The problem with these shoes is typical of wide-width shoes. I need the extra width in the forefoot, but I have a normal size heel. The front of the shoe fits great, but the straps just fall off of the back of my heel. Very few manufacturers seem to grasp the fact that a woman needing a "wide" shoe does't need the ENTIRE shoe to be wide....just the forefoot!

I have a narrow foot in size 11 and I had so hoped that these pretty shoes would fit. Unfortunately, they were so wide that I double checked the size printed on the inside of the shoe. They were, indeed, size 11 N.

Like many of the other reviewers, I found the shoe to have problems with the length. While the actual base of the shoe was the proper length, the strap (even at it's smallest setting) was much too large for me. Going a size smaller would likely have been too short for my foot. While I could have probably added an extra hole, I didn't love the shoes that much.

Unfortunately I have to return this shoe. The heel strap was too long for my heel, even having the buckle in the last hole, causing my heel to come out of the shoe when I walked. That being said, I really did like this shoe! It was very comfortable, fit appropriately in the foot bed and toe. My foot fit it appropriately, which is hard for me to find. That pesky strap was just about 1/4 inch too long to secure it to my foot. I do not work outside the home and only need a heeled shoe occasionally. This would work well with dress slacks, skirts or dresses. A few other reviews have mentioned that it is not a stylish or attractive, somewhat "grandma-like". While you won't see this shoe on the fashion runway; if you have a hard-to-find shoe size and need a proper fitting comfortable shoe this one may do the trick. I wear a 10 1/2 in a dress flat, 11M in a tennis shoe and an 11N in any kind of dress shoe so I've kind of figured out that sometimes fit has to win over fashion.

I really wanted these sandals to work out! Alas they are too small. I usually wear somewhere between an 11 & a 12. I ordered a 11W & a 12W. The 12W was even too small. Too short, but it did feel like it could have been true to width. I loved the way these looked, I had ordered the back patent. I thought they would be great for work, but if they don't fit, it won't help! Good luck, hope other people have better luck!

I really wanted these to work, and this was my second try. The first pair had small rubbed-off areas: on the heel, and side edge of one shoe. This one has a bit of dark glue (I think it is) showing on the side edge of the shoe, right before the straps. Not nice. I'd say the quality of the finishing on this shoe is questionable. The fit is comfortable across the foot. If anything, this 8.5 W (D) runs a tiny bit wider than expected in the very front of the toe, the strap there pulls up a little since my toes don't completely fill the area. If you look at the photo this doesn't show at all, out of the box you can see the middle of the front strap is higher than the rest of the strap. It is attractive on, the color is modern and interesting, kind of a rose gold in tone. The strap may rub a tiny bit on the inner edge of the area where the other straps cross over and meet the side strap, if you have sensitive feet (I do). I only walked a bit in them to see how they might work...but instead of exchanging yet again, I'm done for now. I may return to buy these next summer, they seem to have been in the line for a few years. Maybe the quality will have improved by then.

Could not keep strap on heel

The shoes were exchanged for a 1/2 size larger. The fit was a little short yet comfortable, easy to wear from the outset. I would order another pair without hesitation. This was my first experience w/Zappos. I found this company to be most helpful with the easy return process. I had the exchanged for pair of shoes the next day after my inquiry. A nice surprise to get such good response.

I liked the shoe but needed a wide, however the design of the heel strap is terrible, slips down just trying them on.

Like in other reviews, the back strap was not tight enough. My entire foot slipped out of it.

This is such a cute shoe; I only wish they had worked out. I ordered these for my daughter and lo, and behold the reviews about the heel strap being too long/loose are absolutely true. It's really odd that the shoe is true to size and width, but that the heel strap is way too long. There was a good half inch between the strap and her heel. The heel of the shoe flop with each step, like they were flip-flops. Punching another hole in the strap to tighten it out of the question, because the strap widens. I hated to do it, but I sent them back.

I wanted to love these sling back shoes but it seems in this brand and style, I'm a size 8.25. That is, the size 8 was just too small in the front (not wide enough) but the strap around the back of my heel fit perfectly. Then the size 8.5 fit perfectly in the front (wide enough) but the foot bed was too long as was the strap around the back. I suppose I could poke another hole in the strap but there was a good inch behind my heel, showing that the shoe was really too big. It's a shame. FYI, I'm a double wide and ordered the WW width. Unfortunately, both sizes are going back.

I really wanted to keep these, but unfortunately the heel strap just wasn’t going to stay put. I’m a really fast walker (I live in NYC) and after testing these in my living room, the strap just wouldn’t stay up. If they had a top strap as well, I would have kept these.

I couldn't make up my mind on these. The only ones they had in my (giant) size was cork and I was concerned the cork was not going to hold up over time. Also, I'm here to tell you if you are cursed with 10.5 size feet like I am, going to 11 is not going to work unless you have some way to punch additional holes in the strap.. they were too big for sure. I like this classic style but have a sneaking suspicion they are kind of frumpy. They are going back.

I ordered the silver. the comfort and width were great; however, the strap in back was not tight enough even on the last notch and kept slipping off so I returned them.

I have a narrow foot and these shoes are definitely not a AA narrow. They felt more like a B width. I think they had the wrong description. A very pretty shoe tho and so I wish I could have kept them. I tried another pair just in case they were mismarked but they were the same. I'm 65 and petite.

I love the look and they did fit, even my size 6 WW that hardly ever fits correctly. The only problem is the seam at the toe area hits right at the ball of my foot and it is very uncomfortable. If that was not there I would love them. These were the ones that look like cork, I don't know if others would be the same.

I have these exact sandals in a metallic beige and I love them. Comfortable right out of the box, easy to walk around in (for heel amateurs like me). And I loved how the floral design looked but they felt completely different! The floral design is very stiff and plasticy. The straps were very stiff and dug into my skin and the stitching on the insole (which never bothers me on the beige sandals) was very prominent and scratchy. I tried walking around my living room and I wanted to love them but they were just far too uncomfortable by comparison to the other color options. Sadly returned. But I still highly recommend the non-floral options of these sandals!

Tried them in AA, but definitely not so narrow!

I ordered the 7.5 wide in the almond dynasty. These were fairly comfortable, however, the strap going across the top of my foot puckered and stuck up funny and looked really odd. Perhaps my foot wasn't tall enough to fill it out...it clearly looked like the shoe didn't fit me correctly. This may not be a problem in the regular width and may not be a problem if your foot is wide all over...I have a very wide but very bony foot, so sometimes the wide width doesn't fit correctly on the rest of my foot.

If there were additional holes on the strap to pull the shoe on tighter, it wouldn't fall off my foot. Thank you!

I love the look of these shoes and they are mostly comfortable but the heel strap comes too low and there is some bunching of the straps across the toes. Sadly I could not wear them.

They’re cute, they have arch support, nice cushioned insole. I’m 10.5 W and the 10W was just too small and the 11 too big. Bummer. 10.5 W please! There’s enough of us out there to buy them.
