These are roomy, sturdy boots. If you don't want to wear thick socks with them, order a size down. Great for slogging through mud, working in the garden, perfect for what I wanted. As always, Zappos has wicked customer service, fast shipping and great products.

Boots were cute, but did not give any room to tuck pants in along with my 16" calves. Returning them and going to try the Hunter Huntress rainboots.

I just got these boots today, and they are great! They are so cute, I love the contrasting color behind the buckle. And they are very comfortable and fit well on my feet. My favorite thing about them, though, is that they fit over my calves! I tried the Hunter boots but they were not even close to fitting over my calves. Don't get me wrong, I don't have huge calves; I am just athletic and actually have a little bit of muscle in my legs. These boots fit over my muscular calves, they are adorable, they come up to just a little below the knee...perfect. (I am from Seattle, so I know quality rain gear when I see it!)

I was debating between these and the similar Hunter boots. The others always fit just a little too tightly around the calf, and the measurements on these were slightly shorter and slightly wider. And they worked perfectly.

These have been a life saver this winter. It's been perfect for the snow, rain and icy conditions. Last year during major snow storms I fell a few times. Have not had this problem this year with these boots (knock on wood). The shoes are a little heavy, but I like to think I'm getting a work out while I walk. Style-wise, they aren't as stylish as Hunter boots, but I think they are still nice looking and I have worn them with a dress. I've gotten compliments on them.

Love the rubber rain boot! My calves were a bit too wide for Hunter boots so I settled on these. They fit my calves perfectly and look great with skinny jeans. I usually wear a 6.5 so went down rather than up half a size and it was perfect!

They look cute, although they reminded me a bit of fishing waders. I have athletic calves and am 5'2", I usually wear size 7. These were perfect in the calf (couldn't go smaller with thick socks and jeans inside, though) and I liked the height but the actual foot was huge.

Love the boots but was a tad big. I had to wear thick socks which was fine in the snow.

I wear a size 6.5 and originally got the 7, but they were way too big. The 6 fit great. I also got them in pink and get compliments every time I have worn them. I found it difficult to drive my car in them, but other than that I pretty much love them.

I searched high and low for a pair of sturdy neutral colored knee high rain boots that were wide enough for me to tuck in my jeans. I have 13" calves and I intend to wear these boots in the rain and snow so they needed to be waterproof with some insulation from the cold. I narrowed it down to Hunter's Huntress and the Tretorn Langta. I chose Tretorn because 1) it's half the price of Hunters, 2) the buckle is actually adjustable, 3) every other female in NYC has a pair of Hunters already, 4) other reviews of Hunters vs Tretorn indicated that the Tretorns kept your feet warmer in the snow. With the Hunters, there is the option of buying the interior fleece sock which can be worn in the snow and removed when the temps are warmer. However, I already find it impractical to pay a lot for a pair of boots that will be trudged through rain, slush, snow and mud and then spend more money to buy an interior fleece sock for added warmth. That's just me being frugal. Nonetheless, I've worn the Tretorn boots a few times in the most recent snowstorm here in NYC and they have held up well. The 14" shaft is high enough to cover my calves but not too high where they dig into the back of my knee when sitting. If they were any higher they probably would bother me. I only wish that the sole had more traction for walking on icy patches. The shoe does run about half a size big but I don't mind it. I am a size 6 and bought a 6. My toes have some wiggle room even with very thick socks on which is fine with me. I've walked about a total of 3 miles in these and they have been very comfortable. All in all, this is a keeper.

So far so good. I had been buying cheap $20 rain boots which would end up leaking after a few wears. I walk a ton and needed something durable. These fit well and seem to be holding up fine. Only weird thing I've noticed is a very thin film on the boots is peeling off in a couple of spots. It's most likely just the wear and tear of the rubber.

I can't wait for it to rain because I am so excited to wear these. They fit well for someone with big calves like me (I'm about 16" to 16.5"). I think maybe they would be too big for someone with normal to thin calves. They are perfect for me and I love how they look and fit. I was able to put them on with my flared jeans tucked in and they were snug. If I were to widen the buckle, however, I would have room, which is nice to know I have an option.

Just got these boots today and I am very happy with them! They have a little more room for your calves than others I've tried and it is easy to fit in a thick sock and tuck in your jeans! They are adjustable at the top for more room and the olive/pink color is very cute!

I had very bulky, heavy, expensive but nice rain boots to wear even in snow from Tretorn before this new pair. The old one, the zipper broke, and it was super hard to take them off. It only lasted about 1-2 years. Although, this time, I decided to stick to Tretorn brand after all the research of different rain boots. I am glad that I got them. I love them. They are super easy to take off, cute & very soft. I haven't tried them in the snow or icy road yet, so I can't comment on it. The size on the web and the size tag of the boots were not matching. So I had to order an extra pair to see the matching size.

Great quality. Not as nice as those beautiful Hunter's, but a lot better than the fake wellies that you can get at Target and such. Love the little heel! And are great for raking the leaves but stylish enough to wear with a pair of jeans!

An excellent product. Just enough heel for maximum comfort, and the calf is greatly fitted. I absolutely love the texture inside, and the boots are very durable. The color was a nice luxurious black, non-shine. Excellent and better than expected service from Zappos!

I decided to get the Tretorn Langta as a replacement for the more expensive Hunter boots that I had purchased and gave out after only one season of trudging New York slush & snow. These Tretorns are so much better - they're wider on the instep, which is especially helpful when you need to put on thicker fleece socks to ward off the winter cold. The calf area is also more generous - even adjustable - enough to tuck your jeans in. I pair these rainboots with the Hunter wellie socks plus another lighter pair of socks, and my feet are dry and toasty all day. These Tretorns were my go-to footwear all winter (and we had a very snowy and busy winter in NY this year), and they never failed!

I wound up returning them because the leg part was way too wide and they weren't staying on properly. It was kind of a shame because they were beautiful and seemed like quality for the $$$.

I traipsed all over Paris in snow and rain in these boots. Super comfortable (with a thick sock for warmth). Enough support for miles of walking and good traction on slippery Metro steps. With skinny jeans or leggings it was just chic enough (in an equestrian kind of way) to pop into a bistro. I never write reviews but these boots turned out to be the best items I packed. (Actually I didn't pack them, I wore them on the plane and they were really easy to get off/on in the security lines!)

I love these boots. Great fit, super comfortable, and they kept my feet warm and dry. A little bigger than the typical sizing, but just gives you room for thick socks. Great buy.

Just got my boots in the mail and I love them! I tried Hunter rain boots first and they were not for me. I have very athletic calves and Hunter boots were too tight on my leg. The Tretorn boots are a wonderful fit and I have room to even tuck in my pants. The lining is really soft and warm. The rubber is also very soft and more of a matte finish which I like since it tends to be a little less flashy than most rain boots. I am already considering getting another color. Definitely worth every penny.
