I bought these glasses 1 1/2 years ago and have already had the lenses repaired twice because the lens cracked at the bridge connection. I am extremely careful with my glasses, use them only for golf, and place them back in their hard case after the game. And, I only use them 6 months of the year. This is my 3rd pair of Maui Jim glasses (different styles), so obviously I love their glasses---just very disappointed in the quality of this style.

Very comfortable and cool even in Bright day @ 45 degree sunny day. Great look and impressive. Good value for money.

Hands down best sunglasses I ever owned. Wasn't a wire sunglasses fan until these. Like wearing nothing!!! Awesome!!

However just sent them back to repair, lens separated at the bridge, lens cracked slightly. I'm not sure this style will hold together for the long haul... but I called maui jim, they told me to send them in for repair, sent today April 17, I'll let you know if they fix them. This rating moves to five stars if they do.

Bought this one some days ago here in Switzerland. My old one was broken so i just toke this one in a professional store. What a surprise! The best one i ever had!

I HAVE BEEN WEARING MAUI JIM STINGRAYS FOR THE LAST 8-10 YEARS. I HAD ONE PAIR LEFT, LENSES PITTED, FRAMES NEEDED HELP, SO I SENT THEM TO MAUI FOR REPLACEMENT PARTS. LEFT MY HOME IN NEWPORT ON 3-30 AND GOT THEM BACK YESTERDAY4-8...WOW, WHAT I GOT WAS BEYOND MY EXPECTATIONS...A BEAUTIFUL NEW PAIR FOR A SMALL SERVICE CHARGE...THIS IS THE FIRST REVIEW I'VE EVER LEFT!!! NEEDLESS TO SAY I OVERWHELMED WITH MAUI JIM'S PROFESSIONAL APPROACH TO CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I LOVE THEM.....THESE LENSES ARE REMARKABLE....THANK YOU, JEFF G

I've had and lost/broke many a pair of sunglasses over the past 20 years. This is my latest, and first pair of Maui Jim sunglasses. I'm very happy with them. The optical clarity is second to none, as well as the polarization. They were at the very top of my budget range but once I tried them on vs. everything else at the same price point, there was no question which pair I would be taking home. I've got a high bridge, so many frames don't fit well at all. The Stingray frames do the trick. I wear them in all conditions except for down-pouring rain and dark. The contrast enhancement is apparent in almost any condition. I love them.

I've had my Maui Jim's for a couple years now and I still have nothing but good things to say about them. I put them on and get an instant feeling of eye strain/glare relief. (like a big sigh from my eyes) Awesome. I had them for a year and they fell down the side of the couch hide-a-bed and got a scratch right where in the center of the lens. took them bo my optometrist (perscription), he sent them back to MJ and three weeks later I had a brand new pair on my face, free of charge. They won my continued bussiness at that moment.

I bought this pair of my Maui Jims over a year ago now. Let me start by saying that this is my 4th pair of Maui Jims. With that being said,I love how well these fit my face and how they block out the rays. However, the white frame leaves something to be desired. The white has seemed to fade and now has an off-white tint to them. I will be returning these to see if Maui Jim can fix this.

More than 2 years usage believe me, I do forget that I putting them on. Very light and incredible lenses. I love the polarize technology Maui Jim offer, these are the best polarized lenses I have ever seen compared to more expensive brands.

I did buy one MJ SPORT-Lighthouse two years ago and used it all the time in Goa's hot, bright & sultry weather. It protected my eyes like an eye-specialist. I broke its one temple when I sat over it unknowingly over a hard garden bench. Just yesterday I replaced it with a new same one. Amazingly Maui Jim gave a huge discount for this replacement even the mistake was mine and it was two years old! Specto Opticals, Panaji, Goa, arranged this replacement with perfect customer care. I found this glass (dark-black) is just perfect from morning till evening for bright-sunny region.

Bought these for fishing and other sport activities. Optics is awesome! You can easily see under water surface. Green lens is also nice when there isn't straigh sunlight. And weight is so light! I almost forget i'm wearing glasses at all. Best glasses i've ever had!

So here is the truth: they are nice, feel great, solid visibility, etc. But the lenses needed replacing almost immediately and the bridge also cracked way too easily. They are NOT durable.

Love them. Still like new after 16 months, and use them every day. Bronze lens, flat black frames, the fit is outstanding. They don't give me headaches. The spring hinges work great. They stay on my face without slipping off while working. I am a tradesman house painter and need the best UV protection but not too dark of a lens. These are super durable, though they are 200oz so they tend to slip off your head if you place them up on top of your melon when not using them. A strap would stop this. The best thing about them I found is over spray or paint drops wipes straight off easy with metho without damaging the coating or lens. I like them so much I just purchased M/J world Cup HT266 for driving glasses. 5 out of 5 all round.

MJ makes a lot of LIGHT weight sporty shades (Ho'okipa), that are a joy to wear--but these Lighthouses take the cake for LIGHTER than light. You barely feel them with MJ's comfortable sport rubber nose pads. Optics in the Bronze are very nice--the equal of any Bronze polycarb MJs I have tried. However, I bought mine on an impulse at the mall, and I wish I had waited and researched and read these reviews first--this model appears to have some problems with lens cracking in the same place, as reported over and over and over again. Mmmmm, we'll see...! I mean, even though MJ is GREAT about repair service and standing by their warranty, who wants to deal with that. No, no, no. I need my glasses daily, and waiting 2 weeks for repairs on recently puchased sunglasses is a thumbs downer...

Crashed my mountain bike on 12/3 by hitting a thin layer of sand on concrete surface in a sharp curve. My head hit the surface while going about 20 mph. My face, just above right eye, hit first. My MJ's saved my eye. Severe scratching, but no break, of right lens. Glasses broke in middle frame connection. I fear that my Oakley's, with more plastic, may have caused severe face injury. I am so glad I was wearing my MJ's during this accident. I will get another pair as soon as I see some sale prices in the area.

Great sunglasses. The best for glare protection. I never see glare on the inside of my sunglasses. Use the glasses with a leash and never go out without your Maui Jims. The best part about Maui Jims is the service that you receive. All I can say is that they stand behind their sunglasses. So rest assured that if you have a problem they will fix them at a fair price. If not under warranty !!!

I had these glass for several year. Had to send for repair once. One of the lens cracked at the bridge. Within a year or so, same thing happened, but before I could send to have repaired, they snapped in half at the bridge when a small wave on the gulf coast hit me smack in the face. Again, they are wonderful sunglasses, if your not too active and much easier to wear (lighter) than the Costas I had before. I've bought a pair of Ho'okipa Maui Jim. They are not as comfortable as the Lighthouse glasses, but I'm hoping they are more durable.

I bought these about 3 years ago to replace another pair of Maui Jim's that I lost. These sunglasses have been everything I could have wanted in them. Very comfortable. I can wear them for many hours with no fatigue. The bronze lenses are phenomenal in durability and optics. Clarity is superior. I have (unfortunately) dropped them a few times on hard ground with not a scratch to the lenses. The frames are made in ITALY and the quality shows. I am extremely happy with the Stingray and will buy another pair of Maui's when the time comes.

Even with impeccable care, the coating at the top and bottom of the lenses will rub/scratch off. This makes them look horrible and distorts your view. I already sent them back once due to this problem and it just happens again, even from keeping them in the case or bag they came with. I was told that the lenses have to be plastic and must also have the coating to accommodate the prescription. As if this was not enough, one of the lenses is now coming out and will not pop back in (some type of frame distortion???). A very expensive pair of sunglasses and even more with the prescription added and they did not last long. I would personally not feel good about selling a product like this. Back to Ray Bans.

I am a big fan of these glasses. They are light weight and flexible, although it takes a bit getting used to putting them on because the frame flexes so much. I dropped them a lot until I bought a lanyard but even through all the falls the lenses are no worse for wear! After almost a year of wear the bridge did snap and they are in for repair, but I can't wait to get them back! Definitely worth my money.

I have these glasses in flat black with HCL Bronze lens - they are great glasses in fit and finish. The lenses are so good in all light that I wear them on cloudy days and often find myself wearing them until its almost dark. I dropped them hard once and cracked a lens - the service was fast and free and the glasses came back tuned and perfect. What a rare experience!

I bought my first pair of Maui Jim's this year for my trip to Tanzania to climb Mt Kilimanjaro. I bought the Stingray with prescription lenses and they are a fantastic pair of sunglasses. They are lightweight which is important when trekking for hours and I had all the sun protection I needed on the mountain. Now that I am home these have become my go to sunglasses and when you live in Las Vegas good Sunglasses is a must. What I really appreciate is that even with prescription you get Maui Jim lenses and technology and not some eyeglass store generic replacement lens.

You can see by other reviews that these glasses are great. This is more about the service. WOW, a company that cares about customers. A rare occasion. I recently sent my new pair in for lens replacement as they fell off my head and cracked on the table I was sitting at. I fully anticipated paying for the replacement but was amazed that the only charge was processing fee. They actually appreciated that this customer had just purchased the glasses and had an unfortunate accident. THANK YOU.

I have four pairs of Wiley X's and these Maui's are just light years ahead. Best fit, super solid construction, the ultimate in looks, and the best optics around. I actually sat on them once when my friend "passed" them to me from the back seat, they did not break!!!! These are great for fishing!! They really block out the transmission of light from the side. I fish on Lake Erie and the Niagara River and these are the deal. Trust me!!! They were stolen from me and now I'm buying a new pair!!
