Stylish, better padding and arch support than the Chuck Taylors. But, wow, are they narrow. Even for my B-width foot.

I bought these shoes to replace my old Jack Purcell low profile leather Ox's. As a person w/large feet (10), high rubber soles and large toe caps make my feet appear even larger. However, the rounded edge of the toe cap and the just off-white color of the rubber are forgiving on large feet. I bought these in a 10 and they fit perfectly, unlike the standard Converse Ox which runs a 1/2 size large. The brass-toned hardware is that color throughout, it is not a coating that will flake off (unlike some other Converse shoes I own). The "grape leaf" color is slightly lighter than pictured, but not enough to make me notice until I came to write this review. Overall this is a great shoe that I've been wearing almost daily for over a month and I plan to buy another pair in a different color.

A great comfortable shoe as you would expect from a Jack Purcell Converse. This is my 3rd pair of JP's and they look great and I like the duck canvas material used in the uppers. I do have one complaint. While these shoes are of excellent quality, they are not on the same level as earlier versions of the Jack Purcell's. They are much more similar to the Chuck Taylor's in form and finish than the JP's. Not a terrible thing, just something I have noticed.

Love these sneakers! The neutral color works well with everything and they are comfortable and stylish.

As an over-50 something I've worn Converse Chucks for years. Recently I've worn them less because there's just not enough footbed padding. I'm a teacher, on my feet all day, and it was just not working. A colleague recently turned me on to Jack Purcells and I'm so happy! The look is similar (even cuter) and the feel is great! Nice amount of padding in the sole. I'm looking at colors now, ready to get another pair.

My favorite sneaker ever, so I ordered another pair identical to the first. Inevitably makes people smile when they see me (or my feet), including me. Most comfortable pair of sneakers I've owned to date. So I presume removable padded insole and arch support are excellent contributions.

I recently ordered a pair of Jack Purcell Converse shoes for my son. The price of the shoes was one of the cheapest I found plus the shipping was free. The customer representative was very helpful and friendly. I placed my order on a Saturday and was told my son would receive the shoes three days later on Tuesday. I was very surprised and happy when my son called me Monday night to let me know he had already received his shoes. He said they fit perfectly, and he liked them. I would recommend Zappos for online shopping, especially during the Christmas season.

Great shoe. Only issue is I have fat toes so occasionally my toes rub on the rubber toe cap. They are very comfortable and seem to have better soles than Chuck Taylors.

I grew up wearing Jack Purcell sneaks so I already knew these would be lightweight, comfortable and long wearing but it's this fun, very good looking update to this classic that got me to buy this pair and I love them.

A fun summer shoe. I'm really disappointed in Converse for changing the key design cues of the Jack Purcell. No padded tongue, no metal tips on the laces and the most egregious of all – the smile on the toe has been altered. It is no longer deeply embossed. Now it's almost painted on. With that said, it's still a very nice and comfortable shoe. Just not quite what it used to be. This particular style is great for summer wardrobes and has a relaxed style to it. I would get them again.

Great shoe, these have become my every day shoe replacing my chucks. The shoe is well made and offer a lot more support then regular chucks do.

Great shoe for weight lifting. Good sole that sits flat to the floor with very little give. Perfect for squats and dead lifts.

Compared to regular Converse, which I have been wearing for 15 years, these have great arch support. I'll never go back to the regular Cons. I actually prefer the styling of these too. I keep looking for red/maroon ones.

Love them...comfortable but kind of narrow. I want a pair of leather ones now!

I have other Purcell sneakers, and would say these felt a bit smaller, but not too small. Otherwise, I love the shoes, exactly what I expected them to be.

The color of this shoe is so unusual. It\'s very subtle, and any guy who wears these is instantly cool. Add the awesome retro style to the color, and you\'ve got a winner.

Everyone loves them - Very cool shoe, the patent leather makes them different from your typical Jack Purcell. I'm getting them for a friend in white.

Stylish but not as comfortable as I had hoped. Shoe seems a little stiff. Hopefully it will get more comfortable with wear.

Typical Converses but better! The material is soft and a little sassier than the original. I always have to order 1/2 size smaller in Converses. I am always a 6, had to send back for a 5 1/2. Great for everyday!

I already own five pairs of Jacks. The fit is the same, I usually wear a 6.5 in sandals/flats/pumps and a 7 in sneakers (with socks). I fit a 6.5 without socks and a 7 with socks. The only reason this loses a star is because the color is not nearly as bright as pictured. It's much more of a brown clay color and more faded. Not sure if I'm keeping them.

I am returning them. There's a loose thread on one of the sneakers. Let's face it, ever since Converse stopped being made in the USA, Converse quality has been going downhill. I am so sad to have to return my Converse Jack Purcell LTT Ox.

I love the look of this shoe, but it's just very uncomfortable for long periods of walking. I also have another pair of these in plain black so I was expecting the same fit, unfortunately that wasn't the case.

I just bought several pair of converse shoes and every single pair was uncomfortable. They are all going back. They all rubbed and made me walk funny, couldn't wait to get them off! Also kinda looked like guy shoes.
