Too tight across the little toe area. The straps cut into me, even in a size WW. Very pretty shoes, otherwise. But I just couldn't keep them as I would only be able to wear them for 10 minutes!

I love the style and shape of these beautiful sandals. I wear wide shoes. My regular size was short and tight, so I went up half a size in WW. Both sizes have the same size soles. These are not wide shoes, there are just longer straps over the top so the wearer's feet wind up hanging over the sides even though the straps go over the top. That is not a comfortable way to wear shoes.

Vaneli usually fits great on my 11N feet, but not these. There're too short and too narrow. They are great looking if you find a pair that fits.

This is a beautiful shoe but it is too narrow for my right foot. This is the first time this brand of shoe has fit in such a manner.

These are very pretty shoes, but after I wore them for only a few hours at church, they hurt my feet.

I have a narrow foot and when I ordered the narrow size I couldn't fit the front of my foot in the shoe. When I tried the medium, I could fit the front of my foot but the back was too loose. It was a shame because I really liked the shoes.

The gold color was more slivery/pale gold. The straps are nice and soft; however, the wide width I ordered wasn't much wider than a regular width shoe. These will be going back.

I was looking forward to getting this shoe, because the detail is so pretty. But the straps are too loose to be called a narrow. Even adjusting the sling, I didn't feel steady in the shoe. I would suggest looking for a wider heel as well.

Very comfortable and sturdy, but way too narrow. I'm usually a medium and my foot did not fit in the toe area. I'm looking to order a wide because the over all shoe was very nice.

Feels cheap, flimsy. I ordered a WW because I need the sole width (still not wide enough), but the straps are so much too big I could fit my whole hand under them. Wide shoe does not have to mean tall foot!!

I wear a 7.5 M size shoe. I have several pairs of Vaneli shoes in other styles that fit very well in my usual size. The Vaneli Modesta was just what I was looking for to replace a pair of Vaneli sandal similar in style (strappy black patent with moderate heel) that I enjoyed wearing until my dog munched on the heel of one. They were very versatile, lightweight and good for travel, and comfortable. The size 7.5 Modesta was the correct length, but the straps across the toes were quite snug. Patent leather does not relax with wear, so I am returning the shoes. Also, the stitching on the underside of the straps felt rough, uncomfortable, and potentially irritating. That being said, the style of this shoe is great - an all around basic sandal that would work well with almost anything and I am disappointed that they were not a good fit for me.

Miserably uncomfortable! Can't stand to walk in them. I have a narrow foot, so not sure why they are so painful.

I ordered the AAA, because my feet are really narrow. The straps around the toes were extremely tight, while the upper part of the shoe (toward the arch), were too wide. Very strange. I had to return them.
