I purchased this backpack for my 13 year old daughter and it is perfect. The material is very sturdy, it has two main compartments for her to separate books and binders plus several other well thought out space features. We have bought several backpacks over the years none of which have withstood the test of time. This backpack at first glance looks and feels like it will be around for a while. Lastly, my daughter loves the sophisticated hip look of the material.

I bought this backpack for my 14 year old granddaughter. She loves it! She carries a huge binder and text books around all day and this backpack is large enough to fit it all with room to spare, without looking bulky. She loves the pattern and style of the bag and finds it comfortable to carry.

I bought this backpack for my daughter who is in middle school. It is very cute and seems durable. There are a lot of compartments to help organzie her things. She loves it.

Love this bag! It is not as big as some other backpacks but the design is beautiful. I also love the laptop sleeve inside.

I absolutely adore this backpack. I am currently a full time college student commuting to school and I needed a bag that would be sturdy, comfortable, and versatile. This bag is absolute perfection. It can hold about 3 average sized textbooks (maybe more or less depending on the size), a 3 subject notebook, and my laptop comfortably. It has plenty of compartments, including a mesh water bottle holder on the side and a insulated front pocket which is perfect place to put a snack or even your lunch so you do not have to fumble with a lunch bag all day. I have packed this bag to the max and the straps still provide plenty of support and comfort. I ordered my bag in the color River Rock and get complimented frequently. All in all this bag is win! I would definitely recommended this bag for girls both in high school and college. Thanks Dakine for making such a reliable bag and thank you Zappos for offering such great service.

Great space! Can fit all textbooks and a 3 inch binder - that was a concern. Like the pockets. Very happy with this backpack.

I got this backpack for high school and it works great! I can easily fit everything I need in it. The straps are nice and supportive making heavy loads comfortable. I got the style Flourish and have gotten many compliments on it. Totally worth the money.

I bought my daughter a Dakine backpack 3 years ago for school and it hasn't worn a bit. It washes nicely and still looks new! She wants a new style even though the one she has is in perfect condition. Highly recommend!

I purchased this backpack for a couple simple reasons, one I absolutely loved the color and pattern! And two, the prom backpack could hold more than the other Dakine backpacks. At first I did not really like the look as much as the others but knowing that this backpack could hold more than the others I decided to give it a try as I am a ninth grader now and need the extra room. To my surprise when I received the bag it was one, more stylish than I had originally imagined. Two It was even bigger than I thought! The one thing I was a little sad about was the color is bit darker than picture proceeds it as. But all in all it is well worth a try!

This pack was purchased for my 13-year-old for 8th grade. I read all the reviews and this seemed to be larger for several books but not too long for her body (she's 5'3"). She chose the dylon color. I thought that one was going to be ugly, but it was her decision. I was pleasantly surprised. Yes, it is plaid and a little loud, but nicely coordinating with the zippers and straps. The pack is well made and it's comfortable on her back. She says it feels much better than last year's LL Bean, so I consider this a win purchase.

This bag is a great size for my lifeguarding gear. It is lightweight and fits well.

This is a very good quality backpack that fits all my school supplies and books as well as my 17" laptop.

I just got this backpack in the mail and words can not describe how exited I was to open this! This backpack is exactly what I need to start college. There are numerous pockets and spaces to store just about anything you can think of. I can fit all of my major textbooks, 13" laptop, and a few notebooks. There is also lots of space for pencils, pens, calculators, and other essentials. It is so stylish and definitely not a backpack that you will see all over campus or wherever you go. It has super comfortable shoulder straps that adjust perfectly. All around one of the best products that I have ever bought.

I ordered a book bag from Zappos and the next day I got it. I couldn't believe how fast it came. I'm very happy with my bag.

Overall I really like this bag. The straps are very comfortable on my shoulders, and there is some padding on the back as well. I can easily fit my laptop, 1 textbook, and a 1 1/2 inch binder in the main compartment, but I don't think anything else will fit with everything I have in the front pockets as well. I love the compartment at the front that has insulation, it fits a nice sized water bottle and my lunch, and it stays cool for a long time. I only wish there were more organizer pockets, because with my wallet, glasses case, cell phone, ipod, sunglasses, and a whole lot more little stuff, I wish there were more dedicated places to put them. I would really love a key-clip, but I have made the amount work. I would definitely buy this bag again, but it seems to be built so well I don't know if I ever will need another!

This backpack is very cute and seems to be well made. My daughter is very slight, and this sits on her well and distributes weight nicely. It has nice padding for comfort. I also like the side pouches for water bottles, etc. It has a pull cord to contain whatever size bottle is used. The only thing I wish it had is that the middle compartment area were deeper. It pretty much stops where you see the zipper, rather than go down to the bottom. However, perhaps this design is what allows it to be so comfortable and distribute weight nicely, so I'll take the trade off.

Stitching is a little poor and wish there was a deeper 1st pocket. Otherwise my daughter loves it.

After 2 years it's starting to fall apart. Duck tape on the bottom from holes developing. Kind of sad - I thought it would last longer...but I'm not sure what the life expectancy is on a back pack anymore? If you are fine with this, it's a pretty bag that is on the smaller side so high school kids with laptops and binders won't have room for lunch unless you use a very flat container.

Very well made and awesome form fitting straps but compartments are small. Only the large zipper part is big enough for books and the side pockets are not sufficient for a water bottle. Adorable style but just not well planned to stash a lot of stuff (lunch, etc).
