try the preahi as I like the blue mirror looking lenses . But the glasses are a bit big on the face and causes swear to stay on the lenses around the cheeks. Overall nice glasses would of rather the sting rays in black mat frames with blue mirror lenses. Overall the purchasing online and timely delivery and customer service that Maui Jim had was amazing experience

I bought this a month ago and broke twice. First the nose pad broke while wipping the lens. The second one the frame broke off and the screw still attached to it. Sunglass was made very light weight materials but flimsy. I am sending it back

I love the lightness of the glasses and the flexibility of the frames, but the lenses always crack where they attach to the frame by the nose piece. I'm about to send them in to be repaired. Unfortunately out of warranty.

I really enjoy wearing my MJ Lighthouse sunglasses, however the bridge also has broken a few times on me. these need lots of TLC, I wish they made a carbon bridge.

However just sent them back to repair, lens separated at the bridge, lens cracked slightly. I'm not sure this style will hold together for the long haul... but I called maui jim, they told me to send them in for repair, sent today April 17, I'll let you know if they fix them. This rating moves to five stars if they do.

I bought these in Feb of 2013. I have had to send them back for repairs three times. I'm a casual user and careful with them. As reviewers have stated, the frames are pretty flimsy, not durable as the description says. The first time the earpiece broke near the hinge . The second time, the lens cracked where it connects to the bridge. The third time, the bridge broke in the middle. The repairs have been quick and under the warranty but I'm worried that they'll break again when the warrant is up and I'll be out of luck. I really like the glasses. I just wish they held up.

I tried these on in a store to be sure they were the ones I wanted and maybe they were from another year, but when I got them in the mail I was disappointed. they are the most expensive cheap looking sunglasses. I haven't even worn them.

I would give these glasses 6 stars(out of 5) if it wasn't for the cracking. The lenses have now cracked twice by the nose bridge. I am sending them back again to be replaced. Otherwise I absolutely LOVE these glasses.

I agree with the previous review. These glasses were bought for me as a gift two months ago. I am always exstremely careful that they are put back in the hard case when I am not wearing them since they were expensive and a special gift. But to my disappointment I have found cracks in both lenses at the nose bridge. I love these glasses but totally disappointed that they do not perform well.

I bought these glasses 1 1/2 years ago and have already had the lenses repaired twice because the lens cracked at the bridge connection. I am extremely careful with my glasses, use them only for golf, and place them back in their hard case after the game. And, I only use them 6 months of the year. This is my 3rd pair of Maui Jim glasses (different styles), so obviously I love their glasses---just very disappointed in the quality of this style.

So here is the truth: they are nice, feel great, solid visibility, etc. But the lenses needed replacing almost immediately and the bridge also cracked way too easily. They are NOT durable.

I find it baffling that a device made to improve your view of the images of the world has a gradient of changing density on the lenses. So when you walk or look around the density of the images changes because there is a gradient on the lenses. It's very unnatural. I know that some sunglass have this. I have never owned a pair and am puzzled as it is not natural and distracting every step or head turn up or down the picture density slightly changes. If you work with images or are very aware of images you will notice it
