These are my uniform - I live in them. Super stylish, comfortable, and utterly, totally waterproof. The insoles can be removed for a tighter or looser fit. If I have one tiny complaint it's that I have a very, very high instep and for the first few months there's pressure on the top of my foot until these very stiff boots stretch a bit. Trust me - I have a higher instep than you do. Don't ever stop making these or I'll have to go barefoot!

Blundstones run very small for me. I’m typically between a size 8 and 9 and I need a 10 in Blundstones, and I have very flat, skinny feet. I haven’t tried a 10 yet so I’m hoping it won’t be too big, but I tried this style in a 9.5 and the high top style in both a 9 and 9.5 and they were all too short. Hope this helps someone.

I just got these, so I can't comment on durability, but I can talk about fit. Measure your feet and go by what Blundstone says for that. The size conversions are not right. I suspected this when it was made very clear that half sizes were only wider, yet had me getting a half size to fit my normally US size 7.5. I got both the recommended 4.5 and the 5 that they say is a few millimeters shorter than my foot, but the next size up was quite a bit bigger so I started there. The 4.5 was snug, which wasn't necessarily bad as the leather would stretch, but after a few minutes the balls of my feet started cramping up. The 5 was roomy and I put the insert in and it was perfect.
My big complaint with these shoes is the obnoxious branding. I will take a sharpie to it (or maybe just sew some black fabric over the tags?), but it is ridiculous and companies need to stop doing this. If they want us to advertise for them- which in the case of Blundstones is false advertising, as they are made in Vietnam, NOT Tasmania- these boots should be free.

Typically a size 13 in all shoes, these felt a bit too large, even after putting in the additional foot beds. I wore them right out of the box for a week long trip to Holland. After walking about 60 miles all over the different cities, my feet felt awesome. I will definitely buy another pair!

Blundstone sizing is interesting. I bought the 558 and the 587 in the 9.5. The 587 felt longer and wider. The 558 was a bit tighter in the ankle and I feared that my foot would go forward too much in it. I even ordered the size 10 but it was a boat. So....I ended up keeping the 558 and keeping my fingers crossed that I had broken it in enough in the house before I tried going outside. Interesting that there was such a significant difference between the 558 and the 587 (Rustic Brown). The 587 is incredibly comfortable (even with long walks) and I am hoping that the 558 will be as well.

I adore my old brown suede 550's and have dreamed about a pair in black for some time. I read a ton of reviews and kept reading about high arches being a problem. I have very high arches and I was not sure what the problem could be, but now I see..The tops of my feet..where a strap would come across, ached with the new, firm boots. It was better the second day with some amount of breaking them in, but I was still aware of the feeling of pressure. I took a break for a few days and I am sure when I wear them again, it will be better.
I do like them, they look great, tolerated a NYC rainy day and were not too difficult to get on and off. My daughter reminds me that our beloved old 550's also took some breaking in, a fact that I had forgotten since they have since become my most comfortable and reliable shoe ever !!
I am a true 7.5 med width and these fit perfectly. If you are a wide, you will need more space for sure as my feet are not narrow and I wore thinner socks than I wear with my old 550's. I do not ever see wearing thick boot socks with these, will never be that stretched out. My next pair will be back to the sueded type as I think that they lend themselves to the comfort that I have come to expect form my Blundstones..

Don't ignore the advice in the reviews: buy three different sizes to figure out what works best for your feet. After finding the size that fit best lengthwise, I used the included liners to help the boot fit better in terms of width and height. With the liner and SmartWool light padding socks, these now fit perfectly! I wore them all day the first day with no blisters or pain. I'm wearing them again on day 2 just to walk around the house to help soften them up. They don't require a break-in period, per se, but they are a bit stiff. I'm not sure if that stiffness will fade over time or if it's just the nature of the boot. Time will tell... Overall, these are great boots. Love wearing them with jeans and sweatshirts and love knowing that puddles, snow, mud, etc. won't be the end of them.

I ordered this BL558 due to great reviews, as well as the Sam Edelman Jaclyn boots. Very similar boots and wanted to try on both. The Blundstone was a "no" from the get go. They looked great, right out of the box. I had ordered a size 10, I normally wear a 9-10 depending on shoe. I know the reviews said they ran small, but a 10 was all that was in stock. I could not even get my foot into it, to try it on. Back they went to Zappos, and I kept the other pair.

Love the boots. I'm in between sizes slightly but for me they felt pretty close to my size with a tiny bit of room to spare. Blundstone recommends that you try to get the length of the shoe as close as possible to your size. When you put them on, you should be able to slide a finger between your Achilles tendon and the inside
back edge of the boot. If you like a slightly more snug fit, Blundstone includes and additional foot pad to help with that. Keep in mind there are no half sizes. Blundstone half sizes are for width only. So an 8 1/2 is actually just a size 8 wide.
They are super comfortable and the quality of the leather feels really good. I think I'm sold on the Blundstones!

Super comfortable boot! I am on my feet in these all day and they give great support, easy on and off, true to size, love 'em! The only problem is the toe area wore rather fast, the sole could use improvement.

These are great boots. The only drawback is they run small for size. I always wear a size 7 in everything, but should have ordered the larger size in these as they only come full sizes. I thought that I just needed thinner socks. Wrong! Really, if they don't fit return for larger size.

I am stumped about the Chelsea boots. I loved the look and had read about these boots, so I purchased. The boots were stiff, but I thought would loosen with wear. I wore them everyday for a week and found the right boot pushed my big toe to the front, so severely that it was painful. The left boot fits perfectly. I even thought maybe the boots didn’t match. I added all kinds of different socks and tried them for another week, to no avail. Needless to say, this has been a big disappointment because I wanted these to be my go-to shoes! I wear a size 7 1/2 shoe and bought an 8 in the Chelsea. I don’t know if any other fix, so I can’t recommend this boot.

I'm usually an 8.5 or 9 or a 39 but I couldn't even get my foot into this boot in Aus size 6. I ordered 3 sizes based on other reviewers ,the 6.5 looked like it might fit but again couldn't get my foot in. I was able to put the size 7 on and it felt good ,with a little room for a thick sock. Returning them reluctantly because it was just way too tight around my ankle. I'm going to try the low cut shoe model, fingers crossed.

I was not impressed with the materials, construction, fit, or comfort of these boots - for the price. Nearly $200 is extremely expensive for what you're getting here. I didn't think the comfort level was unusual for this kind of boot, other than they are very lightweight. They basically felt like sneakers. The leather was average for $100 boots. If they were half the price or even 130ish, they'd be worth it.

Trying these on was strange... I also ordered the BL063 to try, and those fit like a glove. These were significantly shorter in length, almost a half size too small, but plenty wide. My big toe hurt after only a few seconds in these, so I'm returning and not looking back.

I was so jazzed by all the reviews so I ordered. I am a women's size 9 and ordered a 6.5. Got them overnight (love that, Zappos!) and tried them on. Felt great at first; however, after 15 minutes they felt really tight over the arch of my foot and the front of my ankle. They seemed to be the right size but just didn't feel right and I hate when my feet hurt. Read that everyone said about "needed to be broken in"; however, for this price I don't want to take the chance. I think it's a great boot, however, not for me. Returning it for a Dansko waterproof boot.

I like the classic look of these boots a lot. Unfortunately, they were shockingly uncomfortable given their reputation. It might be my foot type -- I have very flat feet with plantar fasciitis and a wide toe box from bunions. These weren't quite deep enough for a custom orthotic, but the real issue is that the heel/ankle cup is too narrow and the toe box also fairly narrow, even on the wide sizes. In addition, there is NO comfort padding in the soles. I wore them around the house for a day to see if they'd break in, but I was just left with bruises on my ankles and top of foot near the toe box. These are just too expensive to gamble whether it's an issue of breaking in the leather or not. For the price, I am pretty disappointed. Going to find a cheaper rain-style simple black Chelsea boot for the fall.

I have been a Blundstone advocate for 2 decades now. I still have my pair from 1989- they held up and I still wear them. However- Big caveat- since I loved them, i bout more pairs over the years- the quality had gone way down. My last 2 pairs lasted less than a year. The reason is they changed production, and the fusion of the sole and leather is weaker. The newer upper is cheaper leather, creating bendy stress points that my old pair (same size) never had. Then there's the elastic. 1989 pair- still fine and springy. New pairs give after about a year too, leaving you with bacon elastic on your boots. The new soles have much more 'bounce', which is fine, just doesn't last long. Looking at my 1989 pair and the 2008 pair is a stark contrast. Sad to see this happen, cause i really used to dig these. Seems like they went from a "utility" boot to a fashion business. I have tried other brands, were cheaper and I'm much happier.

Probably would have been great but they shipped a men's size 6.5 instead of women's (and yes, I double checked to make sure I had ordered the correct size)

I have been wearing them now for 3 years. Sizing: I wear a men’s 7.5, women’s 9 wide, and these in AU 6.5. I really like them and can wear them all day. (Im usually a running shoe wearer!). The color holds up nicely and they break in without sore spots as the leather stretches. They take a little effort to get on and off but that gets easier over time and yet are secure. I wear a medium sock.

I’ve gotten these wet, muddy, snowy, and cleaned up to wear with jeans. I wear thick wool socks and they still don't hurt my wide feet. I wear them all day long with custom orthotics. Best boots ever!

My sister has been trying to talk me into Blundstone boots and I wish I had bought them sooner. I read a lot of sizing and bought the Aussie size 5 (I wear an 8 in U.S. and 38 in UK). They were great right out of the box, but I did wear them around the house a bit just to make sure. Now I wear them every day. Comfortable and look good!

This is my fourth pair of Blundstones. I love the quality and simple style. This time I ordered 1/2 size bigger than normal for extra width and so I can add insoles for more arch support and cushion. These boots seem to last forever with a little care,
