These were short and wide. I usually wear an 8 or 8.5 and my foot runs narrow. These were the AU 5.5 (US 8.5) and were too short. Oddly, the model 1464 in the AU 5 (US 8) fits perfectly

Very comfortable. Nice room in the toe box. Boots came with two inserts that could be used to adjust the fit, which I found awesome, because I have one foot that is about a half size smaller than the other. It's a little thing that means a lot!

I love these boots, but no matter which size I got they do not fit. They are quite narrow and leave no room for a heavy sock without being to long. Of course, they are made beautifully but really narrow. I even ordered the mans size. Buying a similar and cheaper pair of Keens instead. They run wider.

I bought 3 pairs of these boots. One pair for wide foot son. He loves them. One pair for flat foot son. He loves them(he usually wears nothing but Toms and Vans so I was surprised and happy, yay! real shoes and he likes them), the third pair for husband who has medium narrowish high arch foot. He loves them also. I am here today to order 2nd pair for flat foot son who would like a pair in each state so there won't be a chance of forgetting them one place or the other. Actually ASKED for another pair. I tried, but they are out of his size.:( The boots have proven, for us, to be durable, comfortable, good support, look great, worth the cost. Given the variety of feet and approval rating from all my guys, I say give them a try, with Zappos, you really have nothing to lose. Thumbs Up

It's hard to find sturdy attractive versatile Chelsea boots for women with a grippy sole! I had a pair of Borns for five years and wore them every day for every activity. When they almost rotted off my feet I was devastated to discover the smallest size available was no longer a euro 39 ( women's 8). Couldn't get them again. :( Anyhoo, these Blundstones finally became available in my size and I bought two pair. So far I love them. I can't speak to their durability yet but they are super comfortable. The heel pull on part was stiff for a few days but I stretched and flexed it for a few minutes and it softened up and stopped putting pressure on the top of my heel . I typically use an arch support insert in all my shoes but it makes this boot too tight to do that with them. That's ok because they are so comfortable and fit so well , I really don't seem to need it with these awesome boots. I love them. Comfortable, sturdy, very well made and solid.

First of all, buyer beware about Blundstone shoe width. According to the Blundstone website, Aussie half sizes are the same length as the first number but a bit wider (e.g., AU 5.5 is the same length as a 5 but wider). I wear a women's US 8.5 (medium width) and ordered the AU 5 (translated as a US 8), which fits perfectly with a thin or medium weight wool sock. These are comfy right out of the box, easy to get on and off, and have an effortlessly cool look. I had a pair of Blundstones ages ago that I wore out after many years of hard wear. Looking forward to doing the same with these.

I got these to wear on construction site visits, for which they are perfect, but now prefer them to my Sorel snow boots for winter because I find them lighter weight and with better grip for walking in icy conditions. At the beginning, they were very tight and I had to use a shoe horn to get them on. I ordered my regular size. They have loosened out, and I can put on without a shoe horn, but still fit perfectly. If I had ordered a half size up I could use the warm inserts that came with for winter.

I wear a size 10 (US) in most footwear and lean toward wide (EE) mostly for the right foot. The AUS 9 is avery good fit in this boot. There is plenty of room (width) in the foot bed w no toe crunch at all. No real problems w break in. No slip when walking. This is the 2nd pair I own w a 3rd on the way, all different colors. The first pair (2 yrs ago) was the very light brown-tan/light sole boot (very nice looking). I don't wear them in wet weather because I don't want to mess with cleaning them, so longevity is something I can't really talk about from experience. I bought these black boots so the cleaning isn't an issue, and some brown ones for variety since the fit is so spot on. Winter is covered. No more boot laces! I work on a college campus and wear for "work" (office type) and "casual" and would recommend for that. My job has me do quite a bit of walking and I've had no problems with rub or discomfort. I wouldn't say not to hike in the woods etc. in them, but I have not used in this way. I like the product a lot. again, for me, the sizing info (aus 9 = us 10) was right on. I do want to add that I had to return the first pair because I didn't know what to make of the sizing. Zappos return policy is gold standard and sets a bar that I believe every other company should strive for as shopping continues to move to e-commerce/internet sales. They truly are serving the greater good of the customers!!!

Don't be fooled by the initial fit: These boots loosen up considerably after a few weeks of wear, and you will definitely need to wear tall socks to break them in. I ordered my regular size and they were pretty snug, so I exchanged for a half size up. They're loose enough now that I probably could have stayed with my regular size, but the half size up gave me room for a support insole. Overall, very comfortable boot.

These are great, I wanted a pair of Chelsea boots for a long time. Turns out my daughter bought these and I loved them so much I bought a pair for myself. Because they are mens, they run wide. Her 10.5's were too short on my feet, but 11 is a little long on me. They are very comfortable and stylish.

I usually wear a size 8, but this boot was a bit tight in that size. Other reviews said that the half sizes were just wider versions of the whole size. A Zappos representative told me that wasn't true, but the 8.5 fit me very well. Consider a half size up if your usual size is too tight.

These boot were comfortable righteous of the box. The separate arches supplied with the shoe made the shoe a bit tight with a heavier sock. You may want to plan for that is ordering. Love the shoe. Wearing it for a trip to Montana for hiking, riding, etc.

I am on my feet all day in and outside! My Blundstone BL558s are the best and breathe so my feet are not hot! My feet feel good at the end of the day! I hate to take them off!

I bought this boot in the winter of 2015 and have waited until now to comment. I live in CO and use the BL558 boot in winter if I'm walking in the city or going to dinner or an event in the mountains. I wear it with wool socks and though I wear US 9 1/2, I bought an Aus 7. It's roomy but has never given me blisters. I have problem feet (bunions and hammertoe), but this boot felt comfortable immediately. The boots are great for walking, look good with jeans or slacks, and stay dry in rain or snow. I've worn mine many times, and they look new. I hesitated buying a boot I couldn't try on first, but decided with Zappos' return policy, I'd give them a try. I'm glad I did!

These are the best boots I have ever owned. I wear them almost every day during the winter which means that my last pair I had didn't last, the bottom rubber wore through and peeled off, the 10 years that my first pair did. Debated on whether to get a new pair bc the quality wasn't the same but so happy I bought them. So they last 4 years not 10, still my go to brand and go to casual boot.

Consistent company. I ordered this model in November 2013 and abused them to the point of tatters. Then I looked up my order history in December 2015 and ordered the exact same boot again. It's nice to have the history and know that the company sticks to its models. Fit/size is spot on. Performance leaves nothing to be desired. Comfort is off the charts.

These are great shoes! They are very comfortable and supportive. They come with an extra insole that you can put beneath the one already in the shoe for some extra cushion or to adjust the fit if the shoe is a little roomy. I typically wear a 7½ or 8 and was a solid 8 (Australian 5) in these.

I tried the 585 in 8.5 and they were snug, so I tried this style in a 9 and they are much wider and bigger so I am returning these and going to try the 585 in a 9. Great service from Zappos.

I love these boots! I tried on several pairs of Blundstones in 4.5s and 5s (AU sizes), and these were the ones I ended up keeping. I generally wear a 7.5 or 8 in women's US sizes, so I would say that the size conversion was accurate. I ended up going with the size 5 (US 8) in these boots, because they were more comfortable with a mid-weight sock for my high instep. I still may look at getting a pair with a slightly thinner sole as well, but these are going into my regular fall/winter shoe rotation. These boots are comfortable out of the box, even though the boot shaft is a bit stiff. For women, this boot is a bit on the utilitarian side, but I wore them with rolled skinny jeans and button down shirt and received many compliments on them. If you were to wear them with a bootcut pant, I think you could get away with wearing them in a dress-casual office setting. (I work in a casual office.) The color is an oiled black, so these do not have a polished finish. I would highly recommend these as a comfy, casual boot for either men or women.

These are very comfortable boots. I am very pleased with the purchase. I read a lot of the sizing reviews and bought my usual size (7.5) in US (I wear a 7.5 to 8 US) and they fit like a glove. I can and do wear these boots all day.

A cool pair of kicks. There will be some break in of the leather heel. comfortable and conforming out of the box. Sure to mold and conform to a perfect fit. Four star for comfort soon to be 5 star.

Very comfortable shoes. I have had at least eight pairs through the years. I can't stress how comfortable they are! But that's I why I keep wearing them. Sadly my opinion is that I think the quality may have gone downhill. I tend to be hard on shoes but the sidewalls blow out before treads show any significant wear. Amanda in customer service was very helpful in steering me in the direction of something to replace my beloved blunnies. Thank you, Zappos.

Awesome boots. They fit very well, are very comfortable (though feels like they need to be broken-in to reach maximum comfort). They're warm enough to walk around in cold temps and on snow, they don't slip (so far at least), and provide good support. If you wonder about their airport friendliness - they are airport friendly. I tested them with full airline uniform (including belt, badge) and it did not trigger the magnetometer. Very happy with my purchase!
