In my mid-40's now, I have spent my entire adult life with kid sized 2 feet. When people see this, they almost always mention that I'm lucky because I can buy cheaper shoes in the kids department. What they don't realize is that many times those shoes offer no arch support, are poorly made, are decorated with "Strawberry Shortcake" on them or kid like color combinations, or silly environmentally damaging blinking lights in the heels, etc. In short, most kid sized shoes are made for kids. I have a plethora of kid sized 'tennis shoes/sneakers' in my closet, none of them comfortable, none of them allowing my feet to breathe. That said, I am not a big shopper for shoes and I had never heard of the Tsukihoshi brand until I absolutely needed to find a pair or work out shoes and logged in at Zappos. After reading the reader reviews I thought I would give them a try, free shipping both ways to try them on was a great deal. Marvelous discovery! They fit like they should, are comfortable, look adult like enough, and clean up like a charm. I'm hooked! The size 2 fit perfectly, I like the colors, I don't mind the velcro so much because the fake laces are there (granted, if you are used to cinching up your laces for a tighter fit, this shoe will not do that), they let my feet breathe. They are also very lightweight. This shoe is a winner!

This is a great shoe but it runs really big. My daughter normally wears a 4 (4.5 in athletic shoes) and we ended up going a full size smaller for the correct fit. In my 10-year-old's words "They are so amazingly comfortable." Also very easy to slip on and off without crushing the heel. We also ordered the next size up so she would have a pair for the spring.

My daughter has super sensitive feet, can\'t stand seams in socks, etc. These shoes are smooth on the inside, and she doesn\'t mind wearing them at all. They are supportive enough that she can wear them for a full day of walking. They breathe really well, and are machine washable. She is on her 3rd or 4th pair.

This is the second pair of Tsukihoshi tennis shoes I\'ve purchased for my daughter. I bought her a pair at the beginning of school last year and they lasted the entire year! They\'re also so comfortable she won\'t wear anything else. Great shoe and well worth the money. Love that they can be thrown in the washing machine!

My daughter picked out the shoes, I had never heard of them but they made her happy. They wore so well and did not show the dirt many others do. I was very satisfied with the purchase. Recently my daughter was in an accident, these shoes saved her foot. There was little left of the top of the shoe, but the firm base kept her foot from being crushed. She can't walk yet, but we have already purchased another pair!! Thankful for this great shoe!

Beautiful sneakers, my granddaughter that is 7 years loves them. They look gorgeous on her, very soft and comfortable!

My twin daughters both love these sneakers. They are comfortable, machine washable, and last! I haven't purchased any other brand since I found these on Zappos. Be warned however, that they run a little big, so I would order 1/2 size down. With free shipping at Zappos it's no problem!

This is a great sneaker! I purchased it for my 7 year old daughter in a 3.5 (true to size). Very comfortable and easy for her to get on and off with the Velcro closure (she has autism and fine motor issues so laces are a problem for her). The silver/pink color is adorable. Highly recommend this shoe.

My daughter loves all things purple so we ordered a variety of different gym shoes to try on. She is in 1st grade and loves these for two reasons. 1. the stylish laces makes her think they are "big kid" shoes (although they actually close with 1 velcro strap) and 2. these shoes are really light weight! I held them up in comparison with my son's prek tennis shoes - these are light as a feather! I can tell they are very comfortable! They seem to fit true to size.

My daughter loves these shoes, so we just keep ordering them in different colors as her feet grow. They are easy to put on and very comfortable. The velcro makes it easy for her to put on and I don't need to worry about the laces coming untied.

Everyone says this shoe runs big, I didn't find that at all. My daughter wears orthotics and with the orthotic in, the size 3 did not fit, but it did fit in the Stride Rite pair we ordered. It did run wide, though.

Awesome comfortable shoes for my growing 10 years old. She has been wearing the Tsukihoshi brand since she was in 1st grade, but I couldn't find her size locally - yeah Zappos! These shoes run a little wide and are super light, flexible and comforatable from day 1.

My daughter wore this shoe until she grew out of it after 4 months. No problem w/foot odor(it has been a big issue with other brands). She has not worn this shoe out yet. This shoe was true to size although other reviewers stated that it was larger than stated. This shoe was a great find for my 7 y/o daughter .

Nice shoe. My daughter has been wearing this shoe for at least a month now and it seems to be doing well. Love the silver and pink, color matches the picture well. And true to size.

Got this for my six year-old and she seems to like them a lot. Yes, they run big but they still were wearable. I haven't put them in the wash but looking forward to doing that.

My daughter (7) loves this shoe, and we are on our third pair of the same exact color. She outgrows shoes every six months and this is the sneaker we've had for the last 3 cycles. They are comfortable, a touch wider than other sneakers and never smell. She also loves the silver and pink combo - a little girly, a little flashy, but not overly so. I recommend Tsukihoshi to lots of folks, especially those with boys who complain of smelly shoes.

A great shoe - we've ordered this brand and this specific shoe multiple times - my daughter loves them, and they last! She outgrows them before she wears them out - they wear very well. I cannot remember how the size is compared to other shoes; I believe they run a little big - dress shoes I've recently bought for her for a half to one size larger. Zappos is great though - always free exchange for another size (or just a refund) - we've used Zappos for a long time and never had problems when we've had to return items.

Love, love, love these shoes! Very cute and different. But, also very lightweight and washable! Went down a size from normal and fits perfectly.

My daughter loves theses sneakers! She has a wide foot and a thick instep, so trying to find her sneakers and shoes that fit is a horrible ordeal. Thank goodness I found Zappos. These sneakers are true to size, the width is bigger to begin with, so I didn't need to order the wide size. They are cute, comfortable, and durable. I will buy this brand consistently from now on!

My daughter loves these shoes. They are very light and comfortable. As the website suggests these run half size bigger. Her size is 3 and we got 2.5, and they fit her comfortably.

My daughter loves these sneakers. She thinks they are very comfortable, and flexible. She has a pencil thin foot, but is still able to wear them. They are definitely cut for a wider foot, but you can pull the velcro tighter across the arch to make them snugger. I think they are true to size, she measures a size 13-13.5 and the 13 fit her fine in the length.

A fantastic pair of sneakers. Well worth the money. Easy on\/off. Very roomy. Love the half size option (not available in most kids shoes). Love the fact that they are machine washable. Wish they came in a few more color choices.
